Love is down
Love is going through
When you want to go round
"Love is never having to say you're sorry"
But you say it anyway
Love is all those secret smiles
When there's nothing more to say
Love is having scars on your feet
From wearing the shoes they bought you
Love is listening to 'I love you's
And knowing every word is true
Love is writing silly poems
Exactly like this
And love is not actually knowing
Exactly what love is
The GirlShe lives in a fantasy world in her mindThe Girl8 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
where life is so easy and everything's fine
She knows she can't stay there, but she sure as hell tries
It's better than facing her own web of lies
She hides from her problems and runs from her fears
She drowns herself every night in her tears
Some call her a coward, some call her insane,
I'd like to see them take one half of her pain
She runs away,
not knowing which way to go
She tries so hard,
but she just can't let go
And all of her lies
are getting harder to hide
And nobody knows...
That she's dying inside
She knows that suicide isn't the way,
though she thinks of it at least once every day.
Too proud and afraid to face her own mistakes,
She just hates herself more with every heart she breaks.
She runs away,
not knowing which way to go
She tries so hard,
but she just can't let go
And all of her lies
are getting harder to hide
And nobody knows...
That she's dying inside.
These thoughts just fill her head
She thinks she's better off dead

I want you to turn away, ignore me for a while…
I hear them talking about me, I know what they say
That I haven't a heart, that I drove them and her away
So maybe I'm lost, and I've no clue s'what to do
One thing I do know, I won't ever need you…
I don't have time for lectures; I need to pay my dues
There's things I must be doing, and I don't have time for you
So step out of my way, learn to let me pass
In the end it's all the same, you'll be one of my past
It's not like I'm lonely, or bored, or confused
I'm just sick of her games, of feeling so used
I don't quite know how, and I'm not quite sure when
I'll lower my shields, and learn to trust again…
I know I'm missing something, that I'm somehow incomplete
As I wander down the middle of the empty, barren street
But I will not ask directions, for I need to find my way
Back to where I'm welcomed, back to someplace I can stay…
Heavy Metal Is The Law --I live in metal.Heavy Metal Is The Law --6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I die in metal.
My bones are made of steel.
I am a metal demon,
A dragon of the rock,
A warrior of alternativity.
I live by the law of metal.
The blood of vikings flows through my veins.
Like my fore fathers I was born to inflict pain.
Heavy metal can't be beaten by anything,
But only because of us;
We must all be willing to die for metal.
Heavy metal is the law.

When you do something because your gut tells you to
When you do something for the love of doing it
When you do something with no monetary goals.
is When it doesn’t matter how many times you talk to someone,
Every time you do it again, it’s a new, exciting, experience
When you do your job without ever having to work
When you can look in the mirror and feel pride without vanity
When a smile is on your face and you don’t know how it got there.
The state of being when you
do what you Love, and Love what you Do;
have Love and Passion

You laced your hand in mine
and I watched the morning sun while you slept in my arms.
I heard you gently breathing.
It lifted from your lips like a contented sigh from the kiss of sleep
and I reveled in the warmth of your body against mine.
But I dared not close my eyes
I feared the cruel trick of dreams' illusions
and held you all the closer lest you be gone when I awoke.
After all, when your dreams come true
what then are left but the nightmares of loosing what you have
and the pain of watching them go?
By and by exhaustion took me from my vigil
and I saw you dying in my arms begging to be saved
asking why I had failed you.
With a start I woke fearing you'd be gone,
just another figment of a love starved mind,
but you held me and told me it was just a dream.
And in that moment I understood.
For the first time
I was not alone.
Take a lookLook me in the eye and deny it.Take a look3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Go on and try it.
Search my eyes.
Look long and deep.
search the shadows as the creep
across the dark recesses
because anyone's guess is
as good as mine
when they ask me why.
Search the sunbeams,
and the broken dreams.
Sift through the pieces
Left lying in the creases
of the folds across my mind field.
Watch your step.
It's a long way down
Look deeper inside
Each little cranny I used to hide
Each fortress and parapet
Way down as deep as you can get
in castles and moats
and little sail boats
skipping across the bay.
Look in my eyes and say
Because it's all there
and I don't care
if it all breaks and tears
and the tears roll free
and send me sinking back in misery.
Because this is my chance
someone asked me to dance and I'll not say no
so on I go,
up to the moon
never to come back down again.
So I ask you to look inside
I've got nothing to hide anymore.
So look me in the eye and deny it

