I always put a signature in my work, sometimes visible, sometimes not. So if you claim this work as your own, I can prove otherwise.
Can you guess what it is? My family said it was fireworks, or fires, but it was intended to be a sun (not necessarily ours) emitting solar flares, and then the waves of it travelling away from the sun.
This was created for deviantART's 11th birthday Skribble contest.
This is my submission for the competition. When I saw that the theme for the contest was "good versus evil" I immediately thought of heaven and hell imagery. I felt like it could be perfect for this theme is just a lot of fun to depict. I also wanted to incorporate the yin yang symbol because the symbolism and the challenges it would present in terms of coming up with a composition. Anyways I hope that everyone enjoys the piece.
My entry for Fella's Halloween Contest Dracula is one of my favorite movies. I know it's been redone a number of times, but I think my favorite one is the one with Béla Lugosi. I hope to do well in the contest but this was so fun to make, I'm happy either way!
So the ladybugs represent nature, purity, etc. - the Good. Then, the gas masks represent human kind, and what people do to nature: they need it to exist, but they are going to destroy it sooner or later. So it's the Evil. But there are also lots of other meanings. Feel free to interpret it your way.
I don't expect it to win anything, but I finally got an excuse to draw a ladybug in a gas mask. Be sure to check other entries, they are really awesome. *_*
First off, sorry for the lame title and I know, i suck painting clouds XD
I had soo many different ideas for the theme: Good vs Evil and i wish i could've done them all<3
I don't really know how I'm going to explain this pic, since I'm not that good with fancy words and how to but them together into a decent -enough- explaination. But hey, I'm going to damn try anyway XD
It's about having to leave the the quiet, serene place of your imagination someday and move on towards the harsh, evil world outside your bedroom window. This girl has to leave her childhood behind(the rubberball) and become an adult where everything ain't just fun and games. She goes without her umbrella, which - for me again - symbolizes protection and the security of what's familiar, to meet the new world and its challenges.
So the theme is a little well hidden in here somewhere XD The clear blue sparkly water is the ''Good'' side and the fiery sunset represents the ''Evil'' side. I know that for many that it would maybe be the other way around, but that just how I see it XD
I hope my little ramble wasn't a complete waste, but it was the best way I could explain it XD
This is my work space where I create all of my art. I spend here whole days and I'd like to see something more impressive in front of my eyes than just a boring white wall. First of all, I've chosen this print because it's colors go well with the place. Second, I like night cities, rain and futuristic art. The print contains all of them. Third and the last one, I'm just in love with this picture!
