Finally caving in and posting a couple photos of my updated Plaster Splicer cosplay. Even though they are a little bit grainy, I still like the photo.
Wore this at DragonCon and it was very well received!

Only thing that is really updated is the mask and the hooks (and more globbed on gesso and paint!)

The mask is made with papercraft and the hooks are made of cardboard and leather, all made by me.

I finally beat Bioshock a few weeks ago and like many people who’ve played the game, I was intrigued with the Fort Frolic psychopath, Sander Cohen. Started painting him last night and finished today.

EDIT The updated version:

Details on the Bioshock 2 Big Sister Helmet.

Story was, I didn't really intend to make this costume until I came across an old-school world globe I found in the garbage of a school. :ninja: And from then on, the ideas kept flowing...

It does have breathing holes, various punctures / "bullet holes" punctured into the helmet, which are moreorless visible to the eye. XD

Helmet: World globe used as a base, spray painted the base, painted over it using acrylic paints and various markers, and then painted PVA/Wood glue over it to protect the surface (WITH FISHIES)
Lense: Lid of a round lunch container glued onto the helmet (using silicone), painted over it with acrylics and markers, bike light glued onto the back of the lense (lights up), with bolts glued onto the rims
Lenses: Bigger lense on top of the helmet is made from some "beer" goggles with a flashing light in the centre, the smaller lenses are hose connectors painted over and glued on (one of them has a goggle lense glued onto it and painted over with nail polish)

Time it took to complete: Uhhhh...5-7 months...? Would've been less time if I had all the pieces I needed all at once. XD

This was taken at ACen 2011 by Chase Wirth of Wirth Fotos. He took a few of me though I kept the same pose in the other photos. It was nice meeting him.

I love Toasty's dialogue, almost more than Baby Jane's.

This was taken at a local convention down here in Fayetteville, NC. Libraricon 2011. Taken at a little park located right behind the library.

Anyway, this is my baby sister, Scotti, cosplaying as a Little Sister from the Bioshock games.
Her outfit (hair bow included) was hand-made with varying materials from some friends of ours. The Big Daddy plush and Eve Hypo were bought from Think Geek.
(she had to wear sandals, as there's all kinds o' nastiness on the grounds of ol' Fayetteville. Broken glass EVERYWHERE.)

Other than my baby sister, I've yet to see anyone younger than a teenager cosplaying as a Little Sister. It amps up the cute (and creepy) factor when a little girl can quote a Little Sister line from the game, I think.

Thanks for viewing.