Love is when you care more about someone else's happiness than your own,
You would do anything for them,
You'd rather be with them than anyone else in the world,
You would die so they could live,
When you lose them it feels like you lose yourself,
They're the only thing you can ever think of,
You never even dream of being with anyone else, because they're everything you want,
They have many faults, but you're blind to them,
You would take them back no matter what they do,
When you're with them it's the happiest times of your life,
but when you're without them it feels like there is this great big hole in you
You always wanna be in their arms,
Everything reminds you of them,
You miss them the second they leave,
you're always worried about them
there is something in you just burning so deeply
you cannot even begin to describe it
you want to be the one they turn to
you want to be the one they trust
they can hurt you so much
but you choose to pretend that they don't

Someone asked me what is love
is it good, is it bad
is it awesome, is it terrible
I honestly didnt know how to answer them.
I finally desided love is the most complicated of all emotions
Love is kind
love is harsh
love is wonderful
love is terrible
love is a cure
love is a sickness
love is LOVE
love is hate
love is meaningful
love is pointless
love shows the best in people
love shows the worse in people
love makes us speak truth
love makes us lie
love understands everything
love confuses everyone
love builds your life
love tears your heart down
love makes you smile
love makes you cry
love makes us cuddle
love makes us hit
love makes the world go round
love makes the world go crashing down
love makes things simple
love makes things impossible
love is always worth it
love is never worth it
love makes us smarter
love makes us stupid
love is enlightening!
love is BLIND

make war out of love
love is peaceful
love creates fights

You don't know how cold I am,
here on my own.
But I'm used to this feeling,
the chill of being alone.
Laying on the shower floor,
water washing over me.
Tears pouring fast,
so many I can't see.
Curled into a ball,
as the water beats down.
The tub slowly fills,
and I pray I drown.
In my heart,
a crack begins to grow.
On the inside I'm dying,
but no one will ever know.
I want to be warm again,
feel you at my side.
Friends say the pain will pass,
all in due time.
Maybe I don't want to move on,
maybe I don't want to heal.
But laying on the shower floor,
I just don't want this to be real.
Another day to wake up,
another morning of sorrow.
Laying here again,
is where you'll find me tomorrow.
The DressOver the years, people have gone to truly extraordinary lengths in pursuit of fashion. A catalog of peculiar gowns would fill several volumes, even without getting into bizarre hats, wigs, gloves, codpieces, shoes, eyeglasses, and all manner of other demented accessories, and I will not so tax the reader except to mention a few highlights. The Dress5 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
Dresses of strange materials are not uncommon. Among the oddest were the mycorrhiza gown of Milicent von Pratt, a wrap of finest fungal threads. This sensational outfit required almost two weeks to put on, requiring Lady von Pratt to paint herself with an agar and compost growth medium and lay prone in a fungal bed for most of that time. It was only worn once, and deteriorated significantly during the course of the evening, requiring her ladyship to retire quickly from the entertainments.
And then there was the finchbone dress worn by the Dowager Duchess of Eastmarch, made from the tiny skeletons of nearly a thousand finches, carefully wrapped and hu

Strangle you with your defiant weeping
Making sence of all their wrongs
Quiet while your mind is seeking
Words to seethe through
Burning with your constant dreaming
Hoping for the fateful day
Not to come for rightful treating
Haunting you for longly hating
Thoughts you keep for much to long
Keeping safe is so degrading
Words don\'t show through
Talking won\'t show your mindless weaving
Escaping not all of their ranting
Daggers peirce and blood is seeping
Words are nothing
Not in this world of relentless drowning
Breathing keeps reality coming
Maybe breathless is only what I\'m wishing
Rant about villains in storiesFirst of all, I would like to remind all of you that terms "good" and "bad" are very relative. What I find good, might be utterly wrong from your point of view, especially in this case, when we can't lean on scientific facts. But I will do my best giving valid reasons as to why I think things should be done the way I represent them here. If you feel like my reasons aren't good and you disagree with me, feel free to share your thoughts, but please, give reasons for your argument. I enjoy discussion, even debates, and am always ready to "broaden my horizon", so to speak.Rant about villains in stories5 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
Clear? Good, let's begin.
Part 1. The Basics of a Villain
In the first part I'm going to talk about why a story needs a villain and what is generally expected form a basic villain type. These are only the very basics, a stand where we're going to build our villain's skeleton and flesh.
Okay, let's start with the basics
Alright, so you have a story and you want to tell it. You have a nice leading

