where adventurers have left space,
and spend their days and centuries watching the trees and clouds. Using their godly powers to do things like warm up drinks.
Also, ideally there'd be robots, and the odd laser fight. And time travelling.
Gotta make the most of time, after all.
not what's happening.
It's just you and me.
Buying apples. Boozing.
Writing about it.
Did you ever...Did you ever want to just stop the worldDid you ever...5 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Grab the one thing you have always wanted
Never let go of it
Make sure it knows that you want it more than anything else
Make sure its treated the way it should be
Charish the moments you could of had it but didn't
Realise that you will never want anything like it again
But then when the world starts again
You know that you cant have it
And you have to check into reality

Right here, right now
youYES YOU, stop.
Make sure you know,
this is not a suggestion;
this is a fact, a command.
Try to remember:
This is NOT a formula for altruism.
This is NOT a masqueraded apology.
This is NOT a dysphoric cry for help.
This is robbing word banks for lines,
then cutting the front of the lexicon.
This is adding insult to libel,
injury to a broken mandible
one that never spoke anyway.
if you've felt like this before,
stab me three times in the jaw.
Qu'est ce que l'amour?
if this is your second time reading this,
slam your head into an oven
like fucking Sylvia Plath;
maybe then you'd get noticed.
And by you, I mean me,
and by me, I mean you,
and by that I mean fuck
This is adding sodium to a battle scar
and incessantly cussing in a papercut.
This is a masochist wearing bandages
to cover the fingers of virgins-in-denial.
This is slander and flattery and murder,
first-degree charges for lingui
HitchhikerI am counting cars the same wayHitchhiker4 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
I count fishes in my sea.
But it is murky like suffocating drains
choking words I can't take back
a lonely side puddle on the road.
I don't look at the metal bodies
but the warm breathing ones
from rolled-down windows, carefree lollipop wrappers
bobbing mainstream music.
I count the drivers and passengers smiles
and theirs is more than the ones you give me.
I guess your car and try to find it anyway.
Is it ferrari red?
Like a horse with electric hooves
thundering my loose earth
with ridge muscles
fearless mane hair?
Is it a monster truck?
Like an armoured hunchback
banged up front-gate grin?
I'm beginning to think whatever it is
As your leather jacket that collects nightmare sweat
hands too young to belong to
As your pencilled past that
colours both our lives.
Baby, I have washed-up nickels.
I'll take the bus.
Divided We StandBeing repeatedly thrown to the ground,Divided We Stand5 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Teaches you to stand up on your own.
Pointing fingers Pointing fingers.
Take a breath, and change your clothes.
Through the lies and deceit,
one begins to make up their own.
Don't hold on to some mirage.
Look behind and know what's wrong.
Take a trip down what once was.
Close your eyes and begin denial.
Learn from the withering roses.
Take those plastic truths
and forget the pictures.
Hold on to what was always yours
and be ready to share it as a last resort.
