Castles in the Air"Momma, w-what is the outside l-like?"
"M'hm! The outside!"
It's really cold. It hasn't started snowing yet, but it's almost the middle of November, it will soon. There were flurries the other day, but you and your sister were asleep and all I could do was stare out the window and wish we weren't stuck behind gray, gray fence, and solemn-faced guards who either

love torturing the people they're protecting.
I wish I could have woken you two up and showed you how pretty the flurries were: snow, caught up in the wind and making mesmerizing circle-like patterns before landing in a scattered heap on the cracked ground below, a thing not worthy for something so pure. I wish the snow would fall and melt and leave something beautiful behind. I wish the ground would absorb something other than the blood spilled by the people starving alongside us for being nothing but

Battle Royale - OneOver and over again, I sat back and watched countless fights in the house where we all lived. All but a few were minor, of course, so I never really worried; arguments were very common in the house. As horrible as it sounds, only one out of the many arguments ended in death.Battle Royale - One6 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
But lets not recap that. Thats a completely different story.
After a while, it seemed as though the arguments finally started to die down, even to the point where we decided to try a vacation. Luckily for us, we were offered a once in a lifetime trip to a local island, just a few miles off the coast.
It didnt take us long to ponder the offer; we eagerly accepted.
Once in a lifetime trip.
They sure as hell werent lying.
It all started on a rainy evening. Everyone was exhausted from packing and the majority of the group was thankful to finally be able to relax now that they were on their way to the island.
Many of the houses residents were sitting in their seat

Once Upon a Vacation Part OneAs if her headache wasnt bad enough, the thick smell of cheap soap mixed with laundry detergent and the many noises around her was slowly transforming her headache into a full blown migraine.Once Upon a Vacation Part One6 years ago in Humor More Like This
Haruka had been trying for an hour, maybe more now to block out these annoyances and try to sleep, but Daniel and Hexs bickering from across the room prevented her from doing so. Sure she had the choice of going to her room upstairs, but she knew better; she knew that Chiaki would be there, just a few rooms down from her own listening to his annoying Japanese screamo.
With a loud sigh, Haruka rolled over to face the back of the couch and pulled a tattered pillow over her head, muffling all the irritating noises around her. Peace at last
As she dozed off, her thoughts drifted to Gigi, as they always did. Where was she now? What was she doing? And most importantly, was she ok
Her thought was interrupted and her daze was broken by a loud shriek coming from across the room wher

babygotback lol purrrfect. no 1 is on. now is the purrrfect time to write my new novel; the Life and Times of RORRRRIM.
babygotback It was a dark and stormy night when the hot pink samurais attacked. All the senoritas cowered in fear as the pitiful senors fled the scene but I, RORRRRIM, stood my ground. As the samurais attacked, I blew them each away with my flowing raven hair for they were no match for me!

Exodus - Chapter OneI guess its kinda odd to start a story, especially one like this, at the end, but why try to start a story about the end at the beginning? Instead, let me start here.Exodus - Chapter One6 years ago in Scraps More Like This
Just like the Berlin wall, just like that stupid old rhyme Humpty Dumpty, just like, yes, the American economy, everything around me started falling apart. Everything I had gotten so used to: the constant arguments, the frequent visitors, the new residents, the people already living there everything. Everyone.
But, God, why, why didnt we try to stop this? We could have completely changed the future, had a happily ever after. Why didnt we try to hold this all up? Why didnt we try to tape it back together, resew the torn seams, repair the complex puzzle that was the house? The answer was simple; no one knew how to. And even if they did, no one could.
Although I constantly reminded myself that it, the basic collapse of the house, was going to happen eventually and that I
Imaginary Waltz - OneIts not even time to wake up, and I find myself laying wide awake, staring at the ceiling above me and watching as the fan moves in slow, almost mesmerizing circles. Im not tired, at least, I dont feel as though I am, but something in the back of my mind is telling me, pleading me to go back to sleep. Telling me that Im not supposed to be here, not supposed to see this and that oh God, oh God what am I going to do?Imaginary Waltz - One6 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
I groan and reach for a pillow as the voice inside my head grows louder and louder and talks more and more and more until I realize something.
Who is I? What a stupid question. I is me.
Yet my surroundings beg to differ.

Lael was, like it always was, cloudy that day save for a few rays of sun peeking through the clouds and illuminating certain sections of the area. One particular section was a building by the name of Syntyche, located in the center of Lael. With the white exterior and the many windows around it, the sun made the place practically glow.
Even the interior was brightly lit, but not from the sun, of course. The sun never reached the inside of Syntyche as the windows blocked most sunlight and prevented any random civilian from looking in. Because of this, no one outside of Syntyche knew what Cainan might have been planning.
And that's the way it's supposed to be.
Matthew, or General Marr as most knew him, sat at the end of a long stainless steel table in a large room, grinning at such thoughts as a blonde woman by the name of Angel Bradwell spoke. He caught a few words she said such as
FOR HEX: Secret Santa, yo B3The scene is a living room cluttered with a rainbow of wrapping paper. Amongst the clutter, the viewer can see bits and pieces of strips of tape, half-eaten cookies, and empty glasses among other various things. In the far left corner of the camera is a Christmas tree, brightly lit and just as colorful as the wrapping paper surrounding it. The camera slowly pans to the right and the viewer can now see a couch surrounded by a group of people, some sitting on the floor and others sitting on the couch, the recliner, or chairs pulled from the kitchen table.FOR HEX: Secret Santa, yo B35 years ago in Humor More Like This
Everyone is talking and laughing amongst themselves, holding their various Christmas presents and showing them off to the others. When a blonde boy enters the scene carrying a large book, everyone quiets down, watching him curiously as to see what his next move will be. He barks at a young girl to "move out of my seat!" and replaces the poor girl as soon as she hops out of the chair.
"Heeey everyone," he greets the group, rest
Theory of a Revolution - 1The country was not always known as Gamaliel, the "recompense of God." Its former name was the United States, the eastern half of it, at least. The capital of Gamaliel, located on the northern coast, was named Bethel, or the "house of God." It was the largest city in the country, frigid during the winter and scorching during the summer. It, too, used to have another name, but the residents cared not to remember; some wanted to forget about the dark days before Cainan and the glorious people behind it ruled while most tried to push aside the painful memories of its better days before Cainan and its monsters took over.Theory of a Revolution - 15 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The city of Bethel had two main sections to it: Lael and Belral. When a person passed the unoccupied beach and walked through the "gray gate" into the large city, the first section they would enter was Lael, a highly modern city filled with restaurants, clubs, schools, houses, and other things found in a regular city. When the person was escorted through Lael by one of the
