In a flash of diamonds, I appeared distraught and defeated before my hero. Surprised at first but sensing my mood he sat on the edge of his bed and patted beside himself; I assumed he was inviting me to sit. Letting my body slump down onto the bed mere inches from Link I just looked into his eyes. Sadness was prevalent in my own. A deep sigh belonging to me fills the atmosphere as I'm not ready to even tell this boy of my failure today. It's just not in the nature of a demon lord to lose. Sulking I lean toward my company and gently lay my head on his shoulder. Looking down at my crippled form and hurt pride Link places his arms around me in comfort. I've never felt anything like this. The sympathy of others is normally not something I would enjoy indulging in, but this is different. Maybe my strong feelings for the sky child are what makes this so soothing; regardless I can honestly say I'm glad he is here with me.
Raising my arms to return his squeeze I see a flinch pass over his feat

The fact that Link wasn't spilling to Midna on who he was dating was killing the Queen of the Twili, sure the kid didnt speak about that stuff usually but there had to have been someone she knew that Link had an eye for! None of the clues she'd seen had made sense, a desert smell in the guest room, large clothing, and this man was so different Link couldn't tell her. Well, it was almost eleven, Midna knew she really should have been sleeping, and thinking about this mystery boyfriend wasn't going to help herself in any way. She shut her eyes, only to snap them back open as she heard a loud growl from Link's room through the thin walls. She could hear Link speaking, only able to make out his voice.
'Could you please go to your human form so I can apologize thoroughly?' She heard Link say, there was a loud pu
Only a shadow? The silent darkness of the night was torn asunder as the creatures erupted from the bushes, a slathering horde of tusked monsters, armed with bone spears and vicious clubs. They were on him in seconds, pulling him to the ground and tearing through the chinks in his armour, striking at his neck before he could even think about fighting back. His vision blurred, and as the pain began to fade, he felt the blackness envelop his mind, and everything was silent once again.Only a shadow?4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

"Well, that was unfortunate, wasn't it? I mean, we should have seen that coming." Opening his eyes a crack, Shadow was greeted by the sight of a vortex of black and red, no sign of the forest, or the creatures, only a constantly shifting eternity of colour.
"What?" Glancing around, eyes wide open now; he caught sight of the owner of the voice, a jet black dragon, with a face about as long as he was tall, covered in silver blades and red stripes. He yelped and tried to retreat, but that's quite a difficult thing to do

"What's wrong Bryan?" Renamon woke with a jolt upon hearing Bryan sputtering.
"I got some of your mane fur in my mouth again," Bryan admitted sheepishly.
Renamon tapped the tip of his nose with one of her fingers. "You silly little boy. I told you, my breasts need some breathing room. You can't just go shoving your face in there whenever you want."
Bryan blushed. Renamon knew just how to get to him. Renamon gave him a little sultry smile. "I didn't say I didn't like it." With that, she proceeded to hug Bryan tight, putting his face in the exact same predicament as before.
Renamon pulled Bryan's head out, letting him have his precious air. "Christmas is tomorrow isn't it?"
Bryan nodded. "Yep. Sure is."
Renamon walked her fingers up Byran's chest to his collarbone. "Any chance of me getting my present early?"
"Nice try Renamon." Bryan stole a kiss from her. "There's your present. Happy?" He smiled. She knew he was just joking with her.
Renamon purred. "I think it'll do for now.

Neville was glad he had a break in his classes after Defense Against the Dark Arts, because if he had had to go to Charms right after, he would have broken like a reed snapped by a strong wind. He should have used his break to do homework, but instead he always went to the greenhouses, even though they were clear across the castle. He needed to smell green life, needed to do something he wasn't complete bollocks at.
Today had been particularly bad. Neville had always thought part of the reason he hated Professor Snape so much was because of the dungeons, which always reeked of mold and damp. But, no, he was just as terrifying in a normal classroom. Maybe worse, because at least in Potions Neville had something to do to keep his hands busy, and everyone else had always been too busy doing their own work to pay attention to him. In Defense Against the Dark Arts, he could only sit there and think, I know I read about that. What did I re

Streaks of bright, white light breaking over the far-off horizon signaled the rising of a new sun and the beginning of a new day. The beams of sunlight cut through the dense fog of the chilly early morning like a knife through butter. The thin, wispy accumulation of water droplets began to melt away under the onslaught of energy from the newly-risen light source. The vapor gradually returned to its usual invisible form in the early morning light, revealing another clear sky, set to greet the earliest of risers with its wide open vistas of chilled air.
Light, no longer impeded by the wispy fog, now freely found its way to spread across the landscape, falling across building, tree, and mountain alike and bathing them all in the first wondrous illumination of a new day. Striking the frosty panes of a glass window, a beacon shone into the bedroom of a cozy farmhouse a bedroom where two ponies slept peacefully in each other's warm embrace. Kwanzaa is a festival that lasts from December 26th to January 1st, which celebrates Africa and all things African.
It was first initiated by Dr. Maulana Karenga, a professor of Black Studies at CSU, Long Beach, in 1966, during the heady days of the Civil Rights Movement. Karenga did several studies on African festivals and celebrations, as he had noticed that there was a dearth of cultural celebrations for the African-American community. In his studies, he noticed that most annual celebrations among most sub-Saharan African ethnicities are what are often termed "first fruits" celebrations, or celebrations of the year's harvest.
In these types of festivals, the harvest is gathered after a year of planting and growth, and then the first and foremost of this harvest are dedicated to the ancestors of the particular village or community, before, of course, all of the living then celebrate the good things which have happened within the past year since the last first fruits festival.

