Full House Will Return
Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of a Full House Reboot. Rumors have been circulating about a possible return for the series for some time now, but last night the news that Netflix had ordered a new season of the show was confirmed by Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) on Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel. In case you either lived under a rock in the 90s or merely hadn’t been born yet, Full House

3. The comics are too dark to tell whats going on. Whether because this persons working screen is too dark, or because they think itll add to their comics feel of dark mystery, I cant say.
4. Inconsistent narration. Figure it the freak out before you start investing your time! Research POV in comics and why theyre important. I hate it when one page reads in First Person and then switches
How to Improve your Drawings Outside of DrawingCommunity WeekHow to Improve your Drawings Outside of Drawing3 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
If you've ever read articles about how to improve your art, you're sure to have heard one thing over and over - practice, practice, practice! While this is most definitely correct and undeniably crucial, I find that a big part of my improvement actually comes from the things I do outside of drawing.
What are these "things", you say?
First off, before you try to improve your art, you need to...
Have the right mindset
Understand and acknowledge these points:
Improvement is hard work. You will need to put in a lot of effort to achieve good results.
Improvement takes time - and it comes in small steps. You cannot fly to excellence in a week - nor a month.
There will always be people better than you and you will inevitably fail once in a while. Don't dwell on this - instead, learn as much as you can from it.
You will need to take advice with an open mind. Learn from critiques and do not be offended if they are harsh - the more mistakes people point out
Advice for Commissioned ArtistsSince I started taking commissions, I've gotten a fair amount of notes and emails asking for advice on how to get into the commission world. I have typed up some information below for artists to consider if they are interested in taking on commissions.Advice for Commissioned Artists4 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you are unsure on how much to charge for commissions, then I highly advise you take a look at other artists who are of equal skill to you and see what their commission prices are set at. Get a few examples and take the average for the safest bet. After setting your prices, ask a few friends to look your numbers over and see if they seem reasonable. If not, ask for advice on what would be more appropriate.
*** Note: It's also important to note the currency differences for other countries.
2.) Waiting Lists
Don't do them. At least, I highly advice you don't. Your waiting list could stretch over months and often times a commissioner would rather c
some advice to artists that take commissions-okay so i don't know it kind of concerns me that a lot of people both here, da, wzl, fa, etc don't really know?? like?? basic artist etiquette... people aren't perfect but i see people do things you shouldn't be doing on a daily basis.some advice to artists that take commissions-1 year ago in Personal More Like This
doing these things is a surefire way to lose business- doing them repeatedly pretty much guarantees it after a while. so here's just some.. advice? i guess?
1. DON'T. SPEND. YOUR CUSTOMERS. MONEY.
seriously, if you ask for payment up front? your customers are trusting you to not steal from them (yes, you ARE stealing from them) by paying you up front and the moment you spend that money and can't give it back to them, you break that trust and it deters people from commissioning you in the future. and for me, oopsies doesn't cut it, it shows you aren't responsible enough, or have enough willpower to resist buying yourself something tempting- it definitely shows a lack of professionalism which is one thing a lot of commissioners seek from artists, be
Top 20 Most Annoying Comic Characters on DA1. The main character who doesnt appear or isnt defined in the first five pages. And I mean at all. I mean like in the first 20 pages you meet 8 characters and have no idea whose court youre supposed to be in (except that guy with the fire behind him is probably the bad guy.) Seriously, folks, a protagonist is where you should start. Not the world, not the ebul threatening the good guys, not a massive expo-dump about how the world works. A hero. Give us a hero and have him do something interesting and nice in the first five pages, and I swear to cow you will have a stronger beginning to your story than 90% of the comics here on DA.Top 20 Most Annoying Comic Characters on DA4 years ago in Personal More Like This

*Long post, read 'till the end to get all the info.
The 2014 Halloween Cutie Pie and her bunch of furry friends arrived just in time to offcially launched our Halloween coloring contest.
As you will see, this year, I went back to the classic roots of the Cutie Pies and I choosed to go with lots of cuteness and sweetness. I felt it deserved it since most of our late Halloween contests focused on sexy 'n dark, with a bit of a little creepiness... But don't worry, I'll find another reason to draw one dark Cutie Pie or two soon enough!
I hope you'll enjoy her!

Emma Watson (AKA Hermione from Harry Potter) is now calling herself a feminist according to this article---> http://www.rappler.com/world/regions/us-canada/69726-emma-watson-gender-equality?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=referral The article addresses that Emma says gender equality should include men, but in the process of her speech she made to the UN like any feminists she is asking men to put women problems before their's even though we know damn well men's problems need to be fixed and women have enough rights especially in America. So in short like any feminist she is still insisting women are victims even though they really are not and I happen to be of them. Once again equality according to feminists is putting women first even though we do have enough rights,
How to have a popular artist friendSteps:How to have a popular artist friend3 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
1. Tell your friend who draws: "Let's become great artists together!"
2. Practice art together

And now you've got a popular artist friend!
I've seen many advice on getting an art friend, but the above advice is how people do this. I believe mine is very accurate.
5 Pieces of Critique You Should Always Disregard1. "I have a problem with your premise." This is the red flag to end all red flags. I don't care how flimsy the premise is. Every idea has the potential to be a good story. Execution is something else entirely, but if somebody doesn't like your idea: don't listen to them. What they're basically saying is "I am not an Ideal Reader, therefore not your target audience, therefore I am not the right person to critiquing your work." I hate, hate, hate people who think you should be writing for broader audiences than your story is capable of reaching. If you're writing romance, you're writing romance for romance readers. You're not trying to reach hard science fiction readers. Very few people even know what makes a breakout mainstream novel that has high market appeal. If they did, every single book ever written would be Harry Potter. It just doesn't happen. And for somebody to ask you to make that happen is ridiculous and unfair. For the most part, writers are writ5 Pieces of Critique You Should Always Disregard2 years ago in Personal More Like This