One of dreams, the other reality.
One has you by my side, day and night
The other is making me wait.
I dream of you in faded gray
so close and yet so far away
The days go by, as do the nights
slowly bringing me closer to you
But not fast enough,
as I'm sure you'd agree.
The moonlight dances in your eyes
like incandescent fireflies
Yearning for your touch
Longing for your embrace
I wait with guarded anticipation
for the day when both are mine.
Such joy and pleasure do we find
when joined in body, soul, and mind
We paint time on feathered wings,
hoping that it may be inspired to take flight
bringing the day of our meeting ever nearer to reality.
Our efforts are in vain, as we well know
Yet anything to more quickly close this distance between us
is certainly worth trying.
Sweet nothings dance on fingertips
as we've found better use for lips
Until then, I will keep waiting
since time refuses to move any faster.

Adjective Use and Abuse
Writers these days-- professional ones as well as amateurs-- tend to use adjectives "like they're going out of style", as a friend of mine put it. I have seen writings that you can scarcely see the action for the descriptive word overload.
So word of advice: after you've finished writing your initial draft, get in there and start getting rid of the extra words. If one adjective suffices in getting across what you want to get across, then use that one adjective instead of having two. Your readers don't have forever; don't waste their time with unnecessary embellishment.
One of the most commonly made mistakes I have seen in writing is assigning an action to the wrong thing in a sentence, ie; "seeing the change in the atmosphere, hi

There is indeed something wonderful about witnessing the soul of a recently dead mortal step into the Afterrealm and assume a new life.
In the giant railway station that stands on the very brink between the city of Haven and the train lines to the Mortal Realm (was it the result of ironic coincidence or a hidden sense of humor that our predecessors wound up naming the station the Haven Terminus?), there are three large gateways that one encounters upon entering the main hall from stepping off the train. It is here, at this crossroads, where the recently deceased must make a very important choice: they must decide whether they wish to reincarnate in the Mortal Realm, take a chance on Judgment, or stay here in the Afterrealm, lose t

About eight months passed. Nothing too terribly strange happened within that time. There were a couple things, here and there that Zalgo questioned. But not too much though, he’s learned not to ask questions anymore. They most likely won't get answered.
One of the strange things was that dark look he noticed in Esmaraldo’s eyes, he’s been seeing it. More and more often. Zalgo found himself avoiding Esmaraldo because of it. It, scared him a little bit. He didn’t know what these looks meant or why he even saw them. In his attempt to avoid Esmaraldo and these dark glances, he started spending most of his time out of the cave. Whether it was playing in the woods, or going into town to play with the kids his age. Or, at least try to. Zalgo was much stronger than the other kids, but he never realized how strong. More often than not, other children got hurt while playing with the young monster.
Meanwhile back at home Esmaraldo has stopped smiling. He almost seems, emo

This is the story of a man called the Eldridge Heir, and also called the Cursed Heir, and sometimes still the Cursed Heir of Eldridge. This man, and his unforgivable crime, are famous throughout the world of Seamosa, though since those events he has taken many forms. But what he did never changes no matter where in the world he ends up from there.
It was nearly 100 years ago already when the country of Brundirk was suddenly and violently destroyed in a single night. A rugged, northern country covered in cold mountains and long seasons without sun, the Brundies were the children of Ilosia, the dragon queen of illusion, death, and darkness. Underneath Brundirk was the ley line of shadows, created from Ilosia's own flesh to ensure the continued survival of the world of Seamosa after the war with Demons almost devastated it forever. And Brundirk conducted itself true to its inherent nature. The Shadow witches of Brundirk famously used their powers over th
