Such a fragile, feathered soul
That trembles with a touch.
And yet, though worn, has weathered all;
Has faced and endured much.
What keeps the soul so tethered now?
It has not blown away
Despite its tattered, feathered bow.
'Tis hope that makes it stay.

All i can do is keep breathingThe storm is closer but I don't mindAll i can do is keep breathing5 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
People keep dieing around but I close my eyes and
All Ican do is keep breathing
And dreaming of you
The hair falls, the skin wrinkles
But I smile and keep breathing
I close my eyes and I see a child smile
And I keep breathing
I want to change the world
Instead I sleep
I want to see the world
Instead I'm in an hospital bed
But all that I know is that I'm breathing
All that I do is keep breathing
My pain is so deep
My body hurts so much
But all I can do is keep dreaming
I'm drowning in shallow water
And I struggle to get out
Then I close my eyes and I see my self breathing
And i keep breathing
The pink colours make me smile
So you paint the house pink for me
And I come home after another day of pain
And dance around
All I can do is keep breathing
All I can do is keep dreaming
All I can do is keep hoping
All i can do is keep sleeping, now

That sweet tune began to flow, filling every void and hole, and my feet began to gravitate closer to yours.Ribbon Syncopation5 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Every sympathetic beat pounds into my head, moving me into a dance parallel to yours. My lungs stop breathing, and for a moment my world starts ending. And then you take the lead.
A superhero of sorts: taking a ribbon for a cape and flying on waves of radiation. You lead my pirouette, pointing sore bones through days and nights. It starts slowly, taking over time. Every tear wiped into a sea of mixed emotions, of memorials and joys and celebrations.
A light you set takes over, convulsing with every move you make. The fight we've watched you wage is a dance you lead, a dance you've been forced to choreograph.
The words singing out of your mouth enrapture and consume
