The Last Shooter: Spec Ops the LineThis discussion came to me while watching a walkthrough of this game and I felt like putting it somewhere. The Last Shooter: Spec Ops the Line2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm generally a fan of Shooter video games. They're fast paced, require a certain amount of skill to complete (the good ones) and are exciting to play with gorgeous vistas, creative monsters, and sometimes interesting plots to unravel like in Bioshock, which I still consider one of the best game plots of all time. Shooters to me are less aggravating then fighting games, less time consuming then roleplaying games, less lonesome generally then puzzle games if you can find friends to co-op. Certainly Shooters have gotten a little samey over the past few thanks to everyone either copying Modern Warfare or Gears of War but some of my fondest gaming memories remain co-opping with my brothers on Halo 3 and having a blast.
I've seldom played a straight up military shooter. My confusion originally lay in why anyone would want to play a video game with such a limited arse

Is Street Photography a snapshot?IS STREET PHOTOGRAPHY A SNAPSHOT?Is Street Photography a snapshot?1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
Duh, of course not. Well, sometimes (ok, often) a great street photo is a matter of luck. Sometimes it just happens to be in the right place in the right moment and notice it.
But often a good street photo is the outcome of a wise direction work. Which doesn't mean staging or posing elements, but playing with unaware 'actors' in a candid setting. Street photos are a matter of spirit of observation, capacity of anticipating and visualizing happenings.
Sometimes a street photographer is able to take the photo he had in mind. But street photography is unpredictable and erratic and requires a lot of flexibility and readiness from the photographer, that might have to react fast to situations not to miss a good, unplanned and not foreseen moment.
The decisive moment is more important than composition, in street photography, but let's not forget that a decisive moment plus a good composition can make all the difference.

Being Devious - ` for one year - A Feature!I was reminded today (thank you Allyntu) that May 1, 2013 marks the anniversary of my deviousness award!Being Devious - ` for one year - A Feature!1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
It seems incredible that it has been a year since that absolutely amazing day, but since then so much has happened both on dA and in my life.
When I received the award, I was the youngest recipient to have ever received it. Since then, my close friend and amazing deviant, winehaus has beaten me!
I would just like to take a moment and thank you all for being absolutely amazing deviants. My time on dA is incredible, and I look forward to a future continuing to be incredibly active here.
I wish to keep this short and sweet, but, wanted to include some of my favorite deviations from the last year.
Finally read BEN DrownedSo yeah, FINALLY took the time to read Ben's story XDFinally read BEN Drowned1 year ago in Personal More Like This
And I must say, Ben was added to my art due to popular demand. In the beginning to me he was just one of those random creepypastas who I didn't really care about, like how Tails Doll or Sonic.exe is to me currently. Basically someone who I don't really care for and is just there.
But after reading his story, watching the videos, and chatting with him on cleverbot (XD) I think he's probably one of my top creepypastas now, right beside Splendorman and Eyeless Jack.
I spent over an hour just reading the damn thing, watching the videos, and looking at pictures to do with Ben; which is the longest I've ever spent on a single pasta.
The pasta itself was well done, and didn't contain too many cliches that I've seen in other videogame pastas.
Although the part about finding the cartridge at a garage sale of a creepy and mysterious old man, that part I've seen once or twice before in other video game pastas. But of course, I don't

