this is my entry for the "Wacom Bring Your Vision to Life Contest"
Althow the theme was good vs evil, I chose to represent them as a single working concept, because you can't appreciate one without the knowing of the other.
In other words, good and evil, yin and yang, black and white, night and day, light and dark, life and death, man and woman... all this things are in a perpetual "battle", but no one wins, because there is order in chaos, there is a balance between them.
As in physics, every action has a reaction, equal to the first but contrary to it.
I tried to add as many concepts as I could in one working unit, and I came up with this.
I also got inspired by one of ~Kiralyna's writings (it was a description of two lovers)
if you like my entry please support it in the contest. thanks for watching
the head of holofernes after decapitating it from his viscious body along with all his sins and vices which could be interpreted as the psuedo-visionary influenza that constantly plagues mankind with its swine like smell, entheogenic beasts wrapped in silky smooth togas immensely bathed in blasphemy and heresy.
My eulogy to the lost souls which have called themselved visionaries, who infact is the holofernes, and i am the judith which shall cut off your heads...beware the sharp sword of gromyko's vision!!!
My condolences also to the lost people of mexico who have recently suffered great from the epidemic called the "swine flu"
My symphaties tio Hector and all the people of Mexico.
My good truimph over these evils!!!
this is my first entry to the WACOM bring your vision to life contest!!!
my entry for the Wacom Contest (there were a handful of other paintings...but i couldn't get them done in time (i'll post them when their finished ) - this one took me over a month to do!! [and it's not how i wanted it!!])
Reason; i didn't want to go for the typical Angel VS Demon. instead i went for the typical Dragon instead they say that Heavens suppose to be in the sky, made of clouds and light. and that Hell is of the Underworld, of fire and darkness. hence these two you could also say it's Soft VS Harsh, Blue VS Red, the Sky VS the Earth yeah, the background is ment to be rubbish
I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to do for this... like, where I spent about five days drawing, coloring, and cleaning up the picture, I spent weeks before that thinking of ideas, concepts, and just general brainstorming of WHAT good and evil really is...
And this is what I came up with... definitely not the best picture in the contest, but I worked pretty hard on it... XD
I don't know if I want people to find their own interpretations of the picture, or if I should just explain the whole thing... So I'll just explain it a leeeettle.
Ideas that went into the final picture are:
-good and evil, and how they work together; the idea is that good and evil are not separate, but one conflicting, ever changing idea, like a coin: one object, two sides. -corruption: how something starts off innocent, but can slowly become corrupt -and finally, how though we might think something is good, it can be evil, or may become corrupt. The same can be said for evil, and how it can change, to become good
(I didn't mark this as mature, b/c I don't really think it is, but if anyone feels otherwise, I can change it XD )
(( and thanks goes to for letting me use her tablet to fix the lines and hair 8D ))
I have always been fascinated by the industrial side of EVE's starships. As I mine, I've often wondered how the ore gets from the blasted rock into the ship itself... so I conceived of a massive magnetic field that attracts the pulverized material and draws it into the processor units.
I like the idea of the magnetic field being so powerful that it has to be removed from the living areas of the ship, and that arcs of electricity form along the magnetic field as rock is pulled inside.
Resubmitted Artwork, 7/27/2011 I added some more details to make things pop...and also added some fixes, stuff that i missed...:/
So welcome all....So i came across this Dr. Pepper Contest, and I decided to give it a whirl...all the artwork on my submission were all drawn by myself, i did not use any photos and add a paint filter, like some others.
I drew everything by hand using a mouse. I do have wacom tablets but for some reason i was able to work faster with a mouse...(go figure)
A little bit about the artwork i just wanted to create a fun environment where people are enjoying being together and having a great time, while enjoying dr. pepper.
You may notice the people in the background have dr. pepper cans in their hands...lol So check out the design...and let me know what you think.... Thanks
