Chapter 1: The Scream
"We have to hel-"
Silence Nothing dare stir I felt strangely numb, yet calm
Thud! I had fallen onto the ground, dropping like a stone, my head tilting to the side ever so slightly
"Wizardmon, no! Why did you do that?!"
The darkness, it was closing in on me I couldn't leave yet, though there was something, someone left
"Please Wizardmon, don't leave me! Don't you dare leave me, you bastard!"
That voice, I knew it from somewhere It seemed sad, like she was crying.
"You idiot, you damn idiot! You-you took that blow for us! Why did you do it? Damn it, you!" The voice yelled.
Was she mad at me for something?
All I could here was my heart pounding in my ears and that one insistent voice, but even those seemed somehow distant. then I heard someone in the background, it was male, he seemed annoyed. Why?

"Outa' the way, shrimp!"
The next thing he knew, Takato was laying on his backpack, in the hall outside his classroom.
Guilmon bent down next to his partner and silently offered Takato his clawed hand as they both glared at his assailant.
Rich was one of the worst kind of bullies. Large, thickly built, and with a brain the size of a chickpea. Rich sneered down at Takato, struggling to get up with a backpack full of heavy books.
"You better stay outa my way from now on, shrimp." Rich glared.
"Yah," chimed in Riches Digimon, a gray, rabbit looking Gazimon. "And that goes for your dumb lizard pet, too."
The two bullies guffawed loudly and headed into the back of the classroom while Takato and Guilmon sat near the windows in the front.
It had only been two years ago that Takato had helped defeat the D-Reaper, and only a few months after that the boundaries

Gallantmon Crimson Mode was closing in on the D-Reaper. He flew in until, a giant monstrous agent with a huge mouth came and...
"Takatomon! Your telling the story wrong!" Said Guilmon urgently. "That's when the scary-Jeri head came up and said GURR!"
"No that came after the huge D-Reaper agent came, and blocked our way!" Said the man named Takato.
"Guilmon I wouldn't use the term 'scary-Jeri.'" Said a girl about the age of ten, with med-short pink hair, and red-brown eyes. "Mom mite come in."
"But she was scary!" Said Guilmon.
"So will the real Jeri be if she comes in...Guilmon I think I'm with Tallia on this one..." Said Takato leaning back on the couch. "Besides, I don't feel like sleeping on the couch."
"Oooh..." Guilmon said sadly. "But she was."
"Don't worry Guilmon I believe you." Said the six-year-old next to Tallia. He had reddish-brown hair and golden-brown eyes. "Unlike my mean big sister!"

Anderson casually walked around the dark orphanage, doing his nightly duty of locking all the windows and doors. Pale moonlight filtered through the tall windows, giving off just enough light to allow him to see nearly everything. Then again, that could be because...
The priest shook his head as he latched the window, hoping to shake the thought as well. It had been six months since returning to the orphanage. During the first weeks of return, he spoke very little and smiled only when the children were around so as not to upset them with his own troubled expression. It was in that time that he feared the worse; he feared he was becoming a vampire. He didnt know how it would work with his regenerative capabilities, so it may have been going slower than normal.
Since then, in the privacy of his room, he checked his teeth and eyes daily. No change. Most importantly, he had no craving for

The man stopped his slow walk to look at the building across the street. "Huh, I never noticed how close I lived to a military establishment," he observed to himself. The earlier rain that morning had made his usual path home overly muddy, so he decided to take a detour. It wouldn't hurt to see more of his neighborhood anyways.
As he stood staring at the curious building, two workers walked out, lighting their cigarettes as soon as they were our of the establishment's boundaries.
When they began talking about work cautiously, looking out for passing by civilians, Bido quickly hid in the alleyway unseen. He didn't want to be thought to planning something or some other tragic misunderstanding. (he had been gawking at the place pretty strangely)

Dolcetto woke to a floating head, whispering forcefully in his face. A head framed with short, blonde hair and marked with a green tattoo, slithering up its cheek.
"Hey, Fido. Wake up."
"Don't call me that." He sat up, scratching his head as Martel drew her head back in closer to her shoulders. "And you shouldn't stretch your neck like that. One of these days, it's gonna get stuck." He grinned. "And then you'd look pretty stupid."
"Not as stupid as you look right now. And be quiet! You're going to wake everybody up." She took a cook book out from behind her back. "Come on. Today, we're gonna do it for real."
Dolcetto groaned. "Not that again. C'mon, Boss can eat takeout just like the rest of us."
"After all he's done for us? We've got to at least try to do something. We have no cash, very few talents, and a kitchen that once outfitted this place. We don't have any perishable stuff, but I think we can nick that easy enough."

