Im 12 years old.
I have autism.
This is my story.
For as long as I can remember, Ive been different. My mom has told me so many times. Kids would make fun of me because I couldnt say words the way they could. Sentences that would seem right in my mind would get jumbled and come out all messed up. Id try over and over to say something simple, but I would end up getting frustrated and crying. Mom would make sure to hug me every time because she knew how hard it was for me.
They also made fun of me because I would always carry a crayon case. Anywhere I went, I had to have this thing around me. Mom said that sometimes I would get so in to it that I wouldnt pay attention to anything else. I loved that case. I took it everywhere until one day I lost it. I was so upset I cried for days. Dad tried buying me another one, but it wasnt the same.
My mom tried putting me in school for kindergarten, but it didnt work that well. She thought

with vacant eyes, unruffled.
Eyes that see but do not look
like those of a sentinel,
who has lost his soul in a forgotten skirmish.
People grin and wave
to no avail---he would not talk.
Words fall upon his heedless ears,
Ears that hear but never listen.
His countenance is bleak with rigidity,
Cast on by a void of emotions.
For there was no frown, fear or tear,
not even traces of a smile.
And day by day
he walks alone
with no perceptible aim,
or discernible purpose.
His feet patter muffled
upon streets consumed by noises and fumes
where bright lights dance
and music booms
by those empty orbs and stone deaf ears.
Can he hear me?
I try to speak but he stares
into an entirely different world.
As if searching for something, yet not so.

With the best singing voice
But being deaf
As to never hear it
I regard the world
From a world
Of my very own
Printed upon the pages
Are just blurs
Of colorless rainbows
But the notes
The concerto of Beethoven
This is when
All smile and take notice
That I'm not
The world is a blur
Moving fast around me
And I am
I wail and scream
For it to make sense
Or to slow it's pace
But it never does
Nobody listens to me,
They just smile
But their eyes
Show their pain
Wants their children
Touched in the head
I'm not stupid
I'm just different
Just accept it
I may be smarter
Than all around me
But I can't
I take in every word
In hopes of grasping
These petty problems
You dare to cry out
Sometimes you forget
I can hear like you
That I know when your eyes leak
It means you're sad
I know at times
You forget I too
Feel and fear
I'm more than you think
But then again
Green dot stuffsTo be honest, kids with disabilities used to scare me; it's not nice to say, but it's the honest truth. I didn't know how to treat them or how to react around them. Most of what I knew about kids with Autism I learned from a two-day lecture about mental disabilities in my psychology class last trimester, and we barely covered how to treat them, mostly talking about what was happening in the brain to make them the way they were.Green dot stuffs3 years ago in Sketches More Like This
Autism, I learned on the first day lecture, was really a blanket term. If you had only a few of the symptoms you could be labeled as Autistic, so the cases ranged from acute to severe, and it depended on the individual person.
It wasn't hard to tell who was 'officially' autistic and who wasn't, kids with Autism must have three symptoms to be declared that way: Eyes are farther apart from each other than considered 'normal', the philtrum (that little dip under your nose) must be pretty much non-existant, and your upper lip must be very thin. Even though I see kid

Character Creation GuideThere are no hard, permanently set rules for creating a character, but there are things that work and things that don't.Character Creation Guide4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
By this point most people are familiar with the term 'Mary Sue' or 'Gary Stu'. They're words used to categorize a particular brand of underwhelming characters. A 'Mary Sue' is just an extreme stereotype example, just as some other terms are. Everyone who knows of them knows how to avoid making one -- or think they know. A character that isn't a 'Mary Sue' is not immediately compelling. The avoidance of the extreme does not mean the character is awesome, it just means they don't suck at the most extreme level.
For all intents and purposes a character is a person separate from their creator. Sometimes a character might be the embodiment of what a owner wants to be or how they see themselves; we call this a self-insert, and this should be avoided. Each character is going to have a different style. Each will speak, think and communicate different from

It was brought up recently in a place where such conversations are safe, that in a Christian home we grew up expected to be happy. We learned to stuff our other feelings, because they were inappropriate.
I remember my father telling me to smile or not to look so moody. I spent a lot of time in other worlds, I didn't mean to look anything. It hurt when he said that. Like he had to be in control of everything about me all the time. And it's not like he ever asked if there was something wrong. Because nothing was ever wrong. (Unless I asserted some sort of independent thought.)
How was it any of his business? People cannot always smile. And they certainly cannot look like whatever someone else feels they need the person to look like at that moment. It is purely absurd to think otherwise. And abusive. If I gave any negative reaction to his order, I was in for another lecture, or at least unkind words.
Parents, do not do this to your children. Please.

An essay by Traci Johnson (Loco Exclaimer)
This is an essay on homosexuality, especially that portrayed in relationships between the fictional characters in the fandom Transformers. The first half deals exclusively with homosexuality as an issue in itself with little to no mention of any fandom, and details my point of view on this issue. The second half details said relationships as portrayed between any two given characters from Transformers. I hope you enjoy.
Part One: Homosexuality, Morality, and Religion
I honestly find it revolting that religion is even an issue when it comes to homosexuality. It's an issue of discrimination against human beings, and ought to be treated as such. Women were seen as second-class in Biblical times; does that make them lesser beings? No.
Still, this section will deal with the "morals and ethics" of being gay.

I have never heard of this or looked into it much, until now. It should be put out there, people need to know about this if they do not. Pit bulls are not the only ones in this concern. In the US, 75 and a possible increase of breeds of dogs are being labeled with bad raps and considered dangerous in many states. Some breeds are not allowed at all in certain states/cities, they are banned completely. If you own a dog, find out about the restrictions for the dog and before moving to any new town or city, check with the city hall. The infamous list below has been making it's way through the internet, convincing gullible owners that it's true.. well, not all of it.

I was too patient with your nonsense critics but now it´s time to send you a letter explaining what your critics are ridiculous:
I will start with the religious fanatics.
I read some theories, watched some videos of Christians priests saying Pokémon is satanic and Immoral:
For example you consider The pokémon are demons and capturing and using they are like do a pact with the devil.
The only thing that I must to say its this ridiculous, the pokémons aren´t demons I never see in a game you must give your soul to Pikachu to use them, or made a pentacle and say some words in Latin to fight with him.
The badges aren´t magical artifacts used to control the pokémon they are like a sample of respect, you have this and the pokémon know you are an honorable one and your party will follow you.

Lack of Adult Humour - I don't mean Adult humour as in "Boobs!" "Sex!" "Gay!", I mean Adult humour that is adult in that kids are way too young to understand it. How many children would be able to see the themes present in WALL E? When Angelica told Tommy he's not supposed to let anyone in, even Saddam Hussein, how many kids would have known who he was? How many children would have recognized how Dinosaurs were a lot like our societies today?

There is only one way to "know" you're trans. And that's because you feel you are. Does this answer seem vague to you? It should, because it is. As much as others would like to tell you otherwise, there is no "test" for being trans. There is no criteria that if you check enough boxes, congratulations, you're transgendered. I ID very strongly as trans, but I fail nearly every single criteria required for Aetna's insurance coverage of trans care. In Aetna's eyes, I'm not a "true transsexual,"
