Journal #11Well another month has gone by and I did not get as much done as I hoped. I had not been taking photos for almost a whole month and I have not managed my account in that time either, so right now I am in the middle of catching up to speed. I will be spending quite some time adding photos that I took from even as far back as September, I believe, and submitting photos to groups, as well as many other things necessary. My months goals have not been accomplished but I am not letting these events determine my mood. I am now a year older, as well my birthday has passed recently, also I had a lot of fun with a friend of mine. We went to go see a movie called Argo, which was excellent, and then went to have pizza. I had a good time even though my other friend was not able to make it to the movie. Well anyway moving on, My art is still improving, and I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CHECK OUT MY OTHER ACCOUNT PAGE: :iconnoJournal #111 year ago in Personal More Like This
50 essential shooters tips:4 and 54. Use a wide aperture for portraits50 essential shooters tips:4 and 51 year ago in Personal More Like This
Anyone with a cat knows that when they're hunting or playing their irises contract to enlarge the size of their pupils. This has the same effect as widening the aperture in a camera lens: it makes the subject they are focusing on very sharp while causing everything behind and in front of it to blur. We call this a shallow depth of field. This is perfect for portrait photography, as it draws forward your model within the scene, making them the central focus while the background falls away. Choose f/1.8 or similar wherever possible.
This image of a chicken was taken with a wide aperture to keep the subject in focus while blurring the background.
5. Use a narrow aperture for landscapes
For landscapes, on the other hand, you want to have everything from close-at-hand foliage to a distant mountain in focus. This is achieved by selecting a narrow aperture. If possible stray towards f/22, or whatever the tightest setting your camera allo

An Extraordinary DayThis past day (Feb. 5th, 2012) is likely one of those days I will never forget for the rest of my life. I met someone incredible, someone I've been looking for a long time.An Extraordinary Day2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I feel like nothing can ever be the same again after today.
While it's still just the beginning of whatever this will become, I'm quite certain that I am falling in love.
ART is served:iconkenderson: of :icondevpremium: had the idea to use some of my artworks, and discuss each one of them every week, for educational reasons.ART is served2 years ago in Personal More Like This
well i liked the idea, but not to use only my artworks, so we decided everyweek, to host one artwork from different artists of DA... so
....every week, we'll pick a fabulous picture and discuss it directly with the author.
Post a question about the concept, the camera settings or anything else you're curious to know.
The answer is guaranteed!
Also, if the author especially likes your question, you will get a very special feature in the group front page!

Remember Taking Photos?First of, I am in no condition to talk about real photography, And the title might be a bit misleading, yet I go on with this journal entry to encase some of the experiences and stories in the ever changing world of photography around me.Remember Taking Photos?9 months ago in Personal More Like This
Quantity over Quality:
I was lucky to get a lecture from an elderly person about concept, composition, space and lines when all I had was a 35mm film. I listened and explored, learning. That was many years ago. Made many mistakes when developing film in the kitchen sink and had to make every shot count including considering which film to buy. Then the digital era came in my country at least, wedding photography exploded. Some photographers undertook more wedding work in hopes of quick cash and for better hardware and when it was done they persuaded further in to the genre of photography they liked to explore. Now, another breed drawn to this mass of "quick cash" joined in with shiny DSLRs and started competing by offering lower price brackets for 3 ti

the storm that never comes
Waitin' for those clouds to turn the darkest
Sittin' in a house that you won't call a home
Cryin' for the rain to
come and swallow you
Mama won't you take me back to better days
mind was wrong but the words they came out right
Had I known that age would
take my breath away
I'm sure I would have put up a better fight
Baby I got
numbers all across my skin
Reminding me of all the times I let you go
the rain will come around and drown my sins
But life's not kind I for one
Now I'm wondering where I left myself
Back before and the spaces
Dark in day you will never understand my pain
All the things I've
heard all the things I've
heard all the things I've seen
Time tells all but it don't tell me
Time is cruel but it helps me see
Time is all the things you want and hate
Time is all I need
With city lights making up for the missing
Each night seems more redundant than the last
So if you want me will

Where art is truly lost. What I meant to say is general people along with myself included, from the surface do not realize the effort that goes in to making even a simple sketch. Much worse to the fact that Artists are generally taken to be an extra curricular activity of society. Expression comes in many forms, an architect designing with his intrinsic design skills would conjure up a great looking shopping mall, museum etc. His profession is taken seriously and his art is gives the person the power of self expression. Yet he is not an artist. He attained those skills from his university like a set of tools in his bag. Taught under many professors and as the student progressed along, his thoughts and designs changed according to the requirements of his professors. To attain a good grade, the skills evolved. Not justifiably to the better end. Yes now he may have a masters degree. But is he truly an artist?Where art is truly lost.2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
