Hm, well it looks like ~Teloka couldn't submit her entry. Shame. I wanted to at least see one other person's take on my not-so-pure characters.
Already I've been getting ideas for the final round, though since I still don't know who I'm gonna fight, that part has yet to be written. The plot twists haven't ended yet either. Expect even more in this one.
I worked on a bit of the outtakes. Except I still don't have internet immediately available to me and forgot to back-up a couple voice clips while reformatting my old comp (such as wil's lines. Mind sending em to me again, Tino?) However, all of that is on hold. Because...

Still no retake from Edelweiss' voice actress. If she still can't give it to me, I may have to use the first take. Been making s'more progress. Even started lip synching. Almost forgot how fun that was. In the meantime, enjoy reading this behind the scenes info from my past rounds.
ROUND 0: New Management
-The voice heard in the very beginning is comedian Louis CK from his standup segment in his FK show "Louie"
-Right as I finished the rough draft, ~JerkDouglas informed me of the copyright music rules. Had I went with the original soundtrack, it woulda been from Panty&Stocking, F.E.A.R., Tekken 5, Modern Warfare 2 and Austrian Death Machine.
-The monkey plush's vision is a reference to the movie Predator.
ROUND 1: The Opening Gambit
-The original title woulda been a reference to a chess strategy mentioned in the MiB animated show. But I didn't know how to spell it, nor could I even confirm that it was a real tactic. I think it w

From my French, and law student, point of view I must also admitt that this laws, even if they are threatening as Hell, will probably never be fully applied, as the HADOPI and DADVSI laws in France.
But anyway I'm supporting the movement trying to keep this laws from being agreed and applied.

So I learned that we would have a nice clean looking apartment, but the catch is that we can't just act like we own the damn place. That means no messes, no hardcore partying, no modifications to the place, none of that. We're pretty much living in a sterile hotel room with no service. There will also be visits somewhat regularly from the execs. Perhaps the only private safe haven will be our own bedrooms.
Oh, and my oldest brother and his wife own two pet chinchillas that they can't bring to Hong Kong. No pets policy. Luckily, I think they found people to take care of em.
We're all gonna have to get used to living in a place that doesn't feel like home for years.

As a human being, imagination can sometimes be very hard to understand and to control. We say children have a fertile imagination compared to most adults. They learn, their brain is growing, taking form. But also because they tend to notice details we, adults, don't take the time to see anymore... feelings adults just try to forget and lock away.
When I was young, I had a lot of problems sleeping at night because of some kind of paranoia. Ok, to be honest, this little paranoia was not so special since there actually was mice running through my ceiling and biting the walls. Nothing to help a child calming down and have a good night of sleep. But these things happen to all children, you might remember it happening to you. Waking up screaming after a nightmare, hearing something, seeing something strange preventing you from sleeping afterward. Dad! Mom! But today, that's not what I wish to tell.
I was... 9 years old maybe. As I said, I tended to paranoid

I am sitting in a box.
It is 11:43pm. There are some fish bobbing about up near the ceiling. They are discussing Lev Vygotsky's Theory of Cognitive Development. They have been discussing for several years now, discussing and discussing and discussing, over and over again, they never shut up, not for one moment, just endless discussion, the same discussion again and again and again.
One day, they will be gone. One day, there will be silence, just a ceiling, no fish, no discussion, not even a whisper.
Where the fish will have gone, I cannot bring myself to say. I do not even particularly want to think about it, but I tell myself I must. Because only by thinking about where the fish will have gone will it exist for them to go there. Just like if I choose not to think about the fish, they will not be there, bobbing about up near the ceiling, but I cannot take that risk. I am the only hope they've got. Without me, they will be trapped in the darkness of non-existence, and whil

