Friday Feature!! :D [Delayed]Well, like I said a week+ ago, I had my final project review this Friday.Friday Feature!! :D [Delayed]4 years ago in Personal More Like This
And I aced it !! Graduation complete. I'm officially an I.T. engineer now [and everything that entails].
Anyway, my plan was to get back that evening and make a quick feature, but the things were way too energetic and exciting to actually let me do anything but run around screaming and having fun.
That. Spent a crazy weekend. And I'm never drinking again. This time for good... I hope.

Update from DD-Catalogue FounderDear All,Update from DD-Catalogue Founder2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Thank you for 'watching' DD-Catalogue, and for all your support over the last 4 years. You may have noticed that the group has recently lost super group status. I'd like to apologise for the disruption this has caused to our Gallery and homepage. I'd also like to apologise for the lack of updates and features recently. I have neglected the group somewhat during my university study.
...but I'm planning a revamp to make it better than ever!
I would appreciate it if you could give me some feedback in the comments on some of the following:
What do you like most about DD-Catalogue?
What would you like to see from DD-Catalogue? (features/interviews/polls ??)
Would you donate a small amount towards Super Group status?
Would you like to be on the admin team?
Thanks for reading,
Add this Journal to your 'favourites' if we have your support in bringing DD-Catalogue back to life!

The Art Feature 14.1Happy new year everyone! The Art Feature 14.12 years ago in Personal More Like This
Hope you've had a fabulous start of 2014. I have a feeling that this year will be full of stunning artworks and I'm looking forward to discovering & introducing them to you. Some of you might have noticed the change of title to my art feature - feels more mature now that way. Hope you don't mind!
What's new for me?
I'm so happy to be able to tell you that I have upgraded from my Canon EOS 400D to a Canon EOS 700D/T5i. With that wonderful DLSR I will be able to provide you with a bigger resolution of textures than before. I will have way more possibilities plus I am saving up for a few different lenses to go with my new camera. At the moment I am still uploading photos I have taken with my old cam, just to use up all the old stash. But all in all, exciting times lie ahead of me. Hope you're just as excited about that as I am!

There's not too much new with me, just reacting to DA's "upgrades" and lamenting the approach of what will be a very busy November (friend's wedding in Seattle and California trip for Thanksgiving).

So last Tuesday my chest was bugging me. Not that it was covered in ants, but something was not right. I got my hands on the new God of War game, and I could not have been any giddier. So the morning of Wednesday I woke up, and there was something clearly wrong. My chest felt like an elephant was tea-bagging it. So I went to the local hospital. And they instantly suck a pint of blood from me and give me nitro pills. The nurse man says to put it under my tongue. I say "Isn't that how people take LSD?" I never got an answer. I kept having chest pain so the doctor gave me two more. I thought I was going to over dose and become addicted to those things. Who knows, I might be in your basement smelly, red eyes, asking for a hit of nitroglycerin.
So the doctor comes by and says "Well..." which is translated to "Your completely screwed." And says that there is some evidence that I had a heart attack. I was like a stereotypical Afr

Based on a basis of a true story. There once was a duck. This duck was no ordinary duck. It was a duck that was an actual duck. So the duck, one day, decided to score some blow. So he went to the market and asked the nice old man at the cash register, "Hey fag, got some angel dust?" The nice old man said, "I'm sorry I have no blow, you should not be asking that, it's time for you to go." So the duck went off.Based on a basis of a true story.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The duck thought to himself, "How come that nice old man was such a jerk, where else can I find some blow." Then he thought, "Obviously, a convenient store with gas pumps. They must sell blow." So the duck went to the nearest convenient store with gas pumps. So the duck made it to a convenient store with gas pumps and walked in. The duck asked the nice African American lady at the register, "Sup slut, can a subspecies of waterfowl land himself in a pile of gutter glitter?" The nice African American lady said, "Uh you better get out of here, I hate this job, I need to find a better carer." So the duck took hi

