Finally getting some stuff up from Saturday's SketchBomb. turned me on to some new supplies and now I don't have to do it digitally anymore. I used to just draw with a ballpoint pen on white paper and then have to apply a ton of shit in PS to make it mid-tone. Now I am using mid-tone paper, carmine red pencils, ballpoint pen, and white paint pen.
This page has 3 random heads and a certain street fighter.
So these aren't all from September. The Penguin is from the Chicago SketchBomb and the Shout head is from a couple weeks ago. But the rest is up to date! I didn't post some because they either weren't good enough or would have been a bitch to put together. Trust me... you're not missing anything.
We had a blast Saturday night. Tons of fun to be had. I'll post an update soon. The topics from Saturday that are in this are "villain of your design" and a "pirate cat" which are Dr. ScrewEyes and the Yeargh!-Cat respectively.
Finally got my sketches up from all the recent activity. What you're looking at was done at the first , Saturday's , and the Alternative Press Expo killing time at the booth with .
Since people always ask what the themes are/were at SketchBombs, I included them and I'll give a brief explanation. Every theme is meant to be interpreted however you wish. So if something is "Wings" it could be a winged apple or the cast of Wings. We like to keep it loose.
@ SketchBomb - Sacramento we did Looney Toons, Alien Design, Creepy Clown, and "What if Batman and Robin's backstories were switched?" Sadly, the last one isn't in this sheet because I gave it to Nu that night.
@ SketchBomb - San Francisco the themes were Halloween, Wings, Telescope, and Masks.
@ APE we asked a random person what to draw. He said a giraffe flying. That's where that comes from, hehe. The dude with the distorted head was from Nu and I trying to draw a face that was horribly distorted but not necessarily from something specific like a gun. And the chubby dude with all the hair was just random, hehe.
