I decided to make make a few original bento items tonight. I really enjoyed it. Japanese bento is still the best bento. It contains:

Top Layer:
2 Onigiri with Marumiya Shiso no Kaori Furikake and Toasted Nori
Strawberries

Bottom Layer:
Blackberries
3 Mini Fruit Candies
Fried Honey Squash
Japanese Potato Salad
Chicken Karaage

I take two full bento to classes two days a week. This was my second bento for the week. It contains:

Top Layer:
Sushi Rice with Black Goma
Six Fried Shrimp
A Hard Boiled Egg in the Shape of A Star*

Bottom Layer:
Mandarin Orange Slices
Two Apple Slices
Baby Carrots
Grape Tomatoes
Broiled Asparagus with Salt and Pepper

Extra:
Piggy Soy Sauce Bottle (for Egg)
Bear Dip Cup with Ketchup
Piggy Dip Cup with Ranch

*My friend somehow came to own a heart and star hard boiled egg shapes and had no real use for them. When she found out I make bento and could actually utilize them she was more than happy to give them to me and get them off her hands. Needless to say I'm quite happy with them. This is the first time I've used them and I think it turned out nicely!

I realized it's been a while since I updated with a normal bento. So here is today's lunch.

Top Layer:
Dragon Roll Sushi (Mother bought for me from our local grocery store)

Bottom Layer:
Cherry Soy Sauce Bottle (one of the new ones I got)
Cheese on A Toothpick
Cherry Tomato
Carrots
Clementine Slices
Containers (Gari and Wasabi)

Please enjoy. I don't think they'll look too good since they had to be squished down, but I'm sure they'll taste just fine >w<

This is the bento I made for my first day of my Second Year of College. I did something a little special to make my day be a little nicer. This bento Contains:

Two Fried Shrimp Sushi Fishies
Mini Strawberry Jello
Soy Sauce Piggy for Fishies
Bear Container with Ranch for Dipping

Bottom Layer:
Carrots and Cucumber Strips
Miso Marinated Asparagus
Gouda w/Mediterranean Spices on Tooth Pick
Home Made Orange Cranberry Walnut Tea Cake
Little Fork Pick and Spoon

I'm sorry I haven't been very active in the bento world lately, but that doesn't mean I'm not making them still. I've just been busy with my new job, and all the mess they're putting me through, so I don't have as much time to take photos of them and make them look pretty. I did get this one in though! This will be my lunch for my work day. It contains:

Top Tier:
Japanese Potato Salad
Shiitake Mushroom Risotto Cakes
Green Onion

Bottom Tier:
Steamed Asparagus
Cherry Tomatoes
Karaage Chicken
Honeydew Melon

Sauce:
Ketchup (for risotto cakes)

Last night my mother and I made sushi for dinner, we had some ingredients left over so I decided to make some for lunch today. I am also showing off the new thermos I got! I've wanted one for a while, it's an authentic chinese style one too and even comes with a tea leaf strainer. Anyway this bento contains:

Top Layer:
3 Ebi Nigiri
2 Kani Nigiri

Bottom Layer:
Wasabi Peas
Piggy Container with Masago and Mini Spoon
Cucumber Sticks
Gari
Azuki Mochi

This was my lunch today! I wanted to try something that was not my normal style bento. So I tried out a few new things. It contains:

Top Layer:
Takoyaki! It is topped with home made Tonkatsu Sauce, Chives, and Mayo (Takoyaki is Fried Octopus Balls. It is made out of boiled Octopus tentacle and other ingredients. *Tip for frozen Takoyaki: Put them under the broiler for 3-5 minutes after warming up, it helps to give a crispy crunch to the outside while keeping the inside warm and gooey)

Bottom Layer:
Blanched Spinach with Shoyu (Soy Sauce), Sesame Oil and Seeds.
Hard Boiled Quail Eggs
Green Apple Bunny
Japanese Style Potato Salad (I hate American Potato salad so I was skeptical about this version, but it is DELICIOUS!)

This is a very special bento because the box was given to me by the lovely :icondrawtaru:! It arrived today and I had to make a yummy bento! It contains:

Rice with Chives and Sesame Seeds
Calamari
Salad with Miso Dressing
Lemon Yogurt and Chocolate Cookies
Mirin, Sesame Oil, Shoyu, Lemon Dipping Sauce
