First Photo from TVT22 in Mexico City! I had the HUGE honor to be invited as a guest again. *happy happy* And I had the chance to take pictures with magical photographer . I LOVE his photos. The really can do magic. *_* The location here was really horrible, because we were somewhere backstage. But he did such a great job. I tried a little watery edit, but I failed. XD Nyah...
So first shot of Umi, the costume which I wore for the first day. Ahh! The whole con was so wonderful. I went together with my dear friend who was invited, too. She is so talented and damn funny. XD
I don't know what to write anymore. I hope you like it. Btw, I love my new wig. That means.. more Umi cosplay to come? XD
PS: I borrowed my costume from my friend Iya since we didn't have time to make the costume for myself due to the rushed schedule. I do thank her for lending hers. Sword was made by our dearest friend Kevin.
Second pic from backlog!!! Yay for CLAMP <3 So lucky to be cosplaying from Magic Knight Rayearth with two beautiful ladies to accompany me ^^
Myself as Ryuuzaki Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth Photography and Editing by ~pireze Costumes all made and worn by respective cosplayers
as Shindou Hikaru as Hououji Fuu
So much thanks to for photographing us that weekend <3 ICIE IS GOD!! Many more thank to *GoldGlorfindel who made our beautiful jewels for our costumes and was there to offer her home for a group sewing session <3 thanks girls for all the assistance!!
At Otakon 2011 this past year, I undertook a project that I've been dreaming about forever! I love Magic Knight Rayearth, it's a childhood memory and a great show/manga. CLAMP's art has always been so inspiring. So we did it!
Costumes made entirely by us. Armor made from EVA foam, resin, and numerous other things. Hours and hours went into these, and we are really proud of them! (Swords are still to come... haha, don't worry!) Clothing is made from cotton sateen, cotton and chiffon! <3 Corsets were cut from a real leather hide and wet molded to us for a custom fit.
Photo by Nate B. Thanks sooooo much! <3
Also, if by chance you saw us at Otakon and got a picture, let me know! xoxo