A little opinion...About the frontage thing... I think more than change the "popular" system, a new options set for the frontage are needed. This is not because I could be somewhat affected by the change, my pics keep appearing in FrontPage and the watchers are still following my work (and I thank you so much for that ) but because I saw a lot of people misplacing art and taking advantage of the new system, helping even more to create the odd idea of a popularity "goal/prize". I like the idea of the popular frontage because it works pretty much like a musical ranking and it was a tool to know public´s preferences: wich kind of concepts/ideas/colors/styles works better and like a test to know the effect of a specific work. Somewhat of democratic voice, that helps to know to the public a bit more.A little opinion...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Before you ask, NO, I don't think that the goal of an artist is to be popular and I don't think that "popular=better" I saw both as different parameters that sometimes goes hand by hand and sometimes runs

I am L. A. Zavala (aka, DiamonEyes) And I was was born a ghetto-ass town of Oxnard, California. A small area about an hour north Los Angeles. Growing up I wanted to try my hand in animation as an career, until I discovered I wasn't as "in love" with drawing as I thought I was. Photography was NOT my forte either, and in fact wouldn't even cross my mind until my Senior year in High School. My mentor responsible for getting me into photography was in fact my brother's best friend, who I still remain close friends with even up till today.
I've worked for around 17 years in photography and now have started getting into video/film editing. Photography IS in my blood and still my main love :iconkissingplz::iconkissinguplz:

My Advice on Art to Anyone InterestedFirst off I'd like to make it clear that I don't really consider myself an authority on anything in art (or really an authority on anything). I'm continuing to learn and the number of people better at it than me is staggering. My Advice on Art to Anyone Interested2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I have no degrees. With the exception of a few classes in highschool and college, I'm completely self-taught and my knowledge is gained from experience and observing and researching the methods of people that actually do art for a living.
That being said, I find that I talk to a lot of new and young artists on this site. And though again I'm certainly not the best, they usually seem to want to know what I know. And I'd like to help since I used to be in the same position. I got on DeviantART for the first time a little over five years ago. And OMG, it was like being surrounded by masters. I wanted to be just like all these artists I saw. And whether is was my determination or my big ego, I set out to do that and I'm still on that journey.
But that brings me to my

I should have all I need for Frank's voice, but Edelweiss's voice (~RickGetifus) has been delayed because of computer issues.
Also, there's one particular scene where I wanna use copyright music so bad...instead of this stupid yanni-like music I currently have. I need something as triumphant sounding as the pirates theme by Hans Zimmer, or Shadow of the Colossus shit, or the Skyrim dragonborn theme.
That is all on that matter. Hm..what else can I talk about? I guess upcoming games or something.

I was thinking of trying a new link system for SYAC. Basically when you click on the “read the next comic now” link, you would be taken to a short 5 second advertisement before moving on to the actual comic. If you have an adblocker, you probably wouldn’t even notice anything.
My question is... do you think this is a good idea? Many artists on YouTube get paid for adverts playing before their videos, and many filmmakers (like the AVGN) have advertisements play before their own content on their own websites. Why shouldn’t this same sort of system work for other artists? Would you be willing to sit through a 5 second advertisement before being able to view the new comics? Is this a bad idea? Will it piss off more users even if it mak

I haven't used the blog feature there in almost 2 years and since the new redesign all my old blogs were deleted anyway. This is what I would call an awkward movie. It has the big budget set pieces of an action movie, the sterile camera work of a romantic comedy, the colorfulness and style of a comic book adaptation, and the goofy acting and script of a parody. I can't tell if it wants to take itself seriously or make us laugh with it's "wit." I can't tell if it wants to have decent action, or just a bunch of quick cuts. It's very hard for me to pin down what this movie was trying to be.
There are moments when it seems like they're trying to copy The Princess Bride (one line in particular was lifted right from it), Indiana Jones (rivalry between colleagues over treasure where Indy always loses), The DaVinci Code (secret vaults and amazing machines), Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Kahn (submarine like battle in a nebula of clouds), Mr. and Mrs Smith (two competent secret agents who love each other), and Mission Impossible (tower heists and elaborate schemes). Unfortunately, it neve
