Wonder Woman: Legacy, Ch. 1
Most of the structures on Themyscira were ancient Greek style in construction, as their culture was largely ancient Greek in makeup, and built of marble or limestone for the most part. A training center near the middle of the island was one of the largest. Like most structures, it had a walled open courtyard all the way around it, four entrances into the structure itself, and large marble columns that held up the stone roof. The inside of the perimeter wall was adorned with gardens with a track of clean sand right inside of the gardens that measured over three miles around the building, and inside of these were the training fields for this facility, and they were all in heavy use this day. Four obstacle courses, one on each side of the huge, three level structure, were of varying degrees of difficulty for different kinds of training and were named for Greek Gods.
On the south side of the structure, a group of women had just finished

Darkness had settled hours ago and the house was finally quiet. Though weary from a long day, Diana knew that sleep would be a difficult prize to claim, especially with everything in her mind that vied for her attention. She lay on her back, right in the middle of her spacious bed as she stared at the ceiling with troubled blue eyes. With one hand laying on her belly and the other arm curled around her head, she did her best to relax her body, hoping that her mind would soon follow. Her long black hair was pulled to one side and was flailed out on her pillow and bed. Her spacious bedroom was dimly lit in the warm blue glow offered by the full moon. There were not many furnishings, only the bed, desk across the room under the window and a wardrobe that was made of some dark wood. Two other pieces had joined the

They returned to the mansion in high spirits and Elissa seemed to have forgotten about her failure with Scarecrow. Clinging to her mother's arm as they entered, she laughed and declared, "You have got to be kidding! And she knew nothing about it?"
"I didn't keep many secrets from your grandmother," Diana admitted, "but some things are much better left unsaid."
"That is just totally wicked," the girl said with a laugh.
"Just don't get any ideas," Diana warned. "I'm way ahead of you on that."
"I believe you, Mom. Hey! Maybe we can, like, go and do a Justice League mission or something. It would be all kinds of fun!"
With a little smile, Diana confirmed, "Sure, I'd like that. But not until I get you clearance, understand?"
"And I think your father would like some time with you as well. Do you think you can g

Elissa moaned softly and rocked her head to the left, then the right, and her eyes opened to thin slits. She blinked and struggled to bring the world around her into focus. Drawing a deep breath, she tried to make sense of where she was, how she got there
Anxiety surged up again and quickly she felt herself near panic as she looked around her. When she tried to sit up, a strap around her chest stopped her. Trying to raise her hands to remove it revealed that she was cuffed to the bed she lay on. Looking down at herself, she saw that she was only covered with a white sheet and white wool blanket, and over these were leather restraints over her legs and hips and she could feel her ankles cuffed and strapped down beneath the sheet. Her eyes darted about. This looked like the Batcave, and yet it did not. Drawing a deep breath, she tried to calm herself and reason out what had happen, w
BATMAN: LEGACYThe Bat Cave illuminated as the door slid open and Batman strode toward the car that was parked in the middle of the cavern, and right on his heels was Golden Angel, a girl about five foot six with long black hair that was restrained in a pony tail. She wore a combination of clothing and armor, a red top that left her right shoulder and her midriff bare, a golden raptor symbol across her chest that had the wings of a bat. She wore golden gauntlets on her forearms, and red and gold boots almost to her knees. The bottom piece of this costume was royal blue, low on her hips and left her legs almost completely bare, and it was adorned with white stars. On her brow she wore a golden tiara with a blue star in the center that was flanked by the black wings of a bat. This was a young heroine in training, and this day the lesson seemed to be an elusive one in patience.BATMAN: LEGACY4 years ago in Drama More Like This

The lights were low in the central control room of the Watchtower and when the doors slid shut behind Wonder Woman she did not stray more than a step or two from them as her eyes found that one lonely figure sitting at the main console. A familiar creeping began in her stomach and she drew a calming breath. She feared almost nothing, but this was a conversation she had hidden from for almost two decades. Finally striding forward, her steps were as confident as she could manage and she was able to control the shaking of her knees very well. It was not a long walk, but it sure seemed to take forever.
Finally reaching the occupied chair, she grasped it with one hand, the console with the other as she looked to the large view screen that was right in front of the man who worked the controls. Silence thickened the air around them and the tension mounted.
"Quiet night?" she finally fo

