Created with Photoshop around July 2010 in about 2 hours. Wanted to try something new when I took a picture of a log that looked pretty cool. That's the texture that I used for the planet. You can see its center around the bottom right of the planet. I think it look unrealistic but it's still nice in my opinion.
Created in early May 2010 using Photoshop CS2. Took about 2 hours. I had fun doing this. I wanted to try a few different things and for once not include a planet. Also wanted to add some white to try something new. Hope you like it!
He started with the basic planet texture and gave me some flames to work with. This is what I came up with. I then sent it back to him where he worked some more on it and submited it as our collab for the Attrius artpack. Here's the link to the artpack: [link]
Done in late May 2010 with PhotoShop CS2 in about 2 hours.
I was inspired by a bunch of space artists that kept making really subtle space scenes where there was almost no light except for at the light source. I also wanted to practice my sunrises and involve other colors than the classic blue so I added green.
Created on October 2nd, one of my latest pieces. I finally decided to use a more original texture. I realized that I had been using the same texture over and over again of one which is a picture I had taken of a wall in Santa Monica a year ago
So I experimented a bit. I noticed a few flaws such as too many stars, not enough atmosphere on the planet in the forefront and too saturated colors. But I still uploaded to see what you guys think of it. Feel free to give me any feedback!
Wow this dates back from October 2010! I haven't been able to upload it until now so here it is. It's one of my latest projects. Now that I got a new laptop and CS5 I'll be able to do some new things. Let me know what you think. I really think I can improve on this so yeah.
A quick horizon shot of a planet with a nebulae in the background. I started out with a nebulae that turned out not so badly, but the piece itself was a bit empty. So I added the planet. But it gave me a really hard time even though I like how it turned out.
After 3 hours of working on it I saved it. I thought I saved it in a psd file so I could work on it later but I saved it in a png file... Which means I couldn't fix any problems. One of those being the starfield that I didn't notice I messed up lol So I added a starfield on top of the piece. But now it's too crowded to my taste.
