Unlike most, I love the unbridled, unaging, uncommitted-to-any-given-appearance elements of literature.
Give me the Weasley Twins, Lestat, Sherlock Holmes, Peter Pan,
and hold the Tom Cruise and Bob Downey Jr., and Danny Radcliffes,
because I can't stomach that artificially flavored tripe corrupting
the pure, all-natural fruits of authors' labor that took oh, so very long to cultivate
upon the open fields of literaculture.
Give me "Frankenstein", "Carrie", and "Dracula",
but without the makeup and costumes and lights, and, while you're at it, just toss me the script to read and just admit that you had run fresh out of ideas
when you decided that "Twilight" would rake in the dough at the box office,
because there is no way on this Earth of mine that I'm letting Robby Pattinson's
sparkley face represent the refined grace that is the "vampyres of olde".
Give me the dialogue, not the lines,
and give me the imagery instead of the sets
