New Living Translation (NLT)
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows[a] that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him
the sins of us all.

See how much God loves us? And God underwent all these services and sufferings because of His Great Love for us.
Jesus once said that "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15)
Today we celebrate our Maundy Thursday: and for Catholics and Protestants, today we commemorate the day when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. The washing of feet during the time of Christ was considered as one of the "dirtiest" and lowest job around. But despite this, Jesus humbled himself even to the point of doing this dirtiest job of his time.
It is mind-bogging to think that an Almighty GOD will serve his own creations instead of the reverse. But all this He did because of one thing: because of Love - out of his pure Love for us. The dirty feet represent the

I wasn't Catholic but I accepted anyway because I wanted the money. As far as jobs go, it wasn't much of one - I usually worked just one day a week and made $200 a month tops. But I was getting paid to do something I enjoyed and that was fun. Plus it was amusing in a weird sort of way watching the collection baskets get passed around at every mass and knowing that some of that money would soon make its way into my pocket.USA: Support the Catholic church or you'll be next3 years ago in Personal More Like This
What did I spend all that "Catholic" money on? More like what didn't I spend it on. With most of my room and board already included with tuition, I was free to buy - among other things - all sorts of alcohol, porn, satanic blackmetal (back when people actually bought music), slutty clothes, and - most memorably - an athame for my wiccan ex-girlfriend's 20th birthday (I did mention I wasn't Catholic, right?) There was the Knights of Columbus there, and they saluted to all the candidates. Made me feel honored. And welcomed into the Catholic Church as if I'm a knight of Christ.

Dear St. Anthony, you loved God so much when you lived upon the earth.
You were even known, even then, as a great Wonder-worker, so great did His power live in you. Now that you are in heaven, you share in God's glory and in His power in a more perfect way. Look on me with kindness as I come to you in my need. I pray for healing for myself and for those whom I love. Amen.

St. Jude is one of the most popular saints, because of the many heavenly favors getting his devotees to pray with faith. In Germany, Italy, America and many other places, has many devotees who get through his intercession admirable aid of God, especially as to get a job, house or other benefits more.
St. Bridget has in its revelations that the Lord told you that you wanted to get certain favors the request by St. Jude.
Judas is a Hebrew word meaning "praise be to God."
Tadeo means "courageous to proclaim their faith."
Simon means "God has heard my cry." A St. Simon and St. Jude are celebrating the feast on the same day, October 28, because according to ancient tradition the two were always together preaching the Word of God everywhere.
St. Jude Thaddeus was closely related to our Lord for his relationship with Saint Joachim and Anne, parents of the Blessed Virgin. Nephew of these two saints, is both a nephew of Mary and Joseph, he is the cousin of our Lord Jesus C

It is VERY inspiring!
Also: read the call of Moses (Exodus 3-4) - it is SO interesting and inspiring too!
One thing that I find really inspiring is in Exodus 3:11-12. Moses says he can't do it - God doesn't counter him and say, "You can do it!" God knows the truth - God knows all our weaknesses. He doesn't call us because we're good enough - He calls us because He calls us! God's reply to Moses is not, "You can do it! It's inside you!" (all those stupid empty things people like to say nowadays...) - it is: "I will be with you." THAT is what matters. Not that we have the strength to do things - because more often than not, we are weak rather than strong. What matters is that GOD is with us.
I remember when I was still in school, and still had to join sports classes (oh horror of horrors), and I was always the slowest, the teac

A New MonthToday (April 1) the world will celebrate its April Fool's Day.A New Month3 years ago in Personal More Like This
But for the Church and its people, today it will celebrate the Feast of Palm Sunday - the Day that marks the beginning of the full Suffering of our LORD named Jesus Christ.
This said Feast is meant to commemorate the day when Christ entered into Israel's capital city of Jerusalem with its people welcoming Him with palms and fronds. By doing so, He WILLINGLY placed Himself into the verge of death because most of his enemies who wanted to kill Him was also in Jerusalem at that time.
He did this, not just to fulfill all the prophecies that was written a full 800 to 250 years before the birth of Christ; but more importantly, so that world might witness how much GOD loves us all - when He willingly suffered and died on the cross just to save humanity from sin and death. Not something an ordinary human would do.

