FAQ: A Journal of Impossible ThingsI keep getting the same questions from both Doctor Who fans and those who have no idea what's going on, so I thought I'd write a journal entry about this project. It's a bit silly to write a separate FAQ section for this, but I really need a place to link back to whenever I'm asked something about this series of drawings.FAQ: A Journal of Impossible Things4 years ago in Personal More Like This
WHAT'S A JOURNAL OF IMPOSSIBLE THINGS?
It's a dream journal featured in the Doctor Who episodes Human Nature (3x08) and The Family of Blood (3x09). In this two-parter, the Doctor rewrote his biology and became human in order to hide from the Family of Blood. The Doctor's human persona John Smith kept a journal where he wrote down and drew things he saw in his dreams, which were actually memories of his adventures as the Doctor.
The original prop journal was created by artist Kellyanne Walker and the text was provided by Paul Cornell.
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
My aim is to draw my own version of the Journal. I intend to draw all

The following is my Review.
First of all I would like to say the episode was well done and addressed all the questions about Regeneration that I had. The Doctor sums it up very nicely.
Doctor: "12 regenerations. 13 silly doctors. "
Clara: " but you are number 11.
Doctor: "Are we forgetting Captain Grumpy? Hah? I didn't call myself the Doctor during the Time War, but it was still a regeneration."
Clara: "Okay, so you're number twelve."
Eleventh Doctor: "Well, number ten once regenerated and kept the same face. I had vanity issues at the time.
(I personally don't blame him for not wanting to change his form XD)
Doctor: "Twelve regenerations, Clara. I can't ever do it again. This is where I end up. T

That's the trouble with regeneration. You quite never know what you're going to get.

There's always something to look at if you open your eyes!
For some people, small, beautiful events are what life is all about!

Peanut Butter Cream RecipeIf you guys haven't caught on by now there's certain journal skins I use for certain themed journals.Peanut Butter Cream Recipe2 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is the cooking journal skin.
Now! Onto the recipe!
Technically it's peanut butter buttercream, but it doesn't necessarily have the exact same consistancy as buttercream frosting.
This was originally a filling for devil's food cupcakes with chocolate ganache frosting, but I don't have a picture of the cupcakes for you ._.;; Plus this stuff is great on it's own.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
1 cup creamy peanut butter (I bet you could use chunky, but it'd be a lot less consistant)
1 1/4 cups fine confectioner's sugar.
What to do:
Beat the butter and peanut butter at medium speed in a mixing bowl until blended. Reduce speed to low and gradually beat in the confectioners' sugar. Increase speed to high and beat for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
Then just let it sit for a minute and place it in a container or something, unless

I want to be a companion.
In your TARDIS, I see you fly,
Higher and higher into the sky.
Higher than I've ever been,
If only I could see, what you've seen.
I wish you'd come and find me,
To let me keep you company.
We'd go on adventures through time and space,
I'd really love to to leave this place.
There's only so much here that I can do,
I want to go on an adventure with you.
To leave the Earth and go to other places,
And see lots and lots of different faces.
An awful lot of running away from Daleks,
Trying not to blink at Weeping Angels,
Avoiding getting deleted by Cybermen,
I'll hop in to the TARDIS and then it all happens again!
I want to be a companion!
Doing all those things seems like fun.
He holds his hand out and it's all agreed,
I'll help The Doctor in times of need.
I grab his hand and we're off on our way,
Onward to different planets to save the day!

