Setting: our time, actual time, currently the time and space era we inhabit this very moment. Or, as some may call it of this very moment 2011.
Traffic was horrible, it was as if all of London knew that I was in a hurry and was hell bend on making sure I reached my destination as slowly as possible. I could go into a long recollection of how I attempted to outrun other cars, beat traffic signals and try not to run over pedestrians, but that would take too long.
To put it simply, I abandoned my car- well, technically Ciel's car- in the middle of a busy street and decided to run to the airport.
A bit out of breath I stride to the first entry onto the plane, the attendant takes my pre-ordered ticket and rips off the piece she keeps. Her large brown eyes briefly survey my body, her sight staying locked on my eyes before flickering to my chest. Sighing I quirked one eyebrow in a silent plea to continue on with my journey; I know I'm attractive, demons usu

Cradles the land
It paints my face
A numb white mask
Fading to gray
To abandoned places
Shunned by day.
On broken playgrounds
Where lost ones played
I still hear their laughter
As they were led away.
The birds have been silenced
Along with my voice
Not by violence
I was given a choice.
By a spidery phantom
Null and unnatural
But for which we pined
He steals through the daylight
Not restricted to night
He's searching for something
With sick, soothing vibes.
At the edge of the woods
Where animals hang
From the branches, untouched
By claw or by fang.
The mist tries to borrow
an enemy's face
Elation and sorrow
A demonic embrace.
Born from our longing
For monsters revived
From deepening shadows
Where echoes confide
Terrible, transient, present but faint
Look long and hard
And you'll see its taint.
Comes to my side
Too weak to withstand
This dark lullaby
Draw down my spine
And I hear him whisper,
You'll always be

Bored as all hell. That was how Shizuo would describe his last class of the day. Covering a yawn with his hand, he glanced at the clock. Only 45 minutes remained of having to pretend to listen to the teacher drone on with his lecture. Placing his head on his desk he stared ahead, before being assulted by something small and lightweight hitting his head. Scowling he grabbed it from the top of his head and the blonde stared dumbly at the folded square of paper he held. Turning his head to the left, his gaze met with Izaya, whom paused his doodling, glancing at him before motioning with his hand to unfold it. Skeptically Shizuo complied, only to dead pan at what was on the note.
~ Ne Shizu-chan?
Staring at 'it' for a few moments he finally picked up his pencil and warily replied, before folding it again and tossing it back onto Izaya's desk.
Surprised that Shizuo actually responde

Alois stood on his balcony edge leaning his purple clothed arms on the white, furnished wood. He gazed out across the many acres of his manor. The garden, which was being tended now, was far bigger than necessary. His front yard was empty, the cobblestones for carriages freshly swept of all lingering snow. Little flakes drifted from the sky, but they were not strong. They melted seconds before even getting a chance to meet with the ground. The blonde sighed, twirling one of his golden locks.
A butterfly, specifically one of the rarest in the world, flitted through the sky in a series of circles. Alois recognized the type immediately from the creature's wings.

CielXReader- Chapter 17A certain red haired reaper leaned over a corpse, humming a song that none would know. The beat was quite slow as he lifted up the dead person's arm and let it drop lifelessly to the ground. It made a slapping sound of distinction, the precise sound of skin on concrete. Grell tsk'd in the middle of his song and lifted the man's eyelid to peer at his elusively dead eyes. Like those of a fish, the man's gray eyes glazed and stared up at the red head against the completely cadaverous life form.CielXReader- Chapter 173 years ago in Romance More Like This
"What a pity," Grell said, watching the now present cinematic records unfold into the sky and out the window. He watched them and took note of what a dull and dreary life this man had led. He was born in China, outside the skirts of some village. He had moved to England when he was ten and been bullied for his heavily noticeable accent. By the age of fifteen, he had fallen in love with a maiden that had no interest in him. She was actually one of the many who bullied him into a further debasing lif

You awaken in a large room, alone. You look up and down, your vision blurry and unfocused, before you rise shakily to your feet. Your vision stabilizes and you are able to make out your surroundings. You seem to have retained your clothes, at the very least, which made you happy, but you are shocked by what you see. You appear to have been shrunken to the size of a fly! Everything around you is so huge! Chairs seem the size of skyscrapers, if not even taller; the table seems to stretch for miles, and the ceiling reminds you of a blank white canvas, stretched an infinitesimal distance over your head. You begin to explore your surroundings, looking through every nook and cranny. Though most of the structures are too tall for you to reach, you cannot withstand the urge to look around the room. There are chairs, a table, a desk… this place has everything! Your curious soul is oblivious to everything around you. You suddenly feel strange shaking from

As Izaya lazily stretched out on the bench he quietly observed the people around him.
An old couple playing a game of checkers, a young mother buying her son an ice cream cone, a small group of three high school girls giggling and blushing over a note ... 'Hang on' Izaya thought as he brought his full attention to the girls and scooted down the bench so he could hear better.
"I can't believe you two passed notes all during class!" a tan blonde said. "So scandalous!" a dark skinned brunette replied. To which a pale blonde blushed at and started squealing about how romantic it was. But Izaya had stopped listening by then, instead he was remembering a similar situation he had been involved in, in his high school days. 'What was it?' he thought as he recalled doing it during a lecture. Izaya suddenly

Jeff hated water. He hated water, water puddles and rain. But for the moment it didn't really matter; he wouldn't stop chasing Zalgo, even under the rain, as long as he wouldn't get his jacket back.

