You can just make out Squamish in the distance, and, just above it - Stawamus Chief - a giant gray granite rock formation, popular with BC hikers and climbers. The morning fog was hiding from the sun in the Squamish Valley.

The shot is taken at about 8:45 am with Nikon D90 and 18-105VR with a polarizing filter.

Download includes up to 2560x1600, and 2560x1440.

Garibaldi Lake in mid-October, Beautiful British Columbia. Not so brilliantly blue anymore (as in September) due to the lower sun, but certainly interesting with the fresh snow around. Download is 1920x1200.

The (not nearly enough) famous Battleship Islands at Garibaldi Lake, Beautiful British Columbia!

If you look at it right, and squint just enough, the trees and the reflection are supposed to look like a battleship. Check out another shot from the same location - Purity :)

Download includes up to 2560x1600, and 2560x1440. The photo is taken with Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm.

Richmond, BC. South arm of the Fraser river. The water had a bit of oil, as you can probably see. Somewhat unusual.

A nice ending to a warm and beautiful day. It looks much, much better as a wallpaper in full screen because I think it makes you feel like you are there enjoying the last sun rays. Download has resolutions up to 2560x1600, 2560x1440, and 1600x1200.

Taken with Nikon D90 + Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 DC @ f/8 ISO 320 and two Cokin P graduated neutral density filters here. Noise reduction + distortion correction + HDR techniques from a single jpeg exposure. Sister shot of -

Another awesome west coast sunset here in British Columbia! The body of water is the Fraser river, and the Georgia Straight. The mountain on the right is Cypress - where the 2010 Olympics were held in part.

Photo is a present for Eleni's 26th birthday. Live long and prosper.

Edit: reprocessed July 14 :) Check out the old version here - [link]
