She was lost going up to the seventh floor, the stairs kept changing their paths on her and she was near tears because she was missing classes because of those troublesome stairs. "Poor little girl," she heard as someone chuckled on a passing staircase. Narcissa was immediately furious at whoever had called her a little girl. Probably that stupid brother of hers, Sirius, he was known to play such tricks.
So, with her brother in mind, Narcissa threw a nasty hex over her shoulder at whoever had insulted her, only to throw herself against the railing and begin apologizing as she saw who had spoken to her.
Lucius was sprawled over his stairs, clutching his shoulder and laughing softly.

That day the sky wasn't perfectly clear as some clouds were

Charles Montgomery Burns woke up by a soft nudge. He let a groan escape from his ancient lips and tried to open his heavy eyelids.
"Good morning sir," he heard the soft voice that awoke him every day. The hand that rested on his shoulder until he woke up moved away slowly and for a second Burns had the urge to grab the costumed soft hand and hug it closely. Not even Bobo had given him such warmth before and Bobo was his oldest and best friend. That hand, Smithers' hand, seemed very soft and tender that moment. He controlled the urge, nevertheless, and wondered on whether he was becoming a senile old coot.
Smithers opened the curtains slowly and just enough for a little sunligh

Spike was upstairs putting the finishing touches on his suit. 'Stupid tie!' he thought as he muddled with it.
"Spike, are you coming?" called Twilight from downstairs.
"Just a second," replied the young dragon.
As Spike continued to play with the knots, he eventually found one that worked. "Finally," he said to himself.
Not wanting to waste any more time than he already had, Spike turned and ran out of the bedroom. Instantly he looked down the steps to see Twilight looking up at him with a surprised expression on her face. She was wearing a red dress, a pearl necklace, and her mane was curled.
Spike's eyes widened as he looked at his lavender friend. "Wow," they both said quietly.
"You look amazing Twilight."
The lavender mare smiled and did her best to hide a blush. "You look great yourself Spike So, shall we head out?"

Charles Montgomery Burns was signing some contracts when his assistant entered his office. At first the old plutocrat thought that the younger man was there to bring another set of papers for him to sign, but he quickly realised that this was not the case. The younger man held nothing.

Charles Montgomery Burns walked down the hospital's long, cold, sterile white hallway. How many times now had he been in this very hospital? Countless it seemed, and every time he came out just fine.
But this time was different.
Instead of him being the one in the hospital it was his most trusted employee, Waylon Smithers, who was ill. It had all started around last Tuesday, a week ago to be exact, when Smithers had come in for work. Carrying a stack of papers, he suddenly stumbled and nearly fell as the papers went flying everywhere, an action that was rare for him.
When Burns had questioned him about it, he merely replied that he was tired and that Burns needn't worry about him. Taking his word for it, Burns kept quite about his employee's increasingly odd behavor until last night when he and Smithers were getting ready to leave the plant. Helga had apparently succeeded in her mission the moment she showed up for the school dance that night. All to just show Rhonda and her cronies how wrong they were, and above all, to impress her beloved.
It had started a few days before the dance, when Helga had overheard Rhonda making snide remarks as to how she (Helga) could never make herself presentable and less of a tomboy for the dance. They'd even made bets! How dare they. But Helga wasn't about to take it lying down. She confronted "The Internal Fashion and Gossip Queen" as she liked to call her, and told her that she too could doll up and look awesome for a dance. Rhonda accepted her challenge, and told her good luck, she'd need it.
She sure showed them!
On the day of the dance, she'd slaved over herself the entire afternoon to make herself look good. She bought herself a simple but elegant black cocktail dress, and a pair of matching black heels. She had carefully washed and brushed her hair out,

At the soft sounds of Helga prepping for the day, Arnold opened his eyes and yawned a bit, sitting up in bed. He stretched his arms and rubbed the sleep from his eyelids. Looking at the time, he grinned a little at seeing that he beat his alarm by about fifteen minutes.
"Well, good morning, football head."
Arnold turned his gaze to the source of the voice, and smiled upon seeing his longtime girlfriend in front of the full-length mirror, still in her nightgown, and brushing her hair. He slowly got out of bed and walked over to her, bringing his arms around her from behind.
"Good morning to you too, hammerhead." Arnold teased playfully, using the silly nickname he'd come up for her when they were kids, because of how her omnipresent pigtails almost looked like the sides of a hammerhead shark, without the complete shape or the eyes at the ends, of course. Sure, she rarely wore her hair in pigtails anymore, but it was still funny to use.
Helga stuck her tongue out at his reflection and th

He walked up to Gerald and smiled a little as they just casually did their "hand-shake", almost instinctually, upon seeing eachother. Gerald returned his smile, and shifted a little from foot to foot, his arms crossed over his chest coolly. "Hey, man."

The Easy Way Out Part 1The easy way out.The Easy Way Out Part 15 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
It was exactly as it was proclaimed.
People often took the easy way out as the way to go for any solution. They saw it as the good way. The right way. The easy way.
However, it's not always the best road to take. True happiness, though deserved by all, had to be worked for. But would be rewarding, and well worth the effort. It's not always easy to achieve true happiness and dreams, especially with life like it is. But knowing you stuck it out, and did your best, and worked your way forward, that's truly something to be proud of.
Helga knew from the beginning that she was taking the easy way out in doing all of this. She was giving up, and taking the next best thing. The easy thing. The one thing she would have to do little to no work for. She'd had enough of torturing herself, though admittedly her own fault, and wanted to move forward and have at least some kind of happiness and solace.
It started in Junior year. Brainy had asked her out. He decided to try to fight f

After reading an essay written by an anonymous fan, which was about this particular Hey Arnold episode "Arnold Visits Arnie", it inspired me to write one of my own. So do forgive me if I make references to that particular essay.
The episode can be interpreted in different ways, and yet we all know exactly what it represented and what it all meant. I really liked that episode, and as the other person said, it takes us into Arnold's subconscious like never before. Other than the episode "Married", but we'll get to that some other time. In this episode, we see a lot of what Arnold is thinking, and how subconsciously, he knows and feels things he doesn't know just yet, but is there.
So yes, it was very rushed and in the end descended into a nightmare-ish freak show, but that was just for comedic effect, of course. We aren't given, nor is Arnold, enough time to think about it, but it's enough to let us know what Arnold is thinking deep down below his conscious l

There was no way to wake someone up from that state, unless it either wore off on its own, which in itself would take weeks, with time added on if given an extra dose, or, if the antidote was injected into the subject in liquid or inhaling form.
Of course, not knowing this, Arnold was heartbroken at the loss of contact with the woman he had fallen in love with. Even if he knew, it wouldn't have done a lick of good anyway.
Now they were on the roof of the Sunset Arms, where Arnold had managed to roll and push her pod onto, by using a pile