So I got a new computer, and whats a new computer without problems. Lol. The power supply fan clicks like crazy when I play certain games. The company I bought it from (ibuypower) is going to send me a new one for free and I am going to replace it. So it's all cool. At least I can still draw. And it is still a bad ass computer no doubt.
If you are planning to buy a gaming computer DO NOT buy one from Alienware. Either do ibuypower.com or cyberpower.com. There you can customize you very own computer. It is WAY cheaper than an alienware. Seriously you can't even argue with me. I compared. I made each build with the closest specs and the Alienware was $950 more expensive. Plus you can have a cool looking case and with an additional $15-$30 you can even light the inside up. I have seen alot of 3D graphic artists on deviant art, and they can get a computer with a graphics card. There is a difference- Video card: Gaming, G

The Image, Part 1
Not too long ago I started working on some drawings in which I needed to draw water, mountains, and trees in ink. For example, in Fairy Tales I tackled both up-close and mid-distance forest and trees. In Knotwork in the Skye mountains and water were the problem of the day.
While I'm not completely happy with the results, I thought I'd share some of the drawings by Osamu Tezuka that I referred to several times to try to work out doing nature with ink. All three of the main pictures I'm showing here are from his Buddha series. The one above is from Volume 8, the last one. Now, when I look at that I'd call it fairly realisti
Borderline Personality DisorderPeople with BPD often have an unstable sense of who they are. That is, their self-image or sense of self often rapidly changes. They typically view themselves as evil or bad, and sometimes they may feel as if they don't exist at all. This unstable self-image can lead to frequent changes in jobs, friendships, goals, values and gender identity.Borderline Personality Disorder4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Relationships are usually in turmoil. People with BPD often experience a love-hate relationship with others. They may idealize someone one moment and then abruptly and dramatically shift to fury and hate over perceived slights or even misunderstandings. This is because people with the disorder have difficulty accepting gray areas things are either black or white. For instance, in the eyes of a person with BPD, someone is either good or evil. And that same person may be good one day and evil the next.
In addition, people with BPD often engage in impulsive and risky behavior. This behavior often winds up hurting them, whether emotionally, fin

Art Analysis #10: Dance by Alphonse MuchaBy Alphonse MuchaArt Analysis #10: Dance by Alphonse Mucha6 years ago in Personal More Like This
This analysis copyright Scott M. McDaniel, 2009.
I ended up last week by saying I'd do a Maxfield Parrish piece this time, but I lied horribly. The Parrish piece I'd picked is Daybreak, one of his most popular and well known. It's based on the principles of Dynamic Symmetry. I need some more time to work through that, so I'll do it three weeks from now. Instead, I'm going to do Dance by Alphonse Mucha. It's part of a series of four panneaux based on the muses (some of them, anyway). Aside from Dance, there are (from left to right) Poetry, Music, and Painting. This Art Nouveau style may have come before the term "pinup," but hey, these are pinups.
You can see the common layout and circular frame motif. I'll concentrate on Dance, but keep in mind that they're a set designed to be displayed together in a room. Mucha was one of the first t
What is Anthro?Too many people has the wrong idea about what does "Anthro" mean... even before deviantART created a whole gallery devoted to this special kind of art, there are still too many doubts about this category, and maybe that explains many of the mistakes when uploading pictures, images or drawings to our section. What is Anthro?8 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Even when I was still not the Anthro Gallery Director , I tried to explain this concept in a journal entry but couldn't manage to make it clear, and now I think it's the perfect chance for a new attempt. ^___^ To start with, let's take a look at two definitions that may help us.
Anthro: a synonym for anthropomorphism in the furry fandom.
Anthropomorphism is the attribution of uniquely human characteristics and qualities to nonhuman beings, inanimate objects, or natural or supernatural phenomena (...)
Anthro Art and may be any fictional work that employs the concept of animal characters with human charac
