Snowmint's Capture --- Chapter 8
Snowmint stared at Stagwing with the look of death in her gaze.
"I need to escape." She said, remembering how he referred to her as an object the day before., not realizing it was because he needed to save her.
"I know, I'll help yo--"
"GRAH!" Rashstar jumped out from behind the ferns that sheltered Stagwings den. The large ugly tom's face was filled with anger and a dash of sickening happiness. Stagwing's heart dropped to his tail.
Rashstar smiled his yellow fangs. "Traitor!" He spit in his deputy's face. In his blind rage he bit down into Snowmint's back, not enough to kill her, sweeping her out of the den to his own.
"NO! RASHSTAR! STOP! SNOWMINT! SNOWMINT!"
Loststar's mind was wheeling. Heatwave felt a chill rush down her spine. She glanced at her leader and noticed the brown queen jump from the chill.
"Snowstorm." She said. She looked around, "Something's wrong."
She looked over her small troop: Lushface, Berrysplatter, Sundeep, his appr

Stagwing watched as his sister, Blisscloud, walked away with the only cat he'd ever love, Snowmint.
Snowmint turned around at the entrance of the Windclan tunnel leading towards the fading sun ahead. The blood from the battle began to seep into the ground. Most of the dead cats had been carried away.
Stagwing realized, after seeing Rashstar's torn up body, that he was now the leader.
Blisscloud padded over to her brother, she drew her tail from around her and brought it to a halt on his bold shoulder.
"I must go to my mate. Good luck with Windclan. I hope you understand why I will not be returning."
Stagwing nodded, remembering the pain his sister endured after maurning the loss of her kit and mate. She hoped that she would be successful in having her kit return to her.
"Farewell. I'll always miss you and I love you." He rubbed his cheek against her's but as he spoke, he stared longingly at Snowmint.

Waspstar's Destiny --- Epilogue
The sun was slowly setting as the aged warrior was lain to rest.
His pelt, a glossy black and white, was withered with age. His muscles, once strong and vibrant, were covered in old battle scars. The brown she cat looked downwards, saddened that her deputy had finally lost his battle against Father Time. Death early in his family was common.
"Badgernose is now with Starclan," said Fogstorm to her young kit, Lushkit. Fogstorm, along with her sister Creekblossom, watched as the elders carried their father to be buried. Their mother, Sunspots, died many moons ago after a raid by Windclan. She hasn't been avenged, yet.
Yewfrost was helping bury her brother. Her black pelt still looked young. She wasn't too old, but her long legs began to crack and twist and she retired early. Twineheart walked next to Yewfrost, the mute she-cat tinged with gray around her muzzle and eyes. Yewfrost would occasionally talk to Twineheart, but she knew she'd never have a

Heatwave stood in the center of the camp. Three search groups have been sent out. Loststar stared down the black and dark ginger she-cat.
"I don't know!" Heatwave said somberly. "He ran off when I wasn't paying attention. He was talking about finding Snowmint and helping her, but I told him that, that was foolish."
Loststar sighed heavily. She was getting older; she didn't want this stress.
"Heatwave, take four other warriors with you to Windclan. Ask Rashstar if he's seen Dashpaw. If you run into Snowmint, ask her to come home." Loststar closed her eyes and whispered, "please come home."
Snowmint sat in the corner of her nest. It was raw and scratchy compared to her's in Thunderclan. The wind howled in her ears at all times, the cry of kits for the nursery was maddening. She stared at the ground for a long time before looking up to see Stagwing walking in.
"I brought you a mouse." He said, setting the morsel on the

"How dare you disobey me!"
The she-cat, so small and delicate, was up against the rocks and boulders that were so scarce in her territory. She couldn't run or hide. Her only choice of getting out of this was to die.
"You killed my father!" She yelled, her voice full of pain and agony, "You killed my mate! You trained my son to be a murderer! How can you expect me to obey you?! How can you expect me to live?!" Her silver tabby pelt flew up around her spine. She was scared out of her mind.
The tom edged closer to her. "If you don't obey me, I will kill you're whole family. Your little sister, Rowanpaw, your son..."
The she-cat's eyes grew wide, "No!" She looked downwards, "Please- Don't--"
The tom's claws began to recede.
She looked towards silverpelt and whispered a little prayer to herself. Then she looked back at the tom. He's anger was now changed with pride. Proud of himself for making another cat fall to his command.

