People can be so concerned with keeping "undesirable" thoughts and opinions censored that they're often oblivious to everything else around them that should be blocked out. Rather than blanking out all of the evil surrounding her, or even her own nudity, her mind in being censored instead.
I don't understand why people think they're SEXY?! I mean... ugh... it just really bothers me. I mean I'm all for drawing things with no political meaning behind them but you CAN'T DRAW A NAZI AND SAY IT HAS NO REPRESENTATION OF YOUR IDEAS/BELIEFS. I don't understand how someone can just sit down and say "I'm gonna draw nazi yaoi today!!! Yay!" and not think that it will be offensive or have any political implications. As much as you want to think "OMG ART MEANS I CAN DRAW WHATEVER I WANT AN NOT HAVE TO THINK OF ANY IMPACTS" that's not the way it works. When you draw something and post it online it has messages that follow. STOP BEING STUPID.
Hey boys and girls! It's time for current events! YAY! (Don't worry, a new Dead Days is coming soon)
Alright, so the Collegian (the college newspaper I illustrate for) is back in full swing and this is the first piece of the new year.
Ya see, PRESIDENT BUSH (holds for applause... ha) wants to pass this new immigration policy in America that basically allows many illegal immigrants in the states to keep their jobs and not get deported back to Mex, thus allowing those workers to possibly apply for permanent residency and patching up relations with Mexico.
The Problem with that is that, the author of the piece wrote, is that it helps kill our economy! One of the reasons is because that something like $10 Billion is being sent OUT of the U.S. to the immigrants families back home each year! That's $10 Billion no longer in the U.S.
This was really a tough piece for me to do, because for years, my parents (and half my brothers and sisters) were illegal immigrants out of Mexico doing just that, and without that, my family wouldn't have eaten. So I sucked it up and stayed subjective without being cynical. I'm really happy with the piece. It's almost like a infographic! It's fun to do things with political cartoons other than one old guy in a suit talking to another old guy in a suit. Anyway, Thanks for reading!
P.S. Hee! Lookit Unki Sam fall! Hee!
To discriminate is to make a distinction. Discrimination means that we are not equals, that some of us are better than others. Discrimination is not right and it is not fair. Today, millions are still discriminated because of their social status, race, religion, sex, disabilities, ethnicity and age. Many of us still label people we don't know and make judgements based on stereotypes.
Will we ever truly live in a democratic system if some people are still rewarded not by their skills or by their abilities but because of who their father is or because of what they look like? Discrimination is a crime. Don't make assumptions about people you never really took the time to get to know.
Following the success of Keep Britain tidy it was a natural progression to produce this - there is a worldwide problem with Nazism and it needs to stop.
These people are ignorant, hateful, bigoted and totally utterly wrong - at no point should there be division among our whole planet - we are all people, we have just as much value as each other whether we are company directors or beggars on the street.
Throughout human history, of all the inspirations for acts of brutality from one man unto another, from one nation unto another, from one oppressor unto the oppressed, there is no more guilty party than the book known as the Holy Bible.
And now you followers, you sheep, you "lambs of God," do as you have been papally programmed by your Führer, and attack me with all the maliciousness you can muster. Nail me to your Savior's cross, throw me into your gas chamber, unleash your Inquisitors against me, crusade against me as you have crusaded against all other Unbelievers; I refuse to fall.
Your ungodly righteous fury will only strengthen my resolve. You will violate your Lord's own words as quoted by your own Book when you decry me, when you cast me down, and your hypocrisy will echo in your words, and you will be the ones called to judgment (Matthew 5.22, 5.39).
God is not within some celestial tower, over-looking mankind with one half-closed apathetic eye; He is gone, remaining only within the intelligence and love hiding deep inside of those made in His image.
Do not follow blindly those who may lead you into damnation, as so many have done before you. Trust in yourself and your own judgment, not in the judgment of those who speak His words with a forked tongue, or write it with childishly crossed fingers.
