Sonic the Hedgehog was never meant to be an anime in the 90s. It was supposed to be more in line with a cartoon like Mickey Mouse, Felix the Cat, Looney Tunes, etc. etc. and the fact of the matter is that while cartoon humans are quite rarely censored (depending on the artist and the content) but with anthropomorphic animals are quite easy to play with in terms of character design. Animals in real life are naked, so why do we have complaints about a cartoon animal character not wearing any clothes?
EXAMPLES of Female Anthro nudity:
Minnie Mouse. She didn't wear a top until later in the industry! ... only to lose it again later on.
Daisy Duck. She gets away without wearing PANTS.
Toodles Galore. Tom and Jerry character. All she wears is a pink ribbon.
So what is wrong with this?
My point is. The clothes on most cartoon animals are just decoration. THEY DON'T