Creekblossom ran into camp. Blood splattered her pelt, but Heatwave relaxed when she realized that the blood on her sister's fur was not her's. The calico she-cat looked vertually untouched except that she was breathing heavily.
"There was a small skirmish, by the Riverclan border. There's a wounded Windclan warrior that needs our help--"
"What?!" a large tom jumped up, "Loststar, surely we will let him die! We can't revive a warrior who was sent to kill us!" Murmurers of agreement rose.
Creekblossom's voice became high-pitched and almost pleading. "NO! You don't understand! He was running away from Windclan! His own clan tried to kill him!"
A loud gasp went out around the camp. Heatwave couldn't help but wonder why any cat would run away from their own clan.
Loststar's brown fur flew up in surprise. "Bring him to camp."
Dashpaw poked at the warrior's face. The Windclan tom was out cold, on the brink of death, but

Snowmint's Capture --- Chapter 2
A gathering was about to begin. Snowmint took her usual spot underneth the the large rock between Fourtrees. Beside her was the deputy of Windclan, Stagwing. He was a tall and intelligent looking white cat with smokey brown fur mixed with cream hair. His eyes were a mysterious silver. He was intimidating and made she-cats fall to his feet, but he had no mate. Snowmint felt a longing for him. He was someone she could never have. She deeply wished a cat as handsome as him was in her clan.
She looked at him, and then he glanced at her. She looked downwards awkwardly, feeling her face fill with blood and embarassment. When she looked back up, he was still looking at her, his lips curving into a slight grin.
'What are you doing, Snowmint?!' she yelled at herself inside her thoughts. Windclan has attacked Thunderclan countless times. She would never mate with a cat from a different clan. Especially Windclan. Never. 'Stagwing is just another pretty kitt

Waspstar's Destiny --- Chapter 7
Lostpaw, Yewfrost, Splatbelly, and Snowstorm were on patrol together. Tension between Windclan had been gone for years, but the clan was still wary. Riverclan and Shadowclan were now in a small war after Shadowclan killed several cats, including Milkstar and Icesplinter. It wouldn't be long before Lichenstar of Shadowclan began looking at Thunderclan as enemies.
Lostpaw was Snowstorm's apprentice. Both social outcasts were perfect for each other. Especially in their eyes. It was blatantly obvious that Snowstorm was in love with his apprentice, who he belived to be his cousin rather than his sister. Waspstar never told Lightwing's secret.
Whenever Lostpaw sat down, Snowstorm wrapped his short tail, a trait he got from Twineheart, around his apprentice. He'd cuddle with her when she got cold, he'd lick her when she was scared. He was perfect for her.
Unfortunately, fate was against them.
Speckpetal saw this behavior. She had become a permanent

Waspstar was busy talking to the senior warriors so Snowpaw took it upon himself to go out hunting. As he left the camp, he felt a sudden dread come over him.
Someone was following him.
It wasn't Slasher, it was actually the other apprentices. They planned to see who could make Snowpaw's pelt turn bright red. Sunpaw didn't know about this but Fogpaw, Yewpaw, and Badgerpaw wanted to see who could beat the rat out of this tom.
Before Snowpaw could think about pouncing on a nearby squirrel, Yewpaw was on top of him. Her razor-sharp fangs ripped at his pink eyes. He threw her off, her landing with a thud against a tree. Badgerpaw, the largest of the three, ran towards the skinny albino. His swiftness allowed him to slip passed the black and white cat.
Fogpaw was already at Snowpaw's throat. He let his claw rest against his neck.
"You're just not fit to be a warrior. Too bad Sunpaw wanted me to spare you. If you say anything to--"
Snowpaw jumped up suddenly, the cl

