'Dear Zachary' review.I WAS GOING TO SUBMIT TO NETFLIX BUT IT CRASHED >'Dear Zachary' review.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Let me just start by saying that this is not a movie to watch in your bed at 12:30am to help you get to sleep.
This movie is absolutely heartbreaking, and although I rarely cry during a movie, this did make me tear up a few times.
This movie speaks to the viewer on a whole new level. You don't want this movie. You live all 93 minutes of it, and this movie will certainly follow me into the future. This movie had made me want to have children and be as wonderful of a parent as Zachary's grandparents clearly were to his father.
The only things I do not lovelovelove are A) how Canada's government/judicial system in generalized as awful, when that should really have been said moreso about the specific judges, and B) after the second kinda of "post" in the movie, I had to turn the lights on in my bedroom because of the sound used at one point and also the repetition of certain phrases, just because they were so chilling.

The Ever Evolving Icon
What is it about a fictional character first introduced to the public in Great Britain in 1887 that has kept him being reincarnated, with generationally-correct upgrades, over and over again in film and on television? Who is this literary hero whose portrayal over the past century by such past masters as Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett to today’s vanguard talents Robert Downey, Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch has inspired such a continuing outpouring of fan appreciation?

Dear ZacharyRarely do I write a journal about a single movie. Most of the time, I might make up a top 10 list of summer movies... or something like that. But this movie that I just saw has me in such a state, that I have to share it.Dear Zachary5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Dear Zachary: A Letter To A Son About His Father http://www.dearzachary.com/ is a movie that will blow your mind. I'm not sure if you have access to it (rental, download, or whatever), but you need to watch it.
I'm going to do something odd in a movie review, and not tell you a single thing about this movie. I knew nothing about this movie before I watched it, and I think that's the best way to see it. Just be prepared to feel nearly every emotion there is.
And then do something about it.
hmjust finished watching "the sessions", wonderful movie. if you're just looking for an out of the ordinary movie i can really recommend thathm6 months ago in Personal More Like This
Besides that I also saw "martyrs" which is honestly i think the best horror movie i've seen in a long time, let me tell you my warning though, its rough. I mean its disturbing, really, fantastic for me personally.
watch the trailer but honestly, if you think you know what this is you're wrong. trust me. its worth watching if you're into that really twisted kind of movie
and now I will crawl back in my bed and cry about kenny and clementine why do i even play that stupid fucking game
Betta Fish Colors First, heres a rundown on the biology behind colors. This will help those who have plans to breed bettas and it also helps explain how colors come about. Like humans, fish color depends on the density of pigment in the skin. People with light skin have less pigment and people with dark skin have more. What makes bettas, and other fish, slightly different is that they have 4 different layers that control different colors. They have to have this because fish have so many different colors (humans are just a varying amount of the same color). The most important aspect in fish is that the top layers are dominant to the bottom layers; if the top most layer is a solid color then you wont see the layers underneath but those layers might still be carrying color.Betta Fish Colors4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
1. Iridescent layer (top layer): This layer is known as the blue layer and controls the amount of blue pigment. If there is pigment in this layer then you can have green, blue and opaque white

Date and time: unspecified.
Awoke in a puddle of blood and vomit. Rain streaming over my skin. Hat gone. Still clutching my face. Good.
Total disorientation. The city feels vaguely familiar, but totally unknown. It breathes of sin; darkness, greed, vice, corruption. I don my face and start walking. Is this Hell? I doubt it; it doesn't rain like this in Hell. I was able to find this discarded notebook in a dumpster. Not many people notice me, but a few see my face and recoil in fear. What do they see? Perhaps vengeful justice coming for them like a hungry beast in the night. Perhaps not.
Gotham City...I find the name scrawled above the entrance to the subway. I've never heard of this place. I begin to think that Dr. Manhattan didn't kill me, but transported me instead...to another place and time...to another world, maybe. "I can change almost anything..." he said. I screamed at him to do it. Maybe he had other plans.
I hear a woman scream from a nearby all

