The young life has lost the last thing very dear to them.
Having nowhere to go, no one to see, all the lone soul can do is ride aimlessly as the thoughts of what could have been flows through the wondering mind.
Fond memories and keepsakes are all that's left from the brief yet content time shared as a complete family,
One ponders what to do now; the crisp clean air of nature fills the senses.
Shall continuing to do good deeds make the pain go away,
Or shall the bitterness that is brewing within become the new life that will lead down onto the dark road instead.
Settling down on the tender rock floor under the star-covered sky,
The silence of the night provides a veil of ambiance for the troubled being.
The uncertain future hangs in a balance,
For the only friends a misguided gunslinger has is a steardy mount and a fully-loaded six-shooter.