"This is so wrong."
Snowmint's observation of the Windclan camp left her feeling horrible. She puked up her food several times after watching the horror that the warriors bestowed upon each other.
Many queens were mutilated or killed if they didn't like the mates that Rashstar threw at them. Snowmint noticed not one queen had an apprentice, only toms. Rashstar had five queens he called his own, several kits bounced around that looked just like him.
The tom was ruthless. He was painfully overweight and bulging on both sides. His jowl was bigger than any tom's she'd seen before. A rash that spread from the side of his face down to his hind quarters made him just as ugly as violent. The disease he had killed one of his kits already, and a queen he didn't want anymore's face was covered in the red swollen skin.
The worst part of it all was watching Stagwing. Snowmint was afraid he'd participate in the killings, instead, he watched and did nothing. Sn

Loststar looked out beyond the rock she was sitting on. It was early in the morning, the sun was just barely seen. She breathed in slowly.
Berrysplatter and Heatwave were next to her. They didn't speak for they knew she needed silence.
Beetlewing and Smallpaw were arranging herbs outside their den. It was too nice of a day to work inside. Smallpaw, a small blue-gray she-cat, picked up a leaf with one of her white paws and threw it at Beetlewing. The medicine cat was usually serious and shy, but he made a face and threw it right back at her, cuffing her ear a little in playfulness.
Lushface, the oldest daughter of Fogstorm, and Frostybreeze, the only kit of Creekblossom, were sharing tongues. The two she-cats were best friends and did everything together. They grieved heavily for Dashpaw only a few days before.
Yewfrost and Twineheart were beside the Elder's den. Yewfrost was telling stories to kits and apprentices, and a few warriors, while Twine

Lostpaw watched her mentor run away. His white pelt slowly fading away. Snow began to fall from the morning sky. Clouds blanketed the sun and it soon became a somber dark.
Its took the apprentice a minute, but maybe an hour, to realize that her and Sunspots were still in the same place that their kin attacked them.
Snow continued to fall at their feet.
"Somethings going to go terribly wrong." Sunspots said, sniffling with either sadness or a cold. Or both.
Lostpaw didn't know what to think, "Is he really my brother?"
Sunspots shrugged, "Ask Lightwing."
As he was patching up the cut below her eye, Lightwing told Lostpaw everything. Life can't get much worse when your mother is a mute medicine cat and you're potential mate is your brother while your father has become a traitor against you're clan.
She walked out of the den feeling stupid and lost. She laughed to herself when she realized that's probably the reason for her name.
It was time for

Waspstar stood tall and proud on highrock. Her orange fur rustled in the wind and she closed her eyes for a breif moment.
She then saw Sunsteps. The starry ginger tabby walked slowly over to her daughter and whispered in her ear:
"Beware the calm before the storm."
The image of Hoaxface clouded her thoughts. When she blinked, everything became clear.
Snowkit and Sunkit eagerly awaited their apprentice ceremony.
"Sunkit, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Sunpaw and you will be mentored by Splatbelly."
The two cats walked up and touched noses. Sunpaw was hyper and ready to learn. Snowkit, on the otherhand, was drooping his shoulders and looking downward.
"Snowkit," suddenly, snickering came from below highstone, "...excuse me, does any warrior wish to speak? I didn't realized I died and we have a new leader."
Four apprentices stopped smiling and were now keeping their bearing.

