Eric Cole ran as his ex-girlfriend, Misty, screamed though the hallway, "I'm gonna blast your balls off!"
When he responded to heavy knocks on the front door of his apartment, it may have appeared she was leveling a handgun at him. But the colorful, purple handle gave away the true nature of her weapon.
He had no idea how he dodged the first blast of light and energy. Instinctively, he pushed the door in her face but her legs were already through and nothing would keep her out.
After the hallway and the threat still ringing in his ears, Eric sprinted into the living room and grabbed the mirror off the wall. It was tall and narrow and made for a decent shield.
Misty stalked around the corner, her colorful gun leading. Her black hair seemed darker than usual with tendrils that splayed across her forehead like spider legs. While a head shorter than him, Eric knew never to underestimate Misty with how much time she spent kickboxing in the gym.
In fact, with the shine of swea

"I don't know why your dad bought you something like that," grinned Alice, sending shudders up and down his spine as she pressed her breasts against his back. Her hands slipped around him, seeming unconcerned by her close contact with him as she fingered the material. "It's so rough So tough. Sooo ."
"Butch?" he offered, eying the jagged sleeves with distaste. He wondered if they'd actually had someone rip them off, or just thrown it into a blender and sold the finished result. Considering the sand paper quality of the cloth, he wasn't sure he wanted to know.
He felt her nodding against him, breasts rubbing up and down her back as she moved. He wondered if she knew how crazy it was driving him, before realizing that she probably just didn't care. She was the one who ke

"Oh, you know," she shrugged, smiling a little back as she draped her arm around him, steering him down the street as they walked away from her house. James sighed, his face pressed against the table at the hamburger place. "She said I was too self-centered."
Brad patted James on the back, softly at first, then vigorously to make up for it. "Hey, don't let it get to you. We'll make some drinks at your place and then we'll play your entire collection of Queen and sing along to it till five in the morning."
James turned his face against the cool table but he couldn't find the strength to lift his cheek from it. "But Heather and I were going so great "
Brad scoffed. "You fought all the time." Brad didn't add that Heather had once told him she really liked girls more than guys and always wished she'd been born a male. He figured that would just make James fall even deeper into depression.
James glanced at the desolate glossiness of the table and puffed a bit of air at a massive chunk of straw cover scrap. It didn't even flutter it. Brad flicked the little thing away and added, "You're better off without h

"Mr. Gardener? I am the representative from Nuhaizi Global. A pleasure to meet you."
I looked up from my desk at the young, Chinese woman who stood in the doorway of my office. She had long, perfectly-black hair which fell in a seamless curtain on her neck. Her suit was lean and black as well, with only the even collar edges of a light-red top showing at her neck. Her expression was neither inviting nor abrasive. It looked clinical. Her eyes avoided mine and her voice was without accent.
I stood from my chair and reached out my hand to her. She took it calmly with a sedate shake and a slight bow. I gestured to the chair in front of my desk. Before sitting, she reached into a pocket, retrieved an immaculate business card, and handed it to me.
The card gave her name as "Miss Lin Xiumei" on one side and in Chinese on the opposite. The Nuhaizi logo and name was right after that, followed by "International Representative in Matters of Legal Concern" and "Fluent in English, C

I finally got home from my new job after an hour of different buses.
After kicking off my shoes and cracking my back, I set my bags on the kitchen table. I heated up some day-old pasta with cheddar chunks melted in a bowl for supper and slid my laptop out of its bag after I'd had a few bites.
I thought for a moment on the third bus that I'd lost my laptop but it had just slid a ways underneath. As soon as I moved to open my laptop, I paused and rubbed my hands over the top. It felt different. I had a flash of prickly terror where I feared that I'd accidentally swapped laptops with someone else. Turning it on, I got a sudden zap of static electricity from the keyboard. I had a moment of strange wooziness but it soon passed.
My heart raced and thoughts of how screwed I might be swelled through my head. But all the fear went away when my wallpaper was there and everything was in the right place.
Easing back in my chair, I made sure to backup my work files to the flash

I groaned and blinked my eyes open as best I could. Still, I could barely see anything.
My throat felt like it had been washed with that junk dentists used to clean teeth. And I felt like my arms were locked in place as though by a rigid, tucked bed sheet. That got me blinking even more and fussing about.
Though my ears felt like they had plugs in them, I could still hear a hiss and crunch of some great machine running in the background.
Slowly, my vision returned and I looked around. I was secured to a place on a conveyor belt and I wasn't the only one. Countless men, just like me, were on the conveyor belt as well. Most had their heads down and appeared unconscious. Some were fussing about. A few were gagged but still trying to say something.
The areas around the conveyor belt were dark and mechanized. Bits turned and whirred, blowing off steam or belching water down drains.
My wrists were behind me and felt numb due to tension. I fussed with them
School friends TGJohn dragged his heels as he walked through the school gate. It was his first day at this school, his parents having recently moved to the area due to their jobs, and he didn't know anyone, nor was he any good at making friends anyway, so he expected that he'd end up as a social outcast in the hierarchy of the playground. Not that he cared that much he was far more interested in studying or sitting in a quiet corner reading a good book than he was in kicking a ball around the yard or gossiping about his classmates, or whatever it was that 'regular' kids did a break time.School friends TG4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Even though I was a guy, the day I started growing breasts was a pretty normal day. I didn't have any strange sensation or weird itches or anything like that. I did have a dream which felt quite vivid overnight but which left me when I woke.
I walked into bathroom, trying to pull some of the seemingly-fantastic detail out of the haze of my thoughts, and slipped off my shirt.
Cracking my neck a few times, I glanced in the mirror. The area around my nipples was pressed out a little bit. Nothing too serious but, considering I was used to heavy-lifting at work and my muscles had adapted to that, it did surprise me.
I thought that perhaps I was eating a bit too much and something like a junior version of my Uncle Brad's 'moobs' were starting to show. And I didn't think any more of it at the time except to remind myself to eat a little less and exercise more.
The rest of that week was loaded with veggies and sit-ups. My best friend Adam came over a few times and chee

After some mild cursing and coughing from within, the door slid up. Terica had on her regular lab coat with the words above the pocket protector, "Doctor Terica Snorf Mad Scientist". Her long, frizzy brunette hair gave off a puff of smoke just behind her ear. She patted it out with her blue-gloved hands and mentioned, "Some things are a bit more flammable than they say..."

He clenched his head for a couple of seconds until the pain subsided to manageable, before sending his fingers through his short black hair. Locker Room - TGI peeked into the girl's locker room, swallowing my fear when I saw that it was empty, and cautiously making my way inside. My friends were never going to forgive me if they found I was down there.