*Ludwig's Point of View*
I was wandering aimlessly, not really aware where my soul wandered. I was lost, but not exactly afraid. My pain and suffering were fading the longer I wandered. I wanted it to end: the pain, the suffering, the strife, the hatred, I wanted it all to end. I didn't want to return where I knew only ridicule and pain awaited me. I welcomed the numbness that was closing in around me, enjoying it, embracing it.
The whole of my wanderings had been in relative quiet, nothing really breaking through the silence that engulfed my mind. Until one day, I heard something. It was a voice. My feet, which had ambled slowly and without direction, stopped. I was still. I listened.

I dipped my shaking hands in the cool washtub, trying to remove the slimy, shiny, hot blood from them. My whole body shook like a leaf in a gale as I tried to process what had just happened.
There was Elsie, calling to me from across the hall for more bandages. There was me grabbing the linen strips and rushing to her side. Then there was the soldier. His right arm was completely severed and gushing blood through what were once layers and layers of clean, white bandages and onto Elsie and two others nurses hands and arms. There was Elsie moving my hands to put pressure on the stump at his shoulder while she started to put a tourniquet on him. There was the blood, so much blood. There was the man chanting prayers under his breath, begging for God's forgiveness and mercy. There was the sound of Elsie's voice, telling me he was gone. There was the blankness in his eyes.

I tied off the bandage to his chest, glad that we had both gotten through the agony of cleaning his wounds again. I was pleased to see less blood on his bandages, and the scabs continue to overtake the open red gashes. Ludwig's jaw was still tight from the painful ordeal. This cleaning was just as bad for him as the last one; he'd gasped and groaned so much that I almost felt every jolt of his pain.
"I'm all done now," I informed him. "It's over. You're not going to be in any more pain." I started lightly caressing his head, just looking at his face, still taught from pain. He started to relax as I stroked his hair. I could feel his muscles release and see the lines of his face soften.
I ran my fingers through his smooth, blonde hair, letting the strands flow across them like water. I enjoyed the experience as much as he did. I could feel my worries fade away and m

I dipped the rag into the warm, soapy water. Suds clung to my wrist as I wrung out the excess moisture. I began with his face. Taking gentle, slow strokes, I cleaned his forehead, his cheeks, his neck, careful as a mother cat cleaning her kits. I dipped the rag into the water again and proceeded to his chest.
I hesitated before I began to clean it. I knew this would hurt him. I pursed my lips as I looked at the near-fatal wounds I was about to touch. I gathered my courage and began to clean it. I lovingly wiped his upper chest first, above where his wounds began. I was amazed that, even with almost a week of disuse, it was still as firm as a drum head. Once again, something in my stomach fluttered. I ignored the sensation as best as I could and began to clean the left side of his che

Dinner was pleasant enough. Himmler had taken it upon himself to cook a simple meal for he and his guest for the evening. There was seasoned eggplant, wild rice and broccoli with a very light sauce and special just for Heydrich, a chicken leg and thigh. Neither man had anything to complain about. The food was nice, company was pleasant as well as the conversation, but Heydrich could always find something to tease his friend about.
"So, Heinrich, did you slaughter the chicken yourself?" he asked cheekily.
Caught off guard, Himmler coughed and turned his nose up at the comment. "No! There are men to do that for us!" he shoved a forkful of eggplant into his mouth in an attempt to hide his scowl.
The blond was all smiles, "Aw, come on, Heini! I was only teasing!"
"It's in poor taste to make fun of a man's previously failed career! How would you like it if I started to rib you about your naval days?" He shot a stern look at his guest. "And besides, you are very lucky

'What a rough day,' I thought as I plopped onto the seat proffered to me by one of my fellow nurses. Leaning my head back, I slouched down and let my whole body relax. I had been on pins and needles all day, there were so many wounded that needed tending to. Some had missing limbs that needed rewrapping, others needed morphine to kill the pain that plagued them, and still others needed bullets removed.
I sighed and looked down at my blood-stained uniform. The steely-blue dress was spared for the most part, but my white apron was completely gone. There was more purplish-red than white on it now. It never failed to amaze me just how much blood there was in a single human. I shuddered as I thought of the soldierI think his name was Franz--who had died of blood loss just today.
I kept thinking it would end, the tide of blood.
'That's it,' I ke

will you play with me today?
I know a game
its really fun
i never have anyone to play

they all seem
to give up
and all too quickly
the end is abrupt.
The game is called Morbid.
Here, you sit there
and I'll tie you up
to that cold metal chair
just sit still,
I'll ask questions
and tell you things to do
and if you can't do them
I get to stab you!
Sounds fun right?
Then lets get started.

ah what a shame
i'll cut out your tongue
so you can't soil my name
isn't you blood delicious?
i think so too
its your own fault your tongue's gone
no, i don't feel sorry for you
you can do none of my tasks

Luzifer turned to you from where he was sitting in yet another parlor of the huge mansion (you swept out probably about three that day, plus the living room).
"Do you know where the gate oil is?" You asked.
"Why do you need oil?" Luzifer said.
"Because I need to oil the gate." You said. "I was out there weeding and I noticed that the breeze was making the gate creak really loudly."
"Luciano doesn't want you near the gate." Luzifer said. "He doesn't want you to get out."
You gave a soft, girly laugh. "Are you kidding? I can't even move that gate! Why would I escape? And, with my sister's life on the line, I don't think I'd budge from this place.