Welcome, I've been expecting you.
Lostpaw and Berrysplatter were huddled together now. It was the third day of the storm. Snow had piled around the camp, insolating only the nursey and the elder's den. Every cat was in either one. Waspstar was in the nursey while Webcatcher was in the elder's den.
Lightwing stood beside the deputy.
"The storm has only just begun." was all he said.
Snow crunched outside the den like leaves being stepped upon.
Cats were outside the den.
They smelled of carrion.
Slasher had brought his friends.
A battle was about to begun.
"Lostpaw," Webcatcher said in a whisper, "When I say 'go', get Waspstar. Run for your life."
Lostpaw gulped. She was much smaller than any other cat her age. He warrior ceremony would be in a moon or two. She could die tonight and never see that day. She was never the fastest runner. And what if she saw Slasher? Would she recognize him as her father? Would he kill her? Would she have to

Snowmint pressed her body against the ferns trying to hear Rashstar and Stagwing talking.
"Our kits will be excellent," Stagwing said confidently, but he felt sickened as he said it.
Snowmint let out a loud gasp, 'He's using me!' She clawed at the moss under her and began franticly looking about for a way out.
A queen who happened to hear her chaotic movements slowly walked in. She had an angelic presence and a grace that slowed Snowmint down.
"Hello Thunderclan she-cat. Snowmint, right?"
Snowmint had never met a cat that didn't know her. She was the deputy after all.
"Yes, that's right. And you are...?"
"Blisscloud." She paued, her voice was so elegant, Snowmint longed to be in her paws, "What are you doing?"
Snowmint felt a trust towards this cat, "I need to escape. I need to get back to my clan."

"Beetlepaw, you will be mentored by Lightwing. I hope that his wisdom and knowledge will be passed along for generations to come."
Beetlepaw joined his sisters, Creekpaw and Fogpaw. Fogpaw and her mentor, Lostheart, stood proudly together. Lightwing needed to get a new apprentice since Twineheart was a useless medicine cat not being able to talk to other cats. She became a warrior and was surprisingly a skilled hunter.
Splatbelly and Creekpaw decided to join Lostheart and Fogpaw on battle practice.
Fogpaw sighed, "But she's bigger than me, and I have no tail--"
Lostheart laughed, "Embrace you're differences." She said, remembering something that Songweaver, the elderly queen, told her.
Fogpaw looked almost exactly like Stormcry. With less black in her pelt and more creamy tan fur. She was a lot longer, but still had short legs.
Beetlepaw and Lightwing went to work on herbs. The black apprentice mirrored his aunt, Yewfrost, almost perfectly. He h

"I smell kittypet," the apprentice said. "But only one."

Little did they know amber eyes were watching them from the shadows. Ragged fur and a large scar created this hideous beast.
Blood stained his pelt, a pelt that he never washed. Blood that would be coated in new blood. 'Soon' he thought, 'soon I'll get my revenge.'
Slasher was on the move.
Speckpetal gave birth in the Medicine Cat den, along with Twineheart. Although the queens thought it was odd that the calico queen did not kit in the nursery, Lightwing assured them that he thought "there might be complications".

"Hey, RATPAW!" Fogpaw yelled.
He violently swipped at his den mate and managed to draw blood from the albino tom's cheek.
"I didn't know prey could become warriors!" Another apprentice taunted.
They ran after him, pushing him into the dirt until the white coat of the victim was covered in dust.
Sunpaw walked over to her brother. Instead of defending him, she kicked dirt into his face.
"Rat." She said, regretting nothing.
Fogpaw and Sunpaw walked away, twining tails.
Snowpaw laid on the ground, still bleeding and dirty. He tried to sleep, but he kept feeling oddly...
Twineheart was slowly but surely recovering. She was completly mute but Lightwing begged Waspstar not to change her beautiful name.

Lightwing also noticed that his apprentice was pregnant, and he knew it wasn't his. 'Hoaxface must have done this,' he though feeling horrible.

Stormcry's Prophecy --- Chapter 10
"Stormcry, I don't care that you mated with Solemenstar."
"You don't?" Stormcry asked, very confused. She confessed to Splatbelly what happened between her and the Thundreclan leader earlier that day, now over moon ago.
"No. It wont help our kits if they're torn between fathers. We probably wont know if they're Solemnstar's or mine. But I want to be a father to them. I never had a father and my kits deserve the best."
Stormcry cuddled up to her mate. Full of love for him, she felt like her heart would burst. She looked down as she felt a small kick. The kits were growing, and fast. Stormcry's small body could only hold them for a little over a moon and a half more.
From what she could tell, there were two. She desperately hoped that they were Splatbelly's children. He was the one who loved her, no matter what.
The clan hated the idea of Stormcry being a mother.
"I hope your mother and you shared fates." Waspfur said one day later.