I should point out that plot is also called storyline; to paraphrase the definition from Dictionary.com: plot is the plan, scheme, or main story of a dramatic work. Plan and scheme, geddit? Plot is the scheme of your characters to overcome their obstacles, whether it go wrong or right. Since action reveals character, the entire chain of actions becomes plot, preferably with quite a bit of suspense and a twist or two. Also, if you havent heard of the guy before, Joseph Campbell and freaking Hero With a Thousand Faces. The man was a god. Breathe in his essence, and ye shall know plot.

Advice on CommissionsBecause I have seen too many people make this mistake lately. I need to address something.Advice on Commissions1 year ago in Personal More Like This
When you first start having people pay for your art. (Take on "Commissions") Whether it be in person, on DA, Facebook, WHATEVER.
Never, never, NEVER draw them art BEFORE you receive payment.
I know what you're thinking:
"But I KNOW this person! They'll pay me!"
"I was just so excited to draw them ____! Because I wanted to impress them/make them smile!"
"They're just on hard times right now, but they'll pay as soon as they can!"
No they won't.
Because a lot of these people do NOT understand the value of art. Let's face it-- when compared to everything else that needs to be purchased in life, art comes last.
They already received their art. Why would they pay for something they already got?
Something that makes people think this way are the ways that artists represent themselves.
By not being professional and confident about selling your art, you will find that people, (ESPECIALLY peopl
5 Tips on POVIve gotten a couple of questions that relate to POV lately, so I thought Id sling up 5 tips on it (Point of View.) Narrative mode, or Point of View, is the vantage point by which an author exposes his plot to the audience. Got that? Its how your plot is given over to the reader. So thats your golden rule of POV: if the POV isnt moving the plot along in some way, shape, or form, then dont use it. Youre wasting your time and your readers.5 Tips on POV5 years ago in Personal More Like This
I wont really touch on the POV types, since Google is your friend, but I will say that I write in third person limited, so this little entry is going to focus mostly on that. That means that I go into the thought and feelings of a single character in a given scene, and its what I have the most experience in. A lot of people are attracted to First Person (it uses I all the time), which is good to start writi

DeviantArt is a website that hosts millions of works published with broad search criteria, covering hundreds and thousands of results... Which can be very overwhelming! Price of the Art on dAI would like to move a very specific thread.Price of the Art on dA5 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's about the price of art and commissions. Because there are a lot of questions; what decides for the price of art? Why it is worthy? And why do we buy commissions?
Some is already written here: http://goldenwolf.deviantart.com/journal/26548172/#comments
I've met with many people who were complaining about the price of art, especially why it is expensive and it doesnt deserve. Even some person did a drama just because prices of my art are *too* expensive. And I'm not alone, I've saw on some proffessional artists who are on dA as well.
I noticed the price of art on deviantART is very low.
Like many people complains that full colored picture plus you get original for 50-70$ is too much. I did some research and counted how much artists originally earn (out of dA)- even a simple artist earns 5 times more than great artists on dA which I know.
Do you know on Eurofurence just only PRINT can be sold there for 100-500 euros?

Pro Yaoi, anyone? :)Pro Yaoi, anyone? :)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I often see people whine about rabid yaoi/yuri fans. But did you know that rabid het fangirls exist, too? They are a real nuisance if you ask me as they actually seem to believe that only their opinion is the only right opinion. They constantly whine about shounen ai and why it has ruined their fandom or their favourite characters. Hey guys! Instead of complaining you could become active and support your own fandom! It's your choice. Either sit there and whine or do something that others can enjoy.
"But nobody cares about hetero pairs" isn't an excuse to bash yaoi/yuri couples or the fans. Unfortunately I often see het fans insulting the whole genre and making a big fuss why their favourite characters can't be gay. I am not saying that all het fans act like that but there are a lot of people who spread the anti-yaoi mentality. Don't they realize that this behaviour won't help them? If they want to see het couple
Say NO to the Internet PricesI've been observing a situation of the artist who courageously set up their prices on very decent prices (in meaning: no more 50 bucks full color image of yer characters! but almost 200$ one for her really nice character painting) where I felt so proud of her for being brave to set up the real price of the art. But I was also a witness of bunch of complaining people (mostly I noticed they were young) screaming that her art is not worth for shitload bucks.Say NO to the Internet Prices4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I really wanted to slap faces of these people.
Really, who decide that someone's art is worth that price?
You do not decide how much wort is my art - as my work.
You do not know how much effort I've put into a piece, countless hours, stress, time, including also a years of practice and studies, frustration as well personal finances into the art materials.
Do you think my art is a fun hobby?
You do not decide if my art is a form of fun and what are real feelings with the artist while working on artwork as part of paid job.

Days of Decadence #1Hello everyone, hope you're doing all ok. Today we start a weekly blog Days of Decadence. We will focus on the golden days of customization, that is until cca 2009. The time when there was so much good stuff going on DA and other communities, that one could barely hold to one setup for a longer period of time. We will present some of the most influential setups and suites ever, but also try to dig deeper into the system and present screenshots that were, at the time, overshadowed, yet they still hold strong visual appeal and style to this day.