Just as Sirius was about to hurry back to Gryffindor tower to retrieve the Map, he saw the branches on the Whomping Willow freeze and then Pomfrey hurried back to the Great Hall.

Severus reluctantly opened his eyes. At first he couldn't see anything at all because of the blinding white light that seemed to be all around him. He felt that he was lying on his back, completely naked. He also felt some sort of firm ground underneath him, even though he couldn't see it.
At first he didn't remember anything. He didn't have any idea where he was or how he had ended up there.
He closed his eyes again and tried to clear his mind. Then suddenly he remembered! His hand hastily grasped at his neck, feeling, searching for a wound, a mark, something. But there was nothing. Absolutely nothing indicated the snake bite that he clearly remembered had caused him so much pain.
He gasped and sat up with a jerk as he suddenly remembered something more: The boy!
He stood up. He had to find out where he was and what had happened.
He still couldn't see anything but white light in all directions, so he just started running in a random direction. While he was running he remem

Sirius followed Madam Pomfrey to the closed curtains that were surrounding Remus' bed and watched as she continued on her way to her office. Once the door was closed behind her, he stuck his head inside.
Remus' eyes were closed as he laid on the hospital bed. He was propped up by a few extra pillows so he was in a half-sitting position. As Sirius got closer to the bed, Remus shifted slightly then opened his eyes slowly. Once he saw his friend, a smile formed and he moved to sit up more. In his rush to help Remus up, Sirius tripped over his own feet and landed in Remus' lap. "You alright?" the brunette asked in a quiet voice.

"I win," Peter said with a satisfied smile as he leaned back in his chair and folded his arms. He and Remus had just finished their tenth game of chess with him winning every single one of them. The chess game had been a gift from James and as soon as Peter had seen it he begged for someone to play with him. And only Remus was the only one willing to let Peter crush him.
Around their third game, Remus had realized that James and Sirius had stopped watching. In fact, they weren't even in the room. At the time, he assumed that they had just gone to get something to eat but they still hadn't come back.

When I finally awoke from my coma I realized I hadn't moved the whole night. I lifted my arm that was still slung over the side. It was (unfortunately) not connected to Brendon's anymore. Cautiously rubbing my eyes, I was careful to avoid the bruises around the left one. I looked over the side of the mattress expecting to see a still sleeping Brendon with an innocent, peaceful face.
To my surprise, he was gone. I lifted my head and glanced at his clock on the nightstand. The glowing crimson numbers read 10:48.
Laying my head back down on the warm lumpy pillow, I heard a clanging coming from the kitchen.
'Wow I hope Brendon's not actually attempting to cook breakfast' I thought. I closed my eyes and grinned at the thought of Brendon making breakfast and failing miserably.
I decided I should probably go and make sure the house wasn't in danger of catching fire. I swung my long legs over the side and slowly got to my feet. Quietly tip-toeing down the hallway and into the blindingly bright

It was the last night of our six month tour and everyone was glad to be heading home at last. Although we were sad it was coming to an end, I think we all missed our own beds instead of the messy crowded bunks on the bus.
Running off stage with adrenaline in high supply, everyone was excited. Following behind Spence and Jon, Brendon and I snuck a quick kiss before entering the crowded dressing room.
This whole relationship thing with Brendon had been going really well. We've been together almost four months. We never got tired of each other and the smallest things sufficed. And to think that we still hadn't had a proper date yet. Surprisingly, no one had found out yet but I had a feeling that Spencer was growing more and more suspicious ever since he caught us "sitting" on the bench outside the bus a couple weeks ago. Whenever Brendon and I were together, Spence would shoot a questioning glance at us. I didn't let it get to me and I had to remind Bren to just shake it off. We would hav

Rose turned to see Remus climbing up onto the roof and smiled in amusement. "You were late last time too. This time I was expecting it." She didn't mention that she'd only just gotten here herself.
He chuckled and took a seat beside her, looking at the sky. "Snow tonight."
"Probably." She replied. The silence stretched on.
"So...um Did you enjoy the Feast?" he asked finally. Rose nodded quickly, glad to have something to talk about.
"The best one yet I think."
He grinned. "Thanks to the Pharaohs?"
She giggled and nodded again. "Yeah." She looked down at her forearms, at the bandage there. She'd gotten the members to sign their names on them! Ramses, Tutankhamen, Seti, and Hatshepsut.
Spirals - Chapter 5Sirius took his time when he claimed he'd forgotten something after breakfast. It gave his three friends time to get to the Potions classroom and take their seats. As he laid there for a few minutes he listened to the sounds of the others. Peter was snoring loudly in the identical bed to his right, James was mumbling something in his sleep across the room, and Sirius was moving around in his bed on his left.
Once Remus was more awake, he uncovered one green eye so he could peek out at his window. It had snow the night before and half of the glass was covered in the white powder. 'I wonder if they still want to have a snowball fight...' Remus thought to himself as he sat up in his bed and stretched.