"Be free, my beloved child - just don't forget tell all your friends and love ones what I have done for you."
Paul, the servant of GOD, once said that:
"...Love keeps no record of wrongs." (1st Corinthians 13:5)
And this is what exactly GOD did when He forgave all our sin when Christ died on the cross. Even the other person who was crucified with Jesus on the cross was no exception. This person was forgiven all his sins in the last moment of his life, all because he remembered everything good that Christ has done in his life. Because he did not forget, Jesus also did not forget to bring him on that very day to Paradise.
The Sin vs. Sinner ParadoxAs Christians we are supposed to be Christ like and yet one area we continually fall short of is judgement of sinners for their sin. Many of us act like Pharisees, Sadducees, Wouldn'tsees and Couldn'tsees when it pertains to sinners and their sins. Each of these groups ends up in one of 2 ditches. In order to keep a right viewpoint it becomes necessary for us to hold 2 diametrically opposing emotions and continue to function as God intended. The Sin vs. Sinner Paradox4 years ago in Personal More Like This
The RIGHT Ditch. The Pharisees and Sadusees were so bound by the law that they had no mercy when dealing with sinners. Either you lived up to their perceived level of righteousness or you were outcast. They invented new rules for believers to live under. Need I remind you that Eve's first sin was not eating of the apple but putting words into God's mouth? Thus sayeth the Lord should be reserved for things the Lord actually said. As such these "law only" people would judge based on the sins they saw and missed the kingd

What now can be more awful than these things? For in truth the Church was a heaven then, the Spirit governing all things, and moving each one of the rulers and making him inspired. But now we retain only the symbols of those gifts. For now also we speak two or three, and in turn, and when one is silent, another begins. But these are only signs and memorials of those things. Wherefore when we begin to speak, the people respond, with your Spirit , indicating that of old they thus used to speak, not of their own wisdom, but moved by the Spirit. But not so now: (I speak of my own case so far.) But the present Church is like a woman who has fallen from her former prosperous days, and in many respects retains the symbols only of that ancient prosperity; displaying indeed the repositories and caskets of her golden o
God is LoveHave you ever felt very alone and without friends or even family in life? Did you ever experience the heartfelt pain of losing a loved one? Did you ever become left by your sweetheart for any reason? Well, the earth is a place filled with less sympathy, kindness, compassion, trust, honesty, and most of all love for one another. Now the earth is a place ruled by Lucifer filled with hatred, selfishness, cruelty, meanness, and lies towards each other. What fares beyond the walls of these obstacles of love Satan has put into our paths? The will of the Lord is to have us all be merciful, and kind to all. No matter how much mistreatment others have shown you. If we are to be like them, then how would we be improving anything of the dreadful state of the world? To reap great harvests, we should sow seeds. To obtain the compassions and care from others, we should sow words and gestures and actions that express good will and kindness. You are a child of God because of what Jesus accomplished for you. Not because of anything you accomplished on your own. Some people worry and feel bad because they know they are supposed to be involved in ministering to others somehow, but they don't feel like they are living up to their full potential, or maybe they don't feel like they are accomplishing anything for God at all, and so they feel like maybe God is angry at them for not doing what they are supposed to do. When we follow after God
Life just doesn't make much sense
It's simply not true that
We have hope for life beyond this life
That choices we make now matter for eternity
That abundant life is found in following Jesus
That we were created to live in relationship with God
But before anything you must know
That hard work and caring for yourself is the way to survive
Many people i know have this philosophy
Believing in God is a crutch for weak-minded people
I refuse to believe under any circumstances that
We can truely discover our destinies
If we follow after God
Whether you believe or not
This is the truth
You should know that i believe exactly the opposite
