This is the first of three shots we did for this cosplay shoot. Emma Frost is one of the characters I really wanted to work on, but it was a bit rare to find a natural blonde to pull off the act. Good thing, Kirja is around... a pretty blonde who happens to be based in Manila. Hahaha.. you don't find that everyday.
Good thing she was more than game in putting on a costume outside the usual license of Halloween.

Edit (10.06.10): We recently used Kirja to cosplay another character, this time from DC's Birds of Prey, Black Canary.
Big kudos to Solenn... she's not just an awesome model, but a great make-up artist too. She even came in all made up already. Plus she did her own prosthetics for the scars and blood. I was amazed. Total pro.
And of course, thanks to for literally illustrating the peg / pose for us during the shoot. We shall now call this, "The Carlo Pagulayan Action Shot"

Psylocke Ver. 1
Psylocke was one of the first cosplay shoots we ever did three years ago, and I thought she deserves a revisit, given the kind of experience and knowledge we have earned through the years. I hope we did her character justice this time around.
For the rest of us comic book geeks, she is better known as Poison Ivy.
Make-up: Claire Dioko of Shu Uemura Hair: Charlie Manapat Styling: Hannah Kim Costume Production: Badj Genato Production Designer: Raffy Tesoro Art Director: Javey Villones Digital Imaging: Angelo Lico Model: Maria Dolonius
We gotta hand it MC for bringing Ms. Marvel to life. She really did a superb job on the costume. She was like a walking / talking Ms. Marvel... as in.
Funny to note, our last "in Flight" shot was Rogue. Knowing how these two characters related to each other in the comics was a strange coincidence in our shoots.
The cityscape shot was taken from the observation deck of 30 Rockefeller, home of NBC Studios.