The smell of blood was so intense, Stormpaw wished that she had a tail to cover her small pink nose. Waspfur ran up ahead, her beautiful pelt rippling in the breeze of the moor. The second wave of cats was about to jump into the battle. Stormpaw braced herself, for she had never been in an actual battle. She could feel Bluemoon at her side, urging her to survive.
Waspfur's war scream traveled to the camp. When Stormpaw reached the entrance, a slain cat stared at her cocked eyed, its guts pelted across the dust. She turned her head just in time to see Solemnheart scratching out one cat's eye while a white she-cat jumped on his back and aimed her claws at his shoulders.
Stormpaw flung herself awkwardly on the white cat, pulling apart her ears. The she-cat lunged at Stormpaw, but missed her by an inchworm-length. Stormpaw kicked hard and blood spurted from the white cat's neck. Jumping backwards, the cat fled the camp.

"When I get my warrior name, will you be my mate?"
Stormcry stared at her apprentice in disbelief. He looked compeletely sane, and gave her a puppy-dog eyed look. He loved her. And it was painfully obvious.
"I want to be able to protect you. You've helped me learn what it is to be a warrior and I'm so grateful."
"But every mentor does that. Every mentor is supposed to teach their apprentice. I'm nothing special." Her esteem dropped as she tried to tell Splatpaw he was mistaken. No cat had ever loved her. And never could.
"You're different. Its not just that. You were made for me." He grinned at this. Stormcry fought her own mouth from doing the same.
"I can't. You heard the prophecy. You could die. I killed my mother. My father. My siblings. Bluemoon. Gustyfoot. Sunsteps...oh Sunsteps." She looked down. She missed the deputy, full of love and compassion. Now in Starclan.

Her eyes were wide and watering. She wouldn't cry, but she blurted out, "What about you?!"
Solemnstar looked confused.
"Is it about me? Do you think about me? Do you like me? Is my apprentice your son?!" She said this in barely a whisper, but she was sure the whole clan heard. Splatpaw shifted awkwardly beside his mentor.
Solemnstar didn't say anything. His eyes, though young and lively, looked distant and ancient.
"Come on Splatpaw, let's go get some prey." She said this in a hiss, directed right at her leader. Her love.

Solemnstar was on patrol with Stormcry.
He desperatly wanted to lure Hoaxface in, just in case. Stormcry didn't like being used as bait, but she felt safer with a cat with 9 nines rather than her with 5 other regular cats.
They came to a lovely patch of pink flowers. Solemnstar watched as Stormcry bounded through them, setting petals everywhere. Solemnstar grinned longingly. "You look so beautiful."
Stormcry froze. She didn't want to fall for this cat. Not after she had just got over him. She wanted Splatbelly, who just earned his warrior name, sleeping after a night of watching the camp.
He walked up to her and let his long tail wrap around her small body.
She felt her body heat up. She suddenly wanted him. All of him.

Everything turned slow motion. Snowmint felt the blood in her ears pulse.
Her eyes darted back and forth as bodies poured into the camp.
Claws, like brambles, ripped at the flesh of these bodies, blood splattering against the dust and leaves that flew up around the cats.
Sundeep and Berrysplatter were fighting two toms of equal size. Lushface found herself face-to-face with five hungry looking apprentices, ready for blood. Snowmint launched herself at the apprentices, slashing her claws at their faces, catching one in the nose and another in the eye. They scrammbled away and Lushface gratefully nodded, running over to help Fogstorm.
The shy black tom, Beetlewing, was helping Whitecoal up and leading her away from the battle. Snowmint just caught a glimsp of a long jagged scratch streching around her shoulder. The medicine cat's tail dropped as he noticed her apprentice, Shockpaw, was u