"May I dance with you?"
She pauses mid-step.
She doesn't know how to react.
He had never come to her soul room when he first controlled her.
He had manipulated her mind, made her do and say things she didn't remember and didn't want to, but he had never cared where her spirit went while it wasn't in control.
After his inner darkness took control of his physical form, he sought refuge in this place.
She was wary, but after she learned of his troubled past, she began to feel compassion.
He was harmless, alone, and afraid, so she allowed him to hide with her.
He didn't talk, didn't interact, and so she ignored him, making use of her soul's inner dance studio to indulge in her favorite diversion.
There he stands, dark even in the sunlight of her soul room, his image behind her reflecting off the mirrored walls of the dance studio, with longing pouring from his lavender eyes.

Alucard quickly ran along the edges of the narrow pathway hewed into the rock. The bleak, mountain wind whipped his clothes around like many live snakes. But the Nosferatu didn't waver. He had far too much to plan. Simple mortal inconveniences, but time consuming none the less. He adjusted the bundle carried in his coat that threatened to spill without breaking stride. Material possessions meant little to him, but this rare bit of dried and crushed plant within had perfected his little game with his pet.
Colorless and odorless when boiled, it gives the user a lost sense of time and a slight chance of paranoia. It had been used sporadically through the ages for religious purposes by heathens. Now, it was used to make the whole thing seem unreal and much longer to his pet.
Alucard grinned slightly as he thought back on it. He had com

Leather and zips, Beelzemon thought with a sneer.

Coulson stood leaning against some mats, waiting. The mission came out clipped, words with punches, grit teeth biting out angry syllables. The agent just listened, letting Steve vent to the punching bag and him. When the soldier finally slumped, head down, panting on the bag, Coulson walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. Steve whirled around, pretty much enveloping Phil while still hunkering in upon himself, and breathed, tearless but shaking, into the man's shoulder. It was always

The grey sand softly crunched beneath his leather soles as he walked the barren planes of Mictlan. Crystalline glistening, yet brittle as bones withering for ages, and rippled by an everlasting gust, the waste stretched - vast and empty - further than anyone could gauge.
Mictlantecuhtli came to a halt and raised his black eyes up to the never-ending sky.
There was no sun in the Land of the Dead, no moon, no clouds, no birds. By day the firmament was painted in pale apricot, by night in dark turquoise. Never varying, ever enduring.
There was no sound either, since nothing existed to make a sound.
There was only the wind, consistently furrowing the ashen ground and tugging at the crimson edges of Mictlantecuhtli's cape, while it carried a dusty dry scent with it. The scent of aeons.

A few days after the incident with Ryoko, Ayeka was sitting in her room, thinking. Considering the way Ryoko had acted and the fact that she was cured with hypnosis, it was clear that she'd been hypnotized to act that way in the first place. Ayeka had an idea but she didn't know how to execute it. Since Washu had fixed it (and probably caused it too), maybe she could help. She knocked on the door of Washu's lab and it opened for her. She entered and bowed. "Excuse me, Miss Washu, but I was hoping you could help me with something."
"Oh? What do you need?"
"Well, I was wondering..." it was clear to Washu that Ayeka was embarrassed about what she was about to ask but Washu already had an idea what it was based on her reaction and what had happened recently. Ayeka took a deep breath and tried again, "I was wondering if you could teach me hypnosis?"
"What, so you can hypnotize Ryoko to leave Tenchi alone?" Washu replied, a fox-like look on her face.
"W-what!? No! Of course not!"
