The final round in the long running art trade between myself and .
Aya Matsui vs Alexa Doren (all black gear) fighting for glory and bragging rights in the tenth and final round. The fight is close and they pull out all the stops.
This being the last in the series I decided to go big and this is my first animation outside of easytoon, it's rough around the edges but I'll keep practicing and working to get better at it. But that's always been the goal with this art trade was to mutually push ourselves to bigger and better things.
I made this for of Candygirl dispatching the purple vixens by herself and then bring them to her uncle meatman's house to humiliate them while he taking a nap. The noise candygirl makes woke him up and then he wants an explanation on what she's doing due to him being confused. Surely, he doesn't make anything of it except "WHY?". There is a movie reference in this but I won't say what it is because that'll ruin it. Also, I thank for giving me the idea for candygirl's theme, which was her name, "candygirl"- by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. I hope you enjoy it like dangerfan did. Boy, was he thrilled on how this came out?
The thought occurred to me earlier this morning that it wouldn't be too tough to implement a first person view in my game. And it wasn't, at least to get it this far. I may add some fuzzy vision or darkening vision, or both, for when you get punched in first person mode... we shall see.
For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a part of the Street Fighter II staff, lol, creating fighting games. As time pressed on I became a lil' more ambitious, wanting to create my own fighting game. I don't think it'll ever happen, but this' the furthest I've ever gotten with that ambition.
I haven't experimented with animation much, so this' all fairly new (and fun!) to me. Initially this animation was over 10 frames long, lol, but due to an inconsistent flow I had to discard half of the frames I made for it. It's also stationary now, whereas before she'd strafe from side to side.
The end result is still pretty choppy but gets the idea across. An' yeah, definitely influenced by Chun-Li, lol.
I have to do this one in 2 parts because my animation program is starting to act up on me, or I'm starting to make these animations too big for it to handle, I don't know. Well, here's part 1 and I'll upload part 2 later. Hope you enjoy it.
this is an animation i did for my final project in communication technology class and its different from what i usually do but i am happy with my resuts<3
a huge thank you to wenqing yan aka yuumei for letting me use her picture "tape it back together" as the base of my animation [link] and creating it into an animation of how i saw it in my head. ***all art and animating is done by me but the actual written words and idea is by yuumei. ***song is caged bird.
i love the story and the topic is very strong and as soon as i read the picture, it really touched me and i wanted to do something with it so here is my result
***also check out the short visual novel she made called "1000 words" [link] also based on the picture "tape it back together"
I added some blurring and vision dimming effects when you get beaten up in the first person view. The blurring is kind of hard to see in this clip since the flash conversion kind of blurs things already... but you can still see the vision dimming as you get beaten up.
Also, in this clip you can see one of the characters I was commissioned to add to the game. She's the first realistic character I've added so far, there should be more to come.
