I saw Spotty peering into his water dish the other day and thought it was adorable, so I grabbed the camera and took a few pictures. To my delight, the flash gave Spotty a reflection, and I just love the outcome of this one. XD Don't pine away for yourself, Spotty~ Learn from your past life mistakes. D:
This is my absolute favourite picture I ever got of my first frog. His name was Cloud, and he was a pyxicephalus adsperus, more commonly known as a dwarf African bullfrog or pixie frog.
He died Monday, June 7th, of a bacterial infection. I had him for two years--it would have been three come this September--and I can honestly say he was one of the best pets I have ever had. He was the sweetest little thing. He always made me smile with his own huge grin, and he still does. I miss him so much.
So, here's to you, my little Prince of Smiles. I love you!
Edit: I now have what I would like to call Cloud's little brother, another pixie frog by the name of Vincent: [Princely Smile]
My mom and I went to the Glanmore Historical Museum, which is a really old building in our town that was lived in once upon a time. It was declared a national historic site in 1971, and it's really cool. [Glanmore Page]
Gah, that light is painfully distracting, isn't it? It was such a bright day. x_X I like this picture despite that, though. This is part of the master bedroom of the house, and probably the last picture I'll upload, since I didn't get very many artsy shots. All of them are either too dark, too bright, too blurry, or not good photos. D:
Santa knew exactly what I wanted in my stocking this year!
Yay a 'toed for my tree! ;u; Overall I'm REALLY happy with this. One eye has a funny spot but I don't care, considering other than that his face came out perfect even though I did things in the wrong order and ended up squishing his head while using a hammer to get the hook in... (just, don't ask). That's actually why his head is at a tilt, because it got squished on an angle. THAT I am happy about because it came out cute. :'D
Made of Sculpey III clay. No glaze because mine got all thick and gross. :<
Here's my new little baby, just brought home yesterday. She's an ornate horned frog aka Pacman frog aka ceratophrys ornata~ She's such a little cutie. Her name is Hanabi, which is Japanese for "fireworks" (and thus the Japanese title I put on the picture, which is "okaerinasai, Hanabi"). I named her so because she's colourful, like fireworks. :3
I hope she's with me a long time. X3 She's so beautiful~
