I'm a girl of only seventeen
Trying to understand what life is supposed to mean
And behind the smiling green eyes
is a mind that has dealt with too many lies.
That's me, standing in the background
And I'm wishing to have someone to be around
I want to experience this thing people speak of
For it seems everyone's found "love"
I'm hoping you can see this today
so that you know you can walk away
Though if you stay, forever I'll remain true
And in this life, I'll start anew.
Dear Future Love, please come soon and hold my hand
This lonely feeling I can no longer stand
Please save me from endless over-analyzation
Save my heart from complete annihilation.

and long, the little light reminisced
glimpses of a tattered face;
it was with eyes that sought in
blindness that he reached for
a figure, and it was with intention
named for an angel he only knew
briefly that he became the little
brother named shealtiel, the one
and in bitter reconstruction, Heaven built its fabled trees from blood-soiled wreckage, planting wayward flowers and whispering of betrayals for there were those that had almost-but-not and fewer that had remained wholly loyal.
in a skin that blossomed with
novel sensation, shealtiel recalled
few moments of infancy: there was
sunset, there was warmth, there was
one called abdiel who spoke like he
pained; in the midst of violent hands,
against a backdrop of peril, he stood
like a terrible specter, and had shealtiel
ever known such a love? it burned like
needy bile, retching ugly thoughts of
never finding his memory in the heaps
of lesser brothers or finding abdiel les
Five baby kittens, a momma, and me.Five baby kittens, a momma, and me.3 years ago in Emotional More Like This
Today I got a message from my mom on my phone, it was a picture four baby kittens in a cardboard box.
I was gushing with cuteness, while I had my grandma take me over there ASAP so I could see the baby kittens. Come to find out, they where hiding under some leaves my mom was raking up and was discovered accidentally. Their mother had ran away as soon as my mom got close, leaving the kittens in our hands. We kept them in the box, keeping them company for a while. Once I was done cooing over them, I looked up and saw the mother from a distance. I picked up the box of the mewling kittens, and took them to the shade. The mother watched as I picked up the loudest kitten and sat him beside the box, and I slowly stepped away hoping she would come and get him. But then, my dad drove by on the four-wheeler (-__-); spooking the mom and causing her to run to the side of a small collapsed barn. I moved the box to near the barn, and again proceeded to taking out the loudest kitten and setting him b

Tiny body, little frame,
To my heart its now contained
All is love; youre so na´ve
Out there is a world of pain
Random murder, acid rain
What a contrast you provide
To your master's bloody sky!
Go on to sleep once again
Unawares of human shame
Profit gained of blood verbose
Crueler worlds could you have chose?
In this world of human stain
Innocence itself, a strain.
To your virtue, one aspires
Killing off ones own desires
Purring thus, you carry on
To the brink of blood hewn dawn
What to wake? What will you find?
In the hands of human time.

All of death is death. Life,
too, is like death.
The way it erupts over you
laughing and spinning.
I was confused
so I asked God: What should I do?
Move your body and have emotions. The birds were dancing.
Could you be more specific?
But now God was busy arguing with Moses.
All of life is life. Death,
too, is like life.
The way it erupts over you
laughing and spinning.
Tomorrow is the sound
of a question falling
on a bed of questions.
Today I hold out
your name, God,
in the public square.
Yesterday reason, the slayer
of song, wended its way
into our will.
All of light is linking. Dreams,
too, would see us separated.
The way it erupts over you
laughing and spinning.
All of God is God. Dark,
too, is like God.
The way we usurp it
laughing and spinning.

Darling, you and I both know
in a better world I could be your Lethe
wrap around you, drown you
that ever tried to bring your fate down on you.
Still if I picked up the pieces
I'd hear their soft hum
the one shells moan for the sea
for even then there would be places in you
still not free.
Surely women must have learned by now
never to trust fruit.
A garden is a prison earned
and there is nothing satanic, nothing sacred
Yet when your body curls in on itself
seduced by not-seeds that need only thirst to root
you find your lips wet
and what might be blood or juice
becomes the same as sweat.
Your skin is singing
I swear, hymns to the colors
the way the world's ringing hurts your ears
the salt of the Dead Sea come alive in your tears
the smell only in the sky as the rain clears
the poppy-eyed bud people who spend years
walking around, faces turned toward the light
thrusting pomegranate crown

was weakly lit and stuttered its first words
in a hoarse chirp (humanity, love) before it came

There it lies before me. Silently criticising me. Mocking me. Motionless. An orb. Large. Round. And very. Very. Blue.
This is not the first time I have come face to face with this foe. Nor will it be the last. Soon I shall annihilate him! And the safety of humanity will fall upon me. Tiddle's the superior!
Well what did you think I was going to say? Do you really think there are such things as super heroes? Don't be silly! Kittens however. We exist. Sadly not all of us have homes and we are forced to roam the streets, keeping those nasty rodents and their diseases at bay. Sadly, though, your human minds do not see us as the reliable cleaners we are, you see us on the streets and assume we are worthless or broken.
However, back to the orb. I'm not allowed to touch the orb. O

Her father called her petite reine. He owned an antique chess board carved from ebony wood and maple. Some days she'd sneak into the library, pry open the old chequered box and pick out one of the queens, and she'd turn it round and round, searching for imperfections. It was a plain, ugly thing, huge and fat in her tiny grasp. She had wondered if he thought of her this way.
She wondered the same now.
Her hands were not her own. A businessman in a white coat had grown them slender and strong, built her carbon fiber bones and nails like arrowheads. Her mother reminded her of this when the

Those are the only words that are being processed into my mind right now as everything around me was a giant canvas of swirling and blurred colors that would've been a beautiful painting, if it wasn't for the fact /why/ it was like that. My shaking, (s/c) hands were outstretched before me in an attempt to slap away all of the branches and foliage that managed to get in my path as I ran. My legs felt as if they were on fire with all of the adrenaline and blood that was pumping through them, but none of that mattered to me anymore. The intense heat and pain from my legs only encouraged me to move even faster than I was moments ago.
Encouraged me to escape death itself.
A loud crackling noise was heard not to far behind me and a blinding, blue light struck the tree only a few feet away from my head. The blast made me recoil instinctively and it felt as if a root came out of the ground and grabbed my ankle, pulling me down. My mouth opened to scream but no noise

I'll make a promise, here today
To love you, in every way
I'll always listen, to what you say
No matter what, it'll be okay
This poem is to say, and tell everyone I know
That in every way, I've started to grow
I'm seeing who I am, seeing where I want to go
I'm listening to my heart, moving with the flow
I realized somewhere, not too far along the line
That boy or girl or anything else, for me will be fine
If I truly love you, I'll do anything to make you mine
And I'll be hoping, that you won't decline
Truth be told, I'm gender blind
No matter what, I will be kind
If you stay with me, soon you'll find
What it's like, to be gender blind.

violence makes -
the terrible crushing song
dropping from the sky
or children's feet
mutely shuffling a lullaby
against cellar walls,
the noise of small animals
cold metal wire
and innocence losing hope
to rough hands
lurching from the dark.
Those sounds could break
a weaker man,
suck strength like blessings
from a stranger's heart;
but he could savor
its last coda -
the bludgeoning whispers
and souring cries
between his ears
with a dying note.
