The Mad Hatter is a Custom My Little Pony based on Johnny Depp's character from the new Alice in Wonderland movie directed by Tim Burton!

The Mad Hatter's outfit and hat were hand sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. His costume is based on the Variety magazine picture and he even comes with a sculpted brown rabbit and a hand sculpted tea cup.

I paid very close attention to details and included all the pockets, buttons, hat pins, and ribbons that were a part of the outfit!

He has been completely rehaired with dollyhair Firebird nylon hair.

I have been working on him for over two months and now here he is for his debut!

This pony was made from a white G3 My Little Pony named Misty Blue. She was rerooted with Katsilk hair in CM Midnight. The eyes were painted in acrylics and sealed. The dress and boots were sculpted out of Apoxie Sculpt, then the legs were painted black to simulate black leggings. Then it was all painted in acrylics and sealed. The headless doll was made from Apoxie Sculpt and has little jointed arms and legs so they flop around like a rag doll.

I love the star wars movies and love Yoda as well.
Thought he would make the most awesome pony custom and I was right.
He came out better than I expected though. At first I wasn't sure how well Yoda would transfer into a pony but I always love challenges and he was so much fun to make.

He also won 3rd place at the custom contest for the Cincy Ohio Pony Meet.

He will soon be on ebay.

Mmmmm...peanut butter and jelly. A classic for all kids and still one of my favorite foods. This pony was a bit of an experiment for me as I wanted to try making a custom My Little Pony with curly hair. The basic idea for this pony came from my boyfriend when I asked "what the heck can I do with a brown pony?" I had considered a peanut butter cookie pony but he was adamant about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, lol. The pony was originally a G3 My Little Pony named Butterscotch that I rerooted with Katsilk hair in Purple Passion. The eyes and symbol were painted with acrylics and sealed. I made the little jars of peanut butter and jelly, the bread slices and the knife out of Apoxie Sculpt, painted them in acrylics and sealed them. OH, and the name Jelly Curl is of course a take on the ever-popular Jerry Curl hairstyle, lol.
