This was such a success last year that I'm doing it again for my 25th birthday!
Pick your favorite story from the list below and draw a scene or characters from it! I try to be diverse in my writing; Action, drama, science fiction, romance, humans, robots... There should be something in there for everybody. This year's pool has some old classics and some new favorites. Some characters have reference pictures already, but some have never been visually depicted before. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Some stories contain characters that belong to other people but feel free to draw them as well. You may enter as many times as you like.

TOON STORM EDITORIAL: WHAT HAPPENED TO THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE? (Adding pics in later)
Greetings everypeoples, welcome to Toon Storm: a little show that gives animation the praise it truly deserves. Toon Kritic's the name, toon's are the name of my game.
A long, long time ago I did my very first review on a movie called "Thomas and the Magic Railroad", a family movie based on the beloved model series: Thomas the Tank Engine. Ever since then, I became inspired to give my thoughts on pretty much anything I could find. That one review served as the model for Toon Storm and a few years later, Toon Storm's still kicking. (Longtime fans know of FlameAmigo619 and all the reviews I've done before hand, having made 25+ video reviews.)
I won't spend a lot of time on this but Thomas the Tank Engine had THE biggest effect on my life when I was growing up, as far back as I could remember thanks to my parents. Back then, I was not i

"Scars can come in handy. I have one myself above my left knee that is a perfect map of the London Underground."—Prof. Albus Dumbledore
Early life becomes an exploration of invisible parameters, circles beyond circles, as one pushes out to test the boundaries of safety. There is one’s bedroom, one’s home, neighborhood, school and town, state and nation. Early on, maps become important documents – declarations of being and rights and privileges. In the art world, throughout history, maps have been a constant measure of human progress, from the Phoenecians recording their trade routes over 2000 years ago, or pre-Columbian times in which map
Mid March!?When did it become the middle of march. This year is just zooming by! It really is... So far it's been pretty good though. Art wise I've been trying to better myself by practicing lots and doing studies on poses and anatomy. I have been in a bit of a funk lately on how I want my art to look (I'm sure we've all been there) but I think I'm finally shaking it off! What's important is we gotta keep drawing if we want to get anywheres.Mid March!?2 years ago in Personal More Like This

A Kingdom of My OwnCheck out the villain song for the upcoming Sofia the first special The Curse of Princess Ivy! Sung by Pitch Perfect's Anna Camp!A Kingdom of My Own6 months ago in Personal More Like This
Is it just me or is Princess Ivy similar to Tricia? I am even thinking of making her a potential rival to Tricia depending on whether or not Ivy reforms in the special.
Similarities between Ivy and Tricia
Both are princesses have sisters and magic. Both have a white streak in their hairs. Both were exiled. Though Tricia exiled herself along with Elsa to a mountain because of their ice powers in order to protect their sisters. Both are jealous of their sisters. Though it should be noted Tricia reformed her ways while it is currently unknown if Ivy will or not.

[Writing Stories, it's FRUSTRATING.]
Really, I may have read up on a ton of advice in the past but what's the use if I don't put it to practice?
In addition to that, I believe that you can learn a lot more from shared experiences, hence the reason for my previous post. At face value I am frustrated
and impatient - thinking that all the research and beating around the bush makes me go back to square one. It really makes me feel like I've wasted valuable free time.
But behind the mask I needed help and reassurance that all the effort I had put into crafting a story so far for 'Ashworth' was not a waste a time and because of your insight into your own experiences of creative writing and your own personal encouragement towards me it really helps.
I think what I will do is find something that c
Robin Williams Dead At Age 63Apparently, a lot of famous actors have died this year. Harold Ramis, Bob Hoskins, and Casey Kasem. And well... It pains me to give out this tragic news. But just now, famous movie actor Robin Williams has died. You may remember him for certain theatrical films such as Popeye (1980), Hook (1991), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), Flubber (1997), Father's Day (1997), and Bicentennial Man (1999). And he was also the voice of the genie from Aladdin. I remember all those films quite well to this day. But I remember Popeye, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, and Flubber most fondly. And well, it's such a tragedy that such a fate was bestowed upon this man, for he was one of the greatest movie actors that ever lived. His death was so sudden and unexpected, that friends, family, and even fans, are in a great deal of pain at this moment. Williams was found unconscious in his home in unincorporated Tiburon, California, at around 11:55 a.m. PDT on August 11, 2014, and was pronounced dead atRobin Williams Dead At Age 638 months ago in Personal More Like This
Rules being a graphic designer- If you want to create your own firm NEVER USE your name (it's to show that you can sell betting solely on using your artist name, it was that good in the past, but it's used for haute couture or perfumes).*Rules being a graphic designer1 year ago in Personal More Like This
- follow the trend... but don't follow the trend... Don't do what everything is doing, good artist make good stuff but can make shit, If you copy, you make a copy of a shit, remember that ! Great name always sell because THEY ARE GREAT ALREADY !!!!
- Diversify what you do, try to explore new horizon.
- Be simple, people are not hyper clever, if they want to laugh, they laugh, if they have to think what you just wrote before laughing, you'll fail.
- IF you copy (almost everything is created already seriously) change it... I mean do something original !
- when you do a website, try on other screen (because omg I don't see the logo of your website on my phone or it's effing slow on my device).
- Think being humble, cool you did something superb that must be seen on a 40 inches screen