GIVE A LLAMA GET A LLAMA!GIVE A LLAMA GET A LLAMA!4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
The idea of this is to start a Give-A-Llama Get-A-Llama going on! Read on for more!
First off make sure to This Article (To the left) so that others can read it!
Now, the idea of this is to send a little gift to everyone you know, and then go from there!
1. To start off go to someones page who is included in this! (For example me! TimberClipse )
2. On their page give them a llama!
3. Then on the user's page find someone else who they link to (Either on a list if they are part of this, or from a link or deviation or anything) and click on it!
4. Then on this next persons page give them a llama!
5. Keep this going!
We promise this will both get you llamas and also allow you to share the LlamaLove!
If you really like this idea, make a box on your page with 3-5 names of friends who want llamas and post them for others to share with (See TimberClipse's page for details!)
If your not sure where to start try clicking on names in comments below,
Klaine Smut and KGTRFirst off, sorry that I didn't upload KGTR last week - in the end I couldn't finish it (I was too sick and the weekend I had friends and my grandma over) but I'll try to finish and upload it today tomorrow (because Leeminkyo distracted me from drawing. I love humans. Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there.
The universe hangs by such a delicate thread of points, it's useless to meddle with it. Unless, like me, you're a Time Lord. -8th
Sadly he's not our most beloved Doctor, the rest of his years after the 1996 movies in on comics and audio plays. But hey! there's still time to catch it up!
One more I did forgot to mention that he did stole clothes from the hospital like 3rd and 11th Doctor, some how 3rd ended up in one was after his forced regeneration.

I realized after posting the above journal that I forgot one very very important party aspect - the food! And we have plans for the food, too.
So. The consumables.

nOODles (this was my brilliant idea ). It'll be simple spaghetti, but I will get everybody to hold a ball, with spaghetti hanging out of their mouths, and we will take a group photo. They will include a tasty lava-sauce from a planet sixty million lightyears beyond the Medusa Cascade.

Doctor Who PartyMy friend Sam and I are planning a cool Doctor Who themed party.Doctor Who Party2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So far, our ideas include themed decorations, themed games, party favours, OST music, dressing up, and of course episode-watching!
For decorations, we have planned:
Papier mache Weeping Angels.
somehow making the house look like the interior of the TARDIS.
a mobile with dangling stetsons, fezzes, and bow ties.
For games, we have planned:
Doctor Who Jeopardy. We are probably going to categorise by series, and questions will get progressively harder as the point value goes up in each category.
Doctor Who "Trivial Pursuit." We will make up a set of cards (probably on the computer so that we save our hands the task of writing everything out) with questions about companions, incarnations, monsters, events, and so forth. It won't be proper Trivial Pursuit, but oh well. We will probably create a cardboard Game Board for it, and perhaps clay
Lemon Pancakes With Blueberry Syrup RecipeLemon Pancakes With Blueberry Syrup Recipe2 years ago in Personal More Like This
(And I realize this picture probably doesn't do them justice. Just try them)
From my Aunt Linda's cookbook, it's unmarked and doesn't have anything written on the cover, so I have no idea where she got it, but I found it months ago and JUST decided to make them.
1 pint fresh blueberries, stemmed and hulled(basically speaking, cut off the tops)
2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons fresh lemon zest, finely chopped
1/2 stick butter, cut into 10 equal slices
In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine the blueberries and corn syrup(or you could use a cup of sugar with 2 cups water). Bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes. Remove from the heat and with a hand potato masher, mash the berries. Keep warm.
In a small mixing bowl, sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt
Why do Dalek ears flash during speech? Why do Dalek ears flash during speech?2 weeks ago in Personal More Like This
So, we all know Dalek ears flash and light up whenever they talk, in sync with their speech patterns as they do so. But has anyone stopped to question why exactly they do so? What's the point of having things on the sides of your head light up? Why have it do that during speech? Isn't having something like that a waste of power? Is there any remote purpose to them?
I may just have that answer.
Now, I devised this theory sometime ago, as I was watching an interesting video of the Doctor Who theme played on musical Tesla coils.
It got me thinking, and after several hours, the thought hit me.
What if Dalek ears are like musical Tesla coils, emitting electricity in specific frequencies and intensities in order to mimic vocal patterns, so as to communicate?
It would explain certain aspects of the Daleks, such as the distorted nature of their voices, why their ears glow, and why they flash in sync with their speech.
Also, anyone remember the Special

Trouble is, he keeps replying to her pleas in French and she really can't convince this guy to budge. French might just be the key to this guy getting it.