Feel free to note me if you have any questions regarding bettas or any other tropical fish. If you do not note me and leave a comment instead I cannot guarantee that I will respond in a timely manner, and time can be life or death when it comes to fish!
All responsible betta fish owners want to see their betta live a long and healthy life. But how do you know if your little buddy is sick? What are the signs of illness? And if he or she is sick, what is the culprit and how can you fix it? What should you keep on hand to help fight disease? How can you avoid illnesses? CORRECT HUSBANDRY IS KEY!
KEEP THE WATER CLEAN. Water changes are perhaps the most important factor for fish health. Don't be lazy!
Anything less than 1 gallon is unacceptable for a betta unless you are jarring multiple fry (under 1 inch long). The more, the better. Those little tiny contain

How to Breed BettasHow to Breed Bettas5 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Ok guys, so as promised this is my journal on breeding bettas. Im going to try and keep it simple, but no promises!
DO NOT BREED YOUR BETTAS UNLESS YOU KNOWN YOU HAVE THE TIME AND DETERMINATION TO CARE FOR HUNDREDS OF BETTAS! THEY ARE LIVING CREATURES AND DESERVE THE UTMOST RESPECT!
Before You Spawn them:
Purchase and start a microworm culture from aquabid.com. They are only about $4-5 dollars and are easy to care for but are absolutely vital to your young bettas. You must start the culture at least a week before you breed your pair. You should also make sure there is significant growth in the culture as well.
Also purchases brine shrimp eggs and a brine shrimp hatchery of some sort. Do some research in the area to find what works for you.
Purchases 50-100 ½ containers for your fry when they get attitudes.
Preferably, get a 30+gallon grow out tank.
Does and Don'ts of Betta CareDoes and Don'ts of Betta Care5 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
The goal of betta ownership is not for the betta to simply survive, it is for the betta to live the best quality life you can possibly provide for it. Do not buy a betta unless you have the finances and time to give him or her.
Feed once per day, only what he/she can consume in 5 minutes. Or feed half the amount, twice per day.
Remove uneaten food.
Bettas do not really like flake food. Pellets are preferred. Personally, my favorite betta food is Atison's Betta Pro. Bettas fed this for their entire lives grow faster, act more active, and live longer lives than bettas that I have fed other types of foods. Plus, I've never had one turn the stuff down and one container can last a year or more depending on how many bettas you have.
Bettas love live food. Just make sure that you only feed them things that are clean and well cared for.
Betta Fish Fin TypesBetta Fin TypesBetta Fish Fin Types4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Breeders have created dozens of varieties of bettas, and I am sure they are working on discovering new fin styles as we speak. First, there are two different types of basic bettas; plakats and betta splendens.
Plakats were the first bettas specially breed from wild bettas. Though they now come in many different colors, they have only three fin shapes.
Round/Wild Tail: The tail has rounded edges and is a dominant trait.
This male plakat also sports traditional "wild-type" coloring.
Delta Tail: The edges are straight and the fin extends less than 180 degrees.
Halfmoon/Over-halfmoon: The edges are straight and the tail fin extend 180 degrees (halfmoon) or more (over-halfmoon).
Veil Tail: These are the most commonly sold betta. Their tail fin flows down like a veil, which is the natural form the fin takes when th
Disqordilicious.So... wow... My inbox has been exploding all week. I've been completely floored by the response to my little graphic story about Disqord.Disqordilicious.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've gotten so many wonderful, beautiful, comments! I read them all, even if I do not respond to each one. I am so moved that so many people found my little story so interesting! Really, it makes me all glowy to know that I was able to hit the artistic nail on the head. Nothing is more satisfying to an artist than knowing that their work "got to people".
Many of you understood exactly what I was aiming for, and that makes me happiest of all!
Knowing that I was able to communicate my artistic vision (with a fan comic!) feels so triumphant. As I posted each page, I would read the comments and keep them in mind when painting the next page... I would put extra effort into emphasizing certain points and ideas of mine to help better communicate them. Really, all of your comments truly helped me to hone my idea and inspire me to keep up with the work. So th
