The old spirit glanced down to the churring water below him while his 'Mistress' (he often used that term loosely) absently scratched her head. "Any particular ideas on where we are to go?"
"HAHAHAHA! OF COURSE! Um. Uh." She pauses, then started giggling again. "Maybe we should go that way!"
He simply sighed. She was water-melding again without realizing it, apparently. "Next time, Mizu-chan, do not ask directions from perverted toad hermits that are more interested in your garters."
My submission for the Create a Nin contest. Here's her description.
This scatterbrained female ninja is very short and has a wasp-waisted build. Her hooded eyes are emerald. She has curly, shoulder-length, mauve hair worn in a precise style. Her outfits are sexy and include a set of shinguards. Her preferred weapon is a sword (which has the soul of a great ninja inside of it). She is skilled in impersonation and breakfall. She can pass through and merge with water.
I'll refrain from artistic commentary, for it will run along the lines of OMG THIS SUCKS, but way more articulate.
Most imaginative title ever.
My entry for *The-Z's random ninja contest. Basically you just grab a description from a generator and then try to draw it.
Here's what I got: This opinionated female ninja is very short and has a muscular build. Her slanted eyes are green. She has straight, neck-length, gray hair. Her plain outfits are usually yellow and include a belt with many pouches. She uses a straightforward form of martial arts that emphasizes dodges. Her preferred weapon is a club. She is skilled in disguise. She can summon a dog-ghost.
What appealed to me in this description (okay, apart from the ghost-doggy, wiseguy) was its inconsistency. I mean, plain outfits, relatively short hair, straighforward... to me all that commnicates a no-nonsense tomboy-type personality, but yet she prefers wearing yellow. And her fighting technique emphasizes dodges, i.e. staying away from your opponent, but a club is very much a contact-weapon.
And with the doggy I took some major artistic liberties by basing him on a british ghost dog barghest. Don't ask me how he ended up in Japan, it just felt fitting. The kanji at the back is the pup's name, Gen'ei, meaning 'phantom', 'vision' or 'illusion'.
This was created for *The-Z's Create-a-Nin Super Ninja contest. Here was the description I got:
This elegant ninja is short and has a graceful build. His hooded eyes are teal. He has cherry red hair worn in an impractical style. His outfits are usually umber and include sandals. He uses an artistic form of martial arts that emphasizes dives. His preferred weapon is a knife (which is made out of human body parts). He is skilled in astronomy and gossip. He can summon and take on the traits of spider-ghosts.
This has been a really fun project that allowed me to think outside the box.
Ah, yes. I'm not dead yet! In fact, I may just go take a walk.
Monty Python references aside, it took a contest run by a friend of mine to get me to get the ol' wacom out n' draw. However, I decided to really go the distance here, which means that A. I focused a half a month over details and getting references, then realize that the background is wonky, and B. stuff's too stiff. It is an eternal battle, digital painting.
Alright. Here's the gist of the contest here: [link] Basically? You grab a random desc from the make-a-ninja generator, and draw that nin. As simple as that. My description is here:
This contemplative female ninja is tall and has an elegant build. She is missing her right arm. Her large eyes are pine-green. She has straight olive-green hair. Her severe outfits are usually gray and include a belt with many pouches. She uses an artistic form of martial arts that emphasizes duplicating the moves of one's opponent and using kicks. Her preferred weapon is a garotte. She is skilled in mimicry, astronomy, and climbing. She uses her weapon to produce shockwaves.
I'm not sure if I'll get any points for exact accuracy, but it's an actual background and a more realistic rendering style. However, I wasn't sure if it fit more in the fantasy category or the anime category, as there were some stylistic nuances that seem to lend themselves to anime, but I guess it's up for debate.
My lovely one-armed nin shall squat in the anime section for now. She may ninja away to the fantasy gallery later, however, if someone recommends it.
Finished portrait of Broken Star, my Twilight-exalted firegunner. Complete with omgLIGHTING, and like...stuff...
Hey, don't laugh, multiple light sources are hard for me. -_-
His cloak is a) not /that/ torn up, and b) charcoal colored, but as for 'a', I claim artistic license, and 'b', the picture looked far too damn gray without the color in it.
He's such a cocky, smug bastard. I love him.
(And yes, he scars silver. He's a god-blood.)
One day in 2542AD, an intergalactic spaceship was travelling in space with fuel and food running out. They had to find a planet to land on. But the navigtor onboard the spaceship was a bit of an @$$h0I( , he landed the spaceship on a planet with weird sharp terrain, and the planet rotates so fast that its hills are bent, and the spaceship was damaged when it hit those hills, and they could take off the planet again. tehy were d00med! they all used bad words to scold the navigator . They were hoping against hope that some space ship would come and rescue them
P.s hope u likes the deviation as well as the story, btw, generating overhang is no big deal . I dont know why some software promotes their software using 'overhang capability' as something cool? Even terragen can render overhang, if at all anyone is interested I can tell u how to do it, but u will have to give me some time too
Entery for Seventh Sanctum Magical Girl/Knight contest ^^
Here's the description:
~This humorous magical girl's narrow eyes are the color of smoke. Her waist-length, straight, silky hair is the color of the evening sky, and is worn in an odd style. She has a very feminine build. She has avian powers that are invoked by concentration. Her uniform is black and red, looks like a fusion of a princess' royal outfit and a barbarian queen's leathers, and it includes a pair of wings.~
I named her Luyu, a name that suits her if you know it's meaning. I'm fairly happy with the background but wish I could have done more; but I'm running out of time. (It's been pretty nerve-racking today; lots of computer problems and paintshop crap =_= ) Hope you like.... I'm tired.
I tried to draw the so OMG look Zero ( from D'espairs Ray) had last week at the live at the Trabendo but I really realized it was such an....an.....amazingly deep and eye catching and HOT HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT look that I really haven't been able to draw it here.........Damn......it was such a HOT look......
I wish I could keep a memory of it but....
He had this hairstyle, no make up, like this moreorless
Photoshop CS......started with no ref, but one at the end, to compare and try to fix...:/...Hours ?!...6hours or so....dunno
Yay Wild Arms Alter Code F!! I'm so glad it's coming out soon. I loved WA, and I always have (although WA3 is probably my least favorite...), and the one thing that kept it from being way at the top of my list was the old graphics. Mind you, they couldn't help it or anything, BUT. Lo, it has been reborn!
Jack Van Burace was my favorite char from the first game. This is more how he looked in the first one than the new one, though, since I feel like the new one looks way too young for how he's portrayed in the game (albeit I don't know what changes have been made, if any, in ACF...)
Jack has teh_sexxeh_hair too. And a flying blue hamster. Thingy.
Hanpan gave me -fits-. He's still not right, but... close enough.
