When darkness falls, I slip under the fence, into the silent trees as I have often done; this time, though, it is vitally important that no one spots me.
It takes several minutes before I reach the spot, my footfalls soundless and smooth on the forest floor. I shudder, remembering all the horrible things that happened to me in the woods in the Arena. Even nowthough I know Im homeI cannot dismiss the terrible feeling that at any moment an attack could surprise me; I doubt Ill ever be so easy-going about travelling though the forest again.
There he is, just as I knew he would beseated on a rock, staring up at the moonlight filtering through the branches. He turnshis keen senses picking up my whispering boots.
Neither of us says anything, staring at each other across the distance. Finally, I close it, sinking down to the earth beside him. We sit in silence for a while longer, sinking back into our old, familiar trust of one a

So camping out here in the Capitol with our team only losing one soldier in days, you can see how someone who's been to the arena twice would start to feel like something bad is coming.
It's unlikely that Katniss or Peetathe only others here with intimate knowledge of how these arenas workhave any idea. Probably she's too preoccupied with him, while he's too busy being crazy. It's funny because Jackson didn't want to put Katniss in the rotation because she knows that Katniss would never be able to kill that boy. But they all seem to have forgotten that I've already risked my life to save him. Okay, so maybe I wouldn't exactly risk my life for him now, but I doubt I could ever kill Peeta. One day Katni

SPOILER WARNING! DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED MOCKINGJAY! I REPEAT, DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED MOCKINGJAY!
I wrote this about 10 minutes after I finished the book Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
The following is my thoughts on the book.
The beginning was promising, the middle was epically amazing, the beginning of the end was sad but not unsurprising, and the end of the end was weirdly satisfying in a way that only Suzanne Collins can pull off.
Was I satisfied in general? Knowing that I read the Hunger Games and Catching Fire each within a months of their release and have waited nearly two years for a conclusion to the trilogy, that's an excellent question.
I suppose, yes, it was worth the wait. But only just.
But, to be honest, Mockingjay is, now that I ponder it, my least favorite of the three books. The Hunger Games is my most f

She passes right by my family and I and went straight for the Capitol's sex god for comfort. He gave her his rope he's been playing with and they just sat there, her tying knots, him watching, while I just stared from afar, crushed she hadn't sought me out.
I'll never compete with anyone that's been in the Games. I'll never understand their bond because I really, truly don't understand. There's a huge difference between watching them on a television screen and experiencing it. Being in that dumb arena changes you. And anyone who survives that horror is connected automatically. I cannot compete with that! Never!
The only time I ever get her attention is when I'm hurt. I tested out that theory a few days ago. Though the tears that came out of it weren't fake. I have never let myself do that in front of her. I've always tried to remain strong, but it's so hard lately.

As I was walking down the road with Gale, a question crossed my mind. This question had been on my mind for quite sometime now. I just had no idea what to do about it.
Was I falling in love?
I don't even think I knew who it was with. Gale? Peeta? Stupid, stupid love. What does it have to be so complicated and hard?
With Gale, well I've known him forever. We've never had secrets between us, ever. But now Peeta coming in the picture and Gale's not going to like it, not at all; are even they friends? No. They come from different worlds. I told myself.

"I have to go!" Elle insisted.
"I don't know what's happening, but you and I should take this opportunity to run. Which ever side is alive will surely come after us."
Elle clenched her hands into fists and grit her teeth.
"Please, it's not worth it," Viola said gently and loosened her grip. "Let's go, together."
"I can't !" Elle tugged her arm out of Viola's grasp and took off towards the epicenter of destruction.

"You're completely mental," Viola smiled as she rode up next to Elle atop Leadbury.
"You're coming with me?"

Top Ten: Why Twilight sucks.1.Stephanie Meyer can't write. And I'm not saying that because of what Stephen King said. I don't care what Stephen King said. Let's recap, shall we? She uses the same words such as "icy", "cold", "marble" and "his beautiful face" over and over. She describes Edward in extremely unnecessary detail. Honestly, if she took out all those descriptions of Edward, the whole Twilight "saga" would fit into one book. She includes totally useless information that NO ONE (except for maybe the crazy fan girls) cares about. I don't give a damn if Bella rode to Forks with her mom's car windows rolled down! Really, I don't. Also, this so-called-saga has no real plot to it whatsoever. And no, romance does not count as a "plot." Romance is a genre. A genre which involves a plot. It has no real characterization either. Sure, Bella may turn into a vampire, but did she really learn any life lessons, or become a better person because of her experiences? Of course not! Elle and Mias: Chapter 43The cold dawn was ushered in by a strong northern wind echoing through the frozen mountains. Its howl rattled the windows of Fionos' bedchamber where the young Stag had convinced Elle to stay for the night. The sound of the approaching blizzard stirred Elle from her sleep and she slowly turned her head to the window. It was snowing, not really a surprising weather event given the region, but the size of the flakes made it look like someone had torn open a bag of white feathers.Elle and Mias: Chapter 433 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
She yawned and pulled herself upright. She sat for a few moments as her eyes and mind came into focus. She remembered locking Elias in him room and informing one of the guards of the situation before heading to Fionos' room. Poor thing didn't have any more tears to shed, so he just sought comfort in her arms until he fell asleep. Elle didn't have the heart to leave him and so she stayed with him to make sure he'd be alright.
She looked down at the sleeping fawn and smoothed back the hair on his head.

"That's right, Shawn! Now tell me something else," Henry lowered himself to Shawn's eye-level, "why's the box empty?" Shawn slowly raised his eyes and looked at his father, a nervous look on his face.

"It only looks that way," Hilda said. "During the summer months the layers of ice melt away and you'll see it's all white marble. Of course our summers are so very brief that by the time everything melts, it's snowing again."
"The royal family of Noric tends to build into the mountains because it's easy to camouflage, and the Aquila need to roost at high elevations," Fionos explained.
"Wouldn't eggs freeze at higher elevations?" Elle asked ignorantly.
"You're birds, so you lay eggs, right?"

The other was seemingly angsty with gold eyes that changed to black. His skin was as pale as snow and his hair was a bronze color.
