Tartania Chapter 1Chapter 1
I pulled my hood over my snowy hair and made sure to put my dagger down my knee-high boots. I left my nurse a note to cover for me before I ran down the stairs that led to the palace courtyard.
Gypsy was already waiting for me, her golden feathers glistening in the sunrise. Without saying a word, I climbed gently onto her high back and she leapt into the air, her elegant wings taking us towering above the city.
Every morning, for the past seven years, I had ridden my Griffin to Luniba's Waterfall. Father had beaten me at first when he found out, but then I stopped eating and stared blankly out my window and he allowed me to go again, as long as only he, my nurse and I knew about it; he worried that the strange foreigners would take me if they knew.
The foreigners were still camped outside our gates, not as many as before, but still more than our city could muster in an emergency. Even though we had been a

Loved by Darkness,
Neither shall be thy doom.
But a potion of two,
Of ice and of fire,
Of wind and of earth,
Thy spirit shall shatter,
The world goes to gloom.
Born of two,
Not great, not small,
A truth we can seek;

Long dark hair fell down her back in waves. Bright pink manicure nails twitched with the fingers that moved them. Dark red lipstick smearing on teeth as the lip was being bitten. White lace swaying ever so slightly in the wind from the opened window. There sat, the most beautiful woman on this day, fore she was the bride. But why wasn't our bride happy? Today was her day!
She looked at herself in the mirror, worry shining in her eyes. Slowly she sighed and looked at her fidgeting hands.
"What was I thinking?" She whispered to herself nervously. "I can't be married! What am I going to

her wrists are bound to the wooden frame,
i watch every movement,
i hear every breath,
as her body writhes in ecstasy,
she's encased in this moment,
her naked skin seems to melt into the sheets,
corrupted by sensation,
no longer does she fear the punishment for the sin,
moving closer to enticing lips she beckons me,
to join her lustful embrace,
i answer her call,
looking into her eyes,
i see the goddess staring back at me,
she demands i return her creation,
she promises me love like no other,
i pause only for a moment as she pulls me into the warmth,
i respond with only cold steel,
she lies there lifeless no longer breathing,
my goddess smiles to me as she takes my hand,
Aphrodite has been appeased

The one who's always standing on the side with a smile,
The one who always listens and never judges,
The one who's always ready to give a helping hand sometimes even if it's not within their means,
That Friend who helps everyone stand up after they've fallen,
The one who always follows,
The one who always mediates among the rest of the group,
That Friend who knows everyone's secrets but doesn't tell a soul.
The one who slowly faded from your life.
That Friend who got tired of standing on the side and forgot how to smile,
The one who never complained about their life no matter how bad it got,
The one who grew tired of their advice being sought but never used,
That Friend who shouldered everyone's tears without having someone to lean back on,
The one who wanted to take the lead,
The one who became fed up with solving everyone's problems,
That Friend who still hasn't spilled a single secret.
The one who's no longer in your life.

A sister is your guardian angel if she's older,
and your constant shadow if she's younger.
She's your best friend in all your endeavours.
Your confidant, protector of your heart,
and secret keeper. A sister can also be
your enemy; you best adversary at times
She keeps all of your secrets, even the tough
ones. She's the one to tell you constantly
how pretty you are, partly because you look
similar in some ways. Your sister is the one to call when that one
person talks to you; especially when they decide to break your heart.
Also she's the first one vowing to beat them up
if they break your heart.
Your sister is your mother at a younger age.
Not only is she your savior
shall anything happen to you, she also knows
what to do to make you feel better and wipe
away the tears. A sister is your only friend
when all others have walked out, especially
when you need a friend the most.
She knows what makes you laugh, cry, and
most times is the one to make you laugh
and cry. She gi

Crystalline notes of clean harmony,
Clashing storms of close chords,
The tender tug on a string,
The rushing current of voices like bells,
Music to my ears.
My only god
Whose reign is perfect.
My truest love
Betrays me not.
Loves me so,
When I do it less than justice,
I am forgiven.
Music will always be music.
Beautiful, pure, unbroken.

That day, that was the start of everything.
I was confused, sad and lonely.
I couldn't take one more step.
I just wanted someone to hold me.
But no one seemed to care.
You were the one to catch me before I fell.
You didn't know me, but you held me tighter.
My soul was crying and you were the one to hear.
You held my hand through the dark road.
You helped me regain trust in more than me.
What did I do to deserve your kindness?
During that time you cared for me,
I always thought dearly of you.
When I was hurt or lost,
You were always the one to find me right away.
Now that I am standing on my own two feet,
I still wish you were with me every day.
I love you so much that it makes me lose my words.
I can still feel the warmth of your heart,
The warmth that rescued me when I was falling apart;
Thanks to you my heart was reborn.
Please hold me tighter, and don't let me go.
Because you're my family, you belong in my heart.

Your armour gleaming shiny and bright,
You were a hero with courageous fire,
And I always wanted to be your squire.
Older now, your armour starts to rust,
Keep moving, you know you must!
I don't have the words to tell you,
You're my hero, yes it's true.
to leave now seems cruel fate,
to which you barely show your hate,
but your still my hero, MY brother
so I never trade you for another.
2011 Chapter OneMy friend Kris was hell bent on going out his way. He didn't care if it was alcohol or smoking or jumping off the Flannery bridge. He said if push came to shove, he'd invest in a .41 Smith and Wesson Magnum and be classy about it, at least. Rather that than the zombies. Or the aliens. Or the war machine. We'd more or less established that it wasn't any of those things. I don't know exactly what it was-- I was a register jockey, not a rocket scientist-- but it was this or that sort of natural-esque cause. In layman's terms, Earth was just pissed at us. If I had to deal with seven billion humans crawling in my every pore I'd be ready to self-destruct, too. But Kris was mad about not having a choice.2011 Chapter One3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Shining bright as a candle’s flame
I can see her body slowly nearing my own
The space between us closing out
I can smell her hair
A mix of peaches and cherries
I can hear her voice
The most seductive whisper as she leans in closer
Telling me that I’m what she wants
I hear her gasp
As her lips
Press themselves against mine
I hear her moan
And watch her eyelids flutter –
She seems so in love.
What is love
I still find myself wondering…
As her eyes stare through me
I stare at the ground
When her body leans towards mine
I lean away
While she speaks so softly to me
I tune out her voice
When her lips touch mine
I feel no emotion
And while her eyes close
Mine remain open.
What is love
That’s the question that will haunt me to my grave.
When you can live just fine…resisting?
