Larth's WeyrOn the shores of the southern continent of Pern, a dragon lay amongst the warm sands. His name was Larth, and he was one of many dragons who, as Marco, their only human companion put it, were presently "being patient" at a place called Paradise River Stake, although most of the dragons simply called it Paradise - whatever that meant. Larth only knew Marco as "Duluth's rider", and as far as he knew, he was slightly older than he was, as he had been here as far as he could remember - which was not very far.
