I'm VERY proud to announce that the submission was successful, and that our Hartera Music Festival multimedia promo campaign and related interactive mobile application (part of which is the Radio Jesus comic which I co-authored, with the entire campaign being themed around it) is now in this year's official selection of the national (!!!) Designers Society as one of 9 works in 'Electronic and Interactive Media' category, and will be presented on the exhibition opening on September 13th in Museum of Arts and Crafts here in the city!
Fantastic achievement, innit?
...but if we happen to grab a prize in the category at the end of the opening night, I think I won't be sobering up for days......
Holy crap......the selection, exhibition and awards don't happen annualy.
The event takes place every two years!
And we made it in!!!!
Twice the sexycoolness!!! :sque

'Life Drawing 5' by algaegoblin
Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi
Critiques and Critics Recovering from my little dental surgery ( I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist), I've had too much time to think. So I was thinking about comments, critics and critiques on Deviantart.Critiques and Critics3 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
No, this was not prompted by anyone commenting on my work recently (please do not send me notes asking if it was you ). Just cumulatively over the 4 years I've been active here.
PS: This is a longer journal, If you are not an avid reader, you might not want to commit lol.
I'm not talking about using the official Critique platform here. I don't think you need a special window or anything to give or get information. And most of us know, you can get it just through regular comments that don't require a PM.
I've just noticed some things over the years here, and this is just in my experience on DA, but let's see if it matches up with anyone else:
The artists of very high skill/professionals usually don't leave much criticism of any

My 2 cents about educationON THE SUBJECT OF SCHOOLS, I FELT COMPELLED TO CHIME IN. If you can afford an expensive school then take it if you like but if you can't then obviously don't go to an expensive school. Just like you wouldn't buy a car you couldn't afford. My 2 cents about education2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The best thing about the "good" schools are the students because when you hear a school is great everybody flocks there, including many of the most talented... but notice I said "many" and not "all" the most talented.
"Superstars" can come from city, any shape, any color, ANY AGE. We've seen it many times before.
The best way to cultivate talent is to interact with other talented or potentially talented people. It just makes us all work even harder. I had the great fortune of being in the same school and year with Pixar's James Robertson, Dani Strijleva, Ben Su and John Lee. And these are just a handful of the very talented people from my year. Just by being in the same class, this has influenced me to work harder than ever when I really didn't w