Honestly didn't see that one coming, but I am happy nonetheless. While the first game wasn't very remarkable, I just love the art style and the stark contrast the game presents compared to every other post-apocalyptic-near-future-world that exists. Chock me up to interested.
Didn't see this one coming either. Quite surprised, but personally don't care. I've never really paid attention to fighting games much, yes even Super Smash Bros. I have a feeling this will be one of those games that we think will be amazing, but the newest generation of kids won't understand why they should care (kinda like DuckTales).
Sidenote: Quite disappointed with the way they handled the demonstration by bringing out a woman to play multiplayer with and "destroying" her while simultaneously saying shit like "just give up... it will be over soon." Scripted or not, that scene was appalling.
Minecraft on Xbox One
I'm... actually quite disappointed by this as
E3 Thoughts Day 3Wii Fit TrainerE3 Thoughts Day 31 year ago in Personal More Like This
You know, I was on the fence about the new Smash Bros game. Even with Mega Man I didn't really see anything remarkable about the game to peak my interest. But then when Nintendo unveiled the Wii Fit personal trainer as a playable character? F**k Yeah! Bludgeon your opponents to death with YOGA moves? That's the sort of nonsensical whimsy that I think was sorely lacking from this version of franchise. Count me in!
Still not sure how the 3DS and Wii U version are going to interact with each other, if at all. Iwata has said that the 3DS will have different stages, so that suggests that they aren't compatible. But then, if they're not compatible, why put out 2 games at once? Frankly, I like the idea of being able to play against Wii U opponents from the comfort of my 3DS. That would be really cool, but I don't know if that's a thing they're looking to do or not. Hmm..
PS: Maybe it's just me, but I found it rather hilarious how all the characters were practicing Yoga

The Visual Delicacy of Decay
It’s easy to think of art in terms of what is instantly pleasing to the eye, artworks which
evoke a feeling of joy and hopefulness and blissful peacefulness or ecstatic exultation.
This is the consideration of art as something that helps propel us forward through life – to out future great
deeds, our career victories, or dreams of coming big events. But there is a peak to every life. At some point all
people, and all places, and even all ideas have to begin the inevitable decline that is the other balancing half of a lifetime.

Nerd Girls: Nothing to Prove
So this music video has been circulating the web recently about the whole stupid "nerd girls" problem and I think it's pretty cool. Some of the more famous people in the video include Kelly Sue Deconnick, Amy Berg, John Scalzi, Josh A. Cagan, Adam Savage, Paul & Storm, Wil Wheaton, and Marian Call.

So I was just stopped by a cop....I wasn't driving. I was walking. He drives up, rolls down the window, and says something I don't quite hear. I say hello. He repeats it. "How old are you?"So I was just stopped by a cop....2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm in shock. I ask, "How OLD am I?"
"I'm 29!!" (I'm sure I sounded incredulous.)
I say, "I have my license if you want to see it." He wants to see it so I give it to him. He looks and hands it back.
He thought I was a highschool truant.
The moral of the story is that I should stop wearing clothing a teenager might wear because as I continue to get older and not to age it will become more and more unbelievable that I am as old as I say I am and I don't look forward to being driven in the back of a police car to the nearest high school, in tears BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY DONE MY TIME!

Well... it's not gotten any better and it's gotten surprisingly worse (if possible).
This isn't just some mild 'problem'... I think this kind of thing is kind of serious, I don't know. To me it's just everyday life so...
Apparently what I experienced today was a mental and physical breakdown. Second in my life; the first being a few days after my grandfather died back in some years back.
After posting that little 'vent' to Tumblr earlier yesterday morning I went out to go make some breakfast when the coast was clear.
I got up feeling woozy but thought nothing of it until I got to the kitchen and fell onto the floor.
Now, I'll be frank with you...I can't quite remember all that happened and it's just n
Ok, good and bad news here....The good news is, my dad happened to fix my ps3 for me and I want to thank you all for your advices and help as well ;u; as it seems pretty much my ps3 overheated, my dad also happened to clean it too, and boy was it dusty O.o, so time of death on my ps3 has survived he is a fighter! *hugz ps3 and hugz my daddy too 8D I am so happy. He even said this " If you have a yellow light of death problem, I'll fix it for you, but for a price" >;| XDDD, I think he was being serious too, it's kinda hard to tell from my dad when he's being funny, but he fixed it and also I happened to save all my games on what I could just in case this time.Ok, good and bad news here....2 years ago in Personal More Like This
On the other hand of the bad news.... theirs Hurricane Sandy.... I'm kinda nervous about it, as it's pretty much coming our way, but hopefully it won't be as bad, when it comes towards this way O_O;... we pretty much got all our food supplies and stuff done, so hopefully that will last us for a bit, and also the power might go out or it might not,, my parents