Commissioner Gordon stood on the roof, his hands in the pockets of his overcoat as he stared up at the bat signal that shined brightly on the clouds above. With him were two uniformed police officers, both of whom watched the signal on the clouds as well. The spotlight that sent it there illuminated much of the roof surrounding it, but behind it and in the distance, all was shrouded in shadows, and everyone present knew that Batman would emerge from those shadows. The sounds of the blowing wind would mask the approach of the Dark Knight and tensions were high as the three awaited him.
A loud, mechanical click sounded from behind them and the spotlight went out, plunging much of the rooftop back into darkness. Only the two lights that flanked the one door that accessed the roof illuminated the roof to any degree. Even as the two policemen spun around, Gordon turned almost casually, looking to the shadowy figure who stood
GOLDEN ANGEL: THE WATCHTOWER Elissa had only taken the flight to clear her mind. She figured nobody would ask questions when she took the IJ121 from the well guarded hangar at the small, private airport near Gotham City, and no one did. Sure, this was Themyscira's most advanced jet, but even at seventeen years old she was an accomplished fighter pilot and was only rarely questioned by those who guarded it. After all, who would dare question the daughter of Wonder Woman?GOLDEN ANGEL: THE WATCHTOWER4 years ago in Drama More Like This
Her helmet lay on the seat beside her, leaving her long, obsidian black hair free and pulled over one shoulder to keep it out of her way. Blue eyes darted to the instruments frequently and automatically, but mostly scanned the cloud strewn sky outside of the airplane. Dressed as Golden Angel, she would be ready should she have to land and spring into action. This was a two piece costume. The top was read and supported only over her left

On a high rooftop lost among many like it in the middle of the night, Elissa paced back and forth with her arms crossed over her chest, staring at the roof before her as she walked. Diana stood by the roof's edge, her foot atop the short wall and her arms folded on her knee. She was watching the night and was clearly lost in thought, and did not speak much for the half hour they waited.
"Still not sure why we're here," Elissa grumbled as she paced.
Diana smiled. "Like someone once told me, patience, Princess."
Elissa finally stopped pacing and she turned fully to her mother. "Look. We need to talk. I can't go back to Themyscira under the circumstances. I have obligations here and Like I told you, when I was on Olympus the Gods told me I have to use these gifts they gave me andandand Stacy's going to need me for a while Are you listening?"
WONDER WOMAN vs RED PANZERWith things quiet in the city, Elissa often looked to other areas where her presence could be more useful. Gotham was a clear choice, but with Batman there she was nervous about even approaching that city for fear of another confrontation with him. Little was known about him and he did not seem to have any special powers or abilities yet still he put the fear of the Gods into her, and in that respect she found herself envious. She still had not met Superman face to face and often thought about making the six hour drive to Metropolis to do just that, though that always remained on the back burner.WONDER WOMAN vs RED PANZER4 years ago in Drama More Like This
Often, she craved the company of other Amazons, but knew it was not time to return home. Not yet. She had not quite left the mark she needed to, and she would not return home in failure.
With everything finally going right, the day came when it was finally time to be tested. It was a quiet Monday morning and the streets were bus

Around bedtime, Elissa saw Stacy to bed and dismissed herself to go to "work."
The road to Gotham was supposed to be about three hours, but a fast motorcycle in the dark made it in less than two.
Somewhere downtown, Elissa found a secure parking garage and hid her bike in plain sight there, then spun to change to her alter ego.
Jumping down from the second deck, she set off on a walk through one of the most crime ridden cities in the country, and got no shortage of attention from those who walked the streets.
She had come to Gotham to fight crime, and Gotham would not disappoint her. In less than an hour she caught two street thugs trying to rob a corner store. Guns blazed and bullets ricocheted off of her gauntlets as she easily took the crooks down and held them for the overworked police.
More action found its way to her and she foiled two more robberies in the next hour.
Hearing more gunfire, she ran that direction, finding two police officers in a fi

Only an hour later Elissa was over open water, her jet invisible to the outside and cruising at Mach two. At this speed she had enough fuel to fly halfway around the world, but she needed to go only a fraction of that distance.
True to what she had heard, the first hour of her flight was absolute boredom. Autopilot was taking care of the airplane and other than the book she had brought and a computer with no internet access she really had nothing else to do. The safety of Themyscira was far behind her and adventure was waiting ahead, but she was not thinking so far ahead, nor was she really in the moment. Her eyes glanced over the words of the book she read, but she really could not concentrate on it. Dire consequences awaited her eventual return to Themyscira, and she knew she would have to make a hard mark on the outside world and make it quickly. Her mother had. Her grandmother had. Now