A poetic summary of why we love Star TrekOkay, so someone recently asked me, "What exactly is so great about this Star Trek thing?" This is what I answered.A poetic summary of why we love Star Trek3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Space. The Final Frontier.
"Star Trek are stories about philanthropy and friendship, about honor and duty, about doing the right thing in the face of adversity, how to do this and still keep your humaneness and qualities, how to overcome darkness without becoming darkness yourself, and how to stay human amidst machines.
It is about multifaceted, complex characters that are going through their own development while their personality grows and unfolds as they work with each other. You can identify with these characters, you suffer with them and you laugh with them.
Their stories are told in thrilling, imaginative, original and powerful episodes full of wit, logic and complexity, sometimes breathtaking, sometimes funny. Strange worlds and galaxies represent different philosophies, peaceful aliens, belligerent barbarians, lifeforms that don't know the concept of morality and

How Not To Write Feminist Fiction or CharactersA word of advice to any of you in my audience who fancies writing their own fiction. If you want to write three dimensional female characters, if you want to write a gender-equal story, bear this in mind. The key to writing feminist characters is unbelievably simple, despite all the fuss and humdrum. In the end, it's just simple recognition of a basic truth of human existence. Humans are varied. Regardless of gender, or in spite of gender, human beings can come in unique and amazing packages, from jock girls who are sensitive poets to crossdressing dudes who enjoy football and shooting the hell out of anything that moves with More Dakka! Variety is the spice of life and humanity as a whole is proof of concept. How Not To Write Feminist Fiction or Characters3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's honestly that simple.
Maybe it's easier said than done, I grant you. I've seen writers with the best intentions fall into some of the same pitfalls and tropes of yesteryear without a shred of irony. Back in my fanfiction days, I knew a guy who claimed to have utmost r

5 Comic Book Truths (that I don't think are true)There are lots of tips, chestnuts, and other pieces of advice that I've heard over the years--tidbits of wisdom passed on from one generation to the next, from professional to professor to prospective student. Some of them are drawing tips, some of them are tricks to dealing with publishers, and some are general guidelines on how to survive in comics. Most of them are useful and true and will stand the test of time, but a few of them have become hackneyed platitudes and have gone unquestioned for too long. Here are 5 that I'm questioning...5 Comic Book Truths (that I don't think are true)1 year ago in Personal More Like This
1. READERS WILL ONLY LOOK AT A PANEL FOR 5 SECONDS, SO DON'T SWEAT IT TOO MUCH.
I understand the intention of this bit of wisdom, and I mostly agree with it: drawing great interiors is important, but at the same time, you don't want to get bogged down with small details that most readers won't even notice.
But here's my concern with this: if you treat every panel like it's disposable, then you're less likely to make an impact with reader

Gay Pride (Rainbow - Gay, Gay Men, Lesbians, and sometimes the entire Queer community. The rainbow represents acceptance of all sexual orientations.)
Labrys Lesbian Pride (Purple with Labrys in inverted black triangle [different versions exist] - Lesbians, women, and feminism, and gynephilic people who identify as female. Labrys became a symbol of lesbians and feminists due to the popularity of a female empowerment publication called Labrys Magazine. In addition, the black triangle is a symbol of lesbians due to the fact that many lesbians were forced to wear it in concentration camps during the Holocaust under the idea that they were "asocial" and did not conform to heteronormativity).
Bisexual Pride (Pink, Purple, and Blue - Bisexuals and sometimes all multisexual/non-monosexual/multiple gender attracted people.)

Top 10 Ways To Be A Better Artist
Being a great artist has as much to do with your state of mind as it does your skill.
Robert Change explains...
10. Learn The Foundations
Buckle down and really learn the foundations (composition, perspective, anatomy and figure
work, color theory, values, lighting and so on).
You cannot really call yourself a competent artist until you have done so.
Ideally you you should not only learn them, but master them, and when you do, you're not
merely competent, but confident and author
