Marijuana is safer than the drugs that society regulates and controls--those that we have come to consider to be socially acceptable. Alcohol and tobacco both can cause overdose, as well as a wide myriad of illness and diseases, not to mention strong physical dependence for both as well.
It is scientifically and physically impossible for a human to OD on weed. It is less addictive than caffeine or aspirin, and has recently been shown to have no link with increased risks of lung cancer or degeneration of brain cells, among other things.
Just to be clear, the numbers here do not include deaths due to accidents due to the substance. I believe it's something like about 20 per year for cannabis worldwide
For almost 40 years, the US government has known that THC can stop and eliminate cancer, even in terminally ill patients. As more and more people die, I wonder why we're still fighting marijuana with such force.
At least we should try to eliminate something like poison ivy first....
1st of three THC awareness posters... It's amazing how people fighting it always tout it as 'getting you high'. Alcohol gets you high, and it's not illegal. Anyway, this poster is to let you know that THC is more than just for getting high
I do NOT smoke cannabis, but I know people who do and they seem to carry out normal lives. This is a tribute to those people. Of course, cannabis can cause problems in people's lives when not used in moderation- I believe cannabis can cause many problems to those psychologically addicted. Though, cannabis has medicinal value that many scientific journals have found and I believe that if someone has a serious medical aliment, that patient should be allowed to use it as long as they are not blowing smoke in my direction.
With that said, the negative stigma around cannabis makes me a little uncomfortable posting this as it associates me with cannabis. But, this is art, it is supposed to be controversial I guess.

EDIT: Wow, this is ALL over tumblr! One person posted it and it had 1700+ notes now, wish they would have credited me though...
