Sarek watched his son eat in fascinated wonder. Spock had only lately progressed to using jom'ir and took such meticulous care to spill not even one morsel that it set Sarek's teeth on edge.
Once again he waited, breath held, as Spock manipulated the tapered stick-like utensils with chubby fingers. Only when the shaky consignment reached its intended destination did a sigh of relief escape his control.
The sound roused his young Human wife from her total absorption in their child.
Her smile as she regarded him was dazzling, alive with affection and delight, "Nerve wracking isn't it?"
"Indeed, Amanda," he twitched up his lips in the way he had learned pleased her. "It is an exhausting process merely as an

"This will not do, Spock." Sarek began without preamble, his eyes dark and incalculable, a result of his efforts to keep his considerable ire in check. "This behavior must end - and now. You are my son and, therefore, must show all Vulkhanir that you are a responsible member of our society."
"Yes, A'nirih," The answer was appropriately subdued, and if a slight quaver shook the young voice, it was scarcely obvious. To five-year-old Spock, his father seemed a powerful and daunting figure at the best of times. Now, sitting behind the spacious expanse of his low desk, justly annoyed at yet another childish prank from the fruitful soil of his young son's imagination, he appeared awesomely intimidating.
Despite that overwhelming impression, Spock now faced his father in

"With all due respect, Mother," Spock said, from where he stood by the window, watching Vulcan's deep crimson sunset. "I simply do not feel as if my fate lies within the Vulcan Science Academy."
"You'll have some time trying to pass that off to your father as an acceptable excuse," Amanda pointed out, crossing the room to join her son. "But... why Starfleet Academy, Spock? There are other schools here on Vulcan. You wouldn't have to move to Earth..."
"It is my desire to move to Earth," Spock said simply. Amanda chuckled softly, placing her hands on her son's shoulders, just as her husband entered the room.
All was silent for a long moment as Sarek regarded his wife and son, his expression unchanging. Amanda held out two fingers, which Sarek touched with his own as he moved closer to

Her eyes were magnificent. A thousand different colours that from a distance were merged together as one, but closer up, were so complexly singular Spock could gaze at them all day. He noticed that when the light hit them just right, they seemed to turn a light shade of amber; it was his favourite colour, even though the idea of preferring a colour over all other colours for reasons he couldn't explain seemed rather illogical, he didn't particularly care. When that golden glint of amber shone in her eyes, everything made sense, and all his questions faded away into blackness. It gave him a sense of warmness, and reassurance that he reluctantly admitted he needed from time to time. Her eyes were just another one of those things that made Nyota who she is: Beautiful, and spectacular.
"Spock Are you sure you're ok?"
The Vulcan looked at his Nyota with a puzzled expression. "I am not sure I understand"
"Well, it's sure as hell not like you

"I didn't think anyone would be up here." You spoke, causing the figure to turn to face you. It was Vision. You slowly approached the window, going to look out too.
"I am sorry." He spoke in his monotone voice. "I shared the same thought." He admitted, watching you as you came towards him. You smiled slightly, looking out.
"You don't need to say sorry." You spoke softly. "I can't get over how amazing the view is." You looked down. "Although it is a bit sickening to look down." You laughed lightly. He nodded, looking back out.
"I agree. It is... Amazing." He repeated the word that rolled off

It had only been one short month, yet here she stood in nothing but a modest nightdress in front of her fiancé in what was once her childhood bedroom. She took a deep breath, holding his gaze and stated quite simply, Well its logical, that word he kept using, for the guest to take the bed. The edges of her lips quirked upwards despite trying her best to look as grave as he always seemed to strive to look.
The Vulcan standing across the room from her eyed the bed and then the made up mattress on the floor. His ears twitched slightly, and Amanda had to try her best not to really smile. Finally, Sarek looked at her and stated, If this was once your room, then that was once yours. Since I am a stranger to these objects and you are familiar, you should take that which is most familiar to you.
A challenge I see, Amanda said and folded her arms before crossing the room, moving closer to the mattress. Cons
A Mother's Song (Spock, Sarek, and Amanda)At first, it would be just darkness beside for slightly muffled crying of a baby could be heard and, a moment later, a door would be pushed open to reveal a usual looking nursery for a Vulcan child, though there were added touches of some Terran stuffed animals, and picture books sitting on the nightstand next to the crib. The room was illuminated by a casual lamp.A Mother's Song (Spock, Sarek, and Amanda)2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Well, my dear husband, are you having trouble getting our lovely child lulled back to sleep?" Amanda Grayson's voice would ask from behind the camera she held with a teasing tone easily heard within her words. "It does appear as such. For some odd reason, my usual brushing of fingers along Spock's psi points to project feelings of security and comfort have not been able to grant the goal I wish of getting him to return to resting." A far young Sarek of Vulcan would reply, turning to face towards his wife, who was holding the video recording device, and allowing the baby half-Vulcan cradled in his arms to come into view. The

Of course, they didn’t blame you. They all said that any person in that situation would have caved and given them their answers. They all said that it wasn’t your fault. They all said that they had already forgiven you. But you still felt guilty. And you hated it.
The worst part? The nightmares that plagued you after it all. Those fears that they had tapped into? They hadn’t left. They still lingered, and ever since the mission a week ago, you hadn’t slept a wink. You couldn’t. Because if you did, you would dream. And it would lead to another nightmare. Spock was three, Amanda recalled, when Sarek surprised him with I'Chaya, a sehlat form his own youth. Truthfully, the six-inch fangs were a little off-putting, but the creature was elderly even then and had lost a good deal of its aggressive nature.
Spock was instantly in love, which pleased Amanda, and well, Sarek was Sarek, unreadable.

"You have a choice, Spock," the healer told him. "You can let him live a longer, but painful existence, or give him a peaceful release from his suffering."

"Sorry, that was... odd." A calm British voice spoke, furrowing their eyebrows. Everyone looked at the new voice to see a red and green man staring at his surroundings. The Avengers had been fighting about Ultron and Tony's new 'vision'. You were helping the team out with the whole Ultron situation, sent especially by Director Fury. You were sent by him as you yourself had some powers. You had been training for some time with S.H.I.E.L.D, waiting for the right mission to test your skills and powers... And apparently this was the right mission. You had electricity running through your veins. Your power was electricity manipulation.

You had had a long and slightly awkward day. Why? Because you had been assisting Steve Rodgers as he trained the new avengers. All in all, it wasn't normally that bad. You usually let the captain take control, following his orders and training them in teamwork as he drilled them in their separate areas. Rhodes would fly around an obstacle course in his suit, Tony Stark launching objects and enemies at him, and their friendly banter was always slightly amusing. Falcon had much the same training, the only adjustment being that he chased after and sparred with Steve more often. You mainly worked with " the scarlet whitch" as you had come to call her, learning the full extent of her powers, and helping her to control them. It was an off day. Slow and peaceful. A day when (y/n) had too much time to sit and think. Currently, her line of thought was on the android that sat not five feet away from her.
He glanced up from the book to find her looking nonchalantly at the wall.
"I have a question."

"Is something the matter?"
"No. Just a question that's been bugging me."
He nodded and turned back to his book.

She was silent for a moment.
"Can I have a kiss?"
He froze. She watched him patiently as he worked through her question.
His eyes rose to meet hers.
"You want...a kiss?"
"Yeah. From you."
They stared at each other for a few seconds before she spoke again.
"You can say no. I'm not gonna force you."
"See? That's all it takes." She turned her gaze from him hiding the
