Matterhorn - 01

Back from the Switzerland. The Matterhorn was amazing though the weather wasn't. On day 2 we were surprised by snow and fog which lasted until the morning of day 5. I wouldn't have minded the -12°C in our tents if only the fog was a little less annoying. At least I know the area now and I might return next year for another try.
This shot was taken on the first day when the sun was stronger than the clouds and the cold. More images will come in the run of November as I still have some fall tours to do.

Four wonderful peaks of the Styrian "Gesäuse". From left to right - Admonter Reichenstein, Sparafeld, Kalbling and Riffel. I've already been on the middle two and will add the left one this summer.

It wasn't really easy to get an interesting foreground from where we were standing that morning, but I liked the curve in here anyway.

The Hidden Place

Fellow photographer Didl Gloger found this hidden place. It was tricky to get down there as it was rainy and slippery. I hope it was the effort.

BTW ... thanks to all the comments on the DD of today. There are too much comments to answer them all.

Frosty Morning at the Riffelsee

That last morning at the Riffelsee was very cold. Getting out of the tent and "slipping" into my frozen shoes wasn't the biggest fun. On top of that my Phottix batteries didn't seem to like the low temperatures either. So this is one of the very few shots from this morning.
