Another design for Gundam Dawn. Basically an HRL mobile suit inspired by the classic Zaku. The Zouka was a mobile suit in development by the Human Reform League. Standing at a relatively diminutive 15.4 meters, the Zouka was the HRL's attempt at creating a "dwarf mobile suit," better suited to city-fighting and close-in urban combat than the lumbering Tieren mobile suits usually fielded by the HRL. Only twenty were produced, all of which were stationed at the HRL's GN development complex in the Pacific. The design was nearly ready to enter mass production, but was rendered obsolete by the unexpected introduction of the GN-X.
A new, prettier rendition of my "Marine" variant of the Human Reform League's ubiquitous Tieren mobile suit.
The Tieren Marine is a maritime assault mobile suit which forgoes the standard leg units in favor of a pair large turbine/air-cushion units. This allows it to travel at high speed in urban areas and over open ocean. It is typically armed with a hefty strike package equipped to its right arm consisting of a long-barrel 40mm rotary cannon, three missile pods, a snub rocket launcher, as well as optical and non-optical targeting equipment. It also has a pair of back mounted missile pods (as pictured), in addition to the standard chest-mounted gatling gun.
The Tieren Marine is an original MSV (Mobile Suit Variation) for my unofficial Gundam 00 side-story, Gundam 00 Dawn.

So here's another variant of the HRL's Tieren mobile suit that'll be featured in my Gundam 00 side story, Gundam Dawn. The Tieren Marine is a maritime assault mobile suit, based loosely on the classic Dom from Mobile Suit Gundam. It has high-speed hover capability thanks to the large vectored thrust engines in the legs, allowing it to travel over smooth terrain and open ocean. A squad of 10 Tieren Marines are assigned to protect the Human Reform League's GN development program in the Pacific.
EDIT: please note that the head in not meant to look like a Zaku. It is intended to look like the standard Tieren's head, minus the circular radome thing on the front. Seriously, go look at the actual Tieren: [link]
A shiny new reference for the GN blades used by Gundam Dawn. It lacks the ranged features of the GN blades used by the Exia and the 00 Gundam. When equipped, it locks into Gundam Dawn's hand and elbow, leaving the equipment port atop the forearm free for additional equipment. The Dawn is capable of dual-wielding a pair of these, but generally enters combat brandishing only one.
This is a design for my Gundam 00 side-story: Gundam Dawn.
So I've been on a bit of a Gundam-concept-art-bender for the last couple days. Expect a few more shiny new references this week.
This has been something of a pet project during the last month. The Jagd Ashanti follows the naming conventions of Gundam's other Neo Zeon mobile suits: "Geara" means it's a mass-produced model, "Jagd" designates an advanced/unique model. Also, like the Geara Zulu, it is named for an African warrior tribe, the Ashanti. It's design is influenced by both the Sazabi and Sinanju, two Neo Zeon command suits from the UC 90's.
Perhaps a rival mobile suit to my Jegan Custom ([link])?
EDIT 10/14/2011 Since getting my new computer setup, it's come to my attention that my previous computer's screen color settings were misaligned. As such I've been working on correcting errors in the coloration of some of my works. In this case, The Lambda Gundam's chest and shoulders are intended to be blue, instead of purple. This has been corrected.
Today, I received a letter of assignment to Captain Wolfgang's squadron. Initially, I was rather excited by this, as Wolf Team pilots Jegans, top-of-the-line Mobile Suits. But something seemed...off. A team of technicians took me out to the hangars to see my new machine. It's definitely a Jegan, but it's different. It's covered in maneuvering verniers, and looks trimmed down in places. The gun is different too. I didn't see an ammo clip, or a receiver for one, so I'm assuming it's a beam weapon. I thought beam rifles were reserved for command units? But then it hit me. All those tests they've been running on me. They say I'm a "Newtype." That I'm some next step in Human evolution. The only Newtypes I knew of are Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, and last I heard they were both MIA, presumed dead after the incident earlier this year. The technicians say that being a Newtype is a blessing. It's not. Not for me, anyway; it's a curse. Sure, I can pilot a mobile suit well, better than "normal" people; but when I'm not training or sleeping, I'm being poked and prodded by lab techs, day in and day out. Maybe, if I'm lucky, Wolf Team will be stationed somewhere remote. Mayble mopping up renegade Zeon forces out in the asteroid belt? I'd love to be as far away as possible from here.
Honestly, I have no clue what prompted me to draw a Jegan. I guess I just like the design. But of course, I just couldn't leave well enough alone, and had to turn it into a custom, high-performance variant. This is my first attempt at a (semi) original mobile suit set in Gundam's Universal Century timeline. This could develop into a short story, but for now, I think I'll leave it where it is.
This is my design for the pair of GN blades used by Gundam Dawn. The design is based on the GN sword III used by the 00 Gundam. Like the GN Blade III, the type-four can fold backwards for storage. Unlike the type-three, the type-four does not need to fold to enter rifle mode. The type-four's built-in dual beam rifle is integrated directly into the blade. The GN Blade IVs mounts to the Dawn's elbows, allowing the blades to act as large, pointy extensions to the Gundam's arms.

It seems that every self-respecting mecha fan has taken a gander at the original Mobile Suit Gundam. This is my redesign of the classic giant robot that started the juggernaut that is the Gundam franchise. I've tried to make this look instantly recognizable as the original RX-78-2 (what happened to the RX-78-1?), but still be distinctly my own style.
