This pegasus was made from a Strawberry Sunset G3 My Little Pony rehaired with Katsilk hair in (if I remember correctly) Hot Pink and Turquoise. Wings were made with Apoxie Clay over wire. Wings and eyes repainted with acrylics and sealed. Removable tiara made from white seed beads, cultured pearls and beading wire.
This custom pony was inspired by the artwork of the artist Skeksy. I love her mixture of beauty and macabre with the stunning ladies, pretty flowers and the animal skulls. In keeping with her style this pony has been given an orchid flower and horse skull symbol. Her eyes have been blushed in a similar style to skeksy's Hakujin and she has been given painted lips. She has been rooted with bangs to make her hair fuller, and her hair has been styled. Inspired by Skeksy's work I decided to give the pony bright bangs to relate to the bright exotic flowers Skeksy uses in the hair of her models. Likewise I kept the actual original root a plain toned black.
I am really pleased with this pony and hope that I have honoured the style of Skeksy fully.
Moonrise was one of a set of two ponies that were my very first pegasus G3 customs. The other in the set is Sunset. Moonrise was made from a Fair Weather G3 pony rehaired with Katsilk hair in (I think it was) Sky Blue or Turquoise. The wings were made of Apoxie Sculpt over wire. The wings and eyes are painted in acrylics and sealed. The tiara is made of Swarovski crystals and beading wire.
This pony was made for Rochi-901. She won a raffle in which I had donated my services as a prize and this was her desired custom. It is of her persona pony Lady Tulip. She was made from a Sparklesnap G3 pony rehaired with Katsilk hair in Caddy Red, CM Yellow and Orange Blossom. The symbols are over the entire torso and rump and were painted in acrylics and sealed, as were the wings, eyes and horn. The wings and horn were made from Apoxie Clay over wire.