EDIT: Okay, so her dog has some kind of mites/bugs that are chewing his fur out and I really don't want to go there for a night and risk bringing those (whatever they are) back with me to my cats =/ She's got something for the dog but it's not working just yet... and I really really really don't want to risk it. So I went out to eat with her and her BF and then hung out a while and now I'm home.
It's okay though I had fun regardless.
So I might as well stream for a bit anyway Kind of feel like doing something sad again.
Not that I'm sad but, I have an idea in my head I want to try for something.
I won't say what.
I'll be gone for the night so I won't be checking anything
Gone off to my cousin's house. I have to get away from this place... so I'm off to bother her.
No stream tonight. M

I figured I'd just vomit out all I'd been thinking about this experience. In case anyone's interested.
Feel like I've learned a lot. Prostitute was dipping my toes in to the world of film-making. Fire Tiger vs Acid Panther is easing in waist deep - still a practice film, but I wanted to make it as good as I possible could. I don't think I did that.
I thought having made Prostitute I would have been equipped for this one. Boy was I wrong. But, like I've always been saying, FTAP was always a practice film. And I genuinely feel like this time I've learned enough to make my next film a true reflection of what visions I have in my head. (Though I'll probably be unpleasantly surprised again next time.)
The animation is just okay as I ran out of time for it and I jus

WE GOT A HOUSE!!!And it's PERFECT!!! We're signing the lease this Saturday. Oh my goodness, you guys, I am so happy about this.WE GOT A HOUSE!!!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's a little house on 100 DANG ACRES of farmland, on a hill, so we have this incredible view of the valley and the mountains FROM OUR LOVELY WOODEN PORCH, and the lady who is renting the house to us owns all the land, which she uses for all sorts of adorable animals. There's one animal in particular, a sheep named Fluffy , that just sort of roams around and hangs out in what will be our yard whenever it wants. And we'll have a nice big back yard that's pretty flat, so it'll be great for entertaining and stuff, then a big kitchen, living room and dining room. It's just perfect. Also, the owner plans on having us (Me, my sister and my brother) help with farm chores, which I'm kind of psyched about, because I LOVE everything about farms, AND this lady is basically going to teach me everything she knows about vet-related stuff, which is what I'm going to be studying ne

but I've been reading through chapter one, and it's just embarrassing! I mean, I made it over 2 years ago and I cannot stand the style, or the backgrounds or the dialogue! I just hate it xD It's way too fast paced, it's amateur and unoriginal.
I'm going to completely redo chapter 1. For AGES I've been replanning chapter 1 and I'm finally going to begin to redo it. Of course this means a while until the story is carried on. But I dont want to be embarrassed by it anymore :c
So I hope that's okay!~

When the New Year's came around, I gave myself a bit of an ultimatum for my resolution. It was one of two things: "Follow my dreams or accept reality." Accepting reality would mean dropping the things that I love to do. Get a "real" job. And take care of business. I may be really realistic but I'm a stubborn ol' dream chaser. Reality?? Ain't nobody got time fo' that! All I want to see is my dream become a reality! Who wouldn't want their dream t

Look, I know you are struggling and I understand that moving on and stepping forward has been so hard for such a long time. I understand how difficult it can be to trust that not everything stays horrible and bad; that there's somehow a light out there amid the darkness. Trust me, believe me, I know.
For the most part you'll read this and be skeptical. How could anyone know what it's like but you? Surely this is just another one of those posters on the bus stop, another one of those cheap 'hang in there' slogans brought on to help stave off an ever growing population of graves, more and more of which hold occupants of their youth rather than of the ages.
But this is not that kind of message.
I've been there. I've seen what happens to people wh
