Carbon monoxide scare...I had been feeling nauseous all day when our CO alarm went berserk. We got out of the house with only mild poisoning, so after a few hours breathing in the freezing air outside, my mom and I were fine. So I'll be in a hotel for a few days while someone checks out our appliances.Carbon monoxide scare...1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Everyone, make sure you have a working CO alarm! Saved our lives, I'd say. Good thing I didn't take a nap.

"If I left, it would solve everyone's problems."
The thoughts that run through the mind of someone suicidal. Thoughts that ran through my own mind, I admit, many times these past few years. Thoughts that are far too hard to get rid of. Thoughts that I had today, for a split second.
As you battle depression, downfalls are part of the climb to higher, happier places. I posted a couple weeks ago about the rut that I was in. I think I'm still kind of in that rut, but I think I'm on the way out. I just need to write about it, because writing is my way of letting things out, because I am a writer, and writers write. And so I am going to express my thoughts, because if I don't express them, they'll stay bottled up in my little mind and eventually I'll drive myself even more insane than I already am.
Today, I came to a certain conclusion involving those very thoughts. I came to the conclusion that my parents, and perhaps my siblings at times,
Interview with Elena and Olivia CeballosOkay so I had a chat with two of my favourite artists and good friends who work very closely in line with visual development, and they agreed to do an interview!Interview with Elena and Olivia Ceballos10 months ago in Personal More Like This
This interview was conducted several months ago, and now the twins have a freelance position at Disney Toon Studios! Congratulations ladies!
Interview with Elena and Olivia Ceballos (~ELIOLI)
(My questions are in bold)
Thanks ladies for chatting to me about your work! We'll start at the basics - what got you both into animation?
Thanks for the interview! Surprisingly, our spark for this specialized art form didn't come from a Disney film! We were 7 years old, going with two other sets of twins to the theater who wouldn't be still. We went to watch Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. Being twins (not in all cases of course), we were so in awe at the same time from that point on by the animation produced by this studio called Dreamworks Animation. We started studying up on work from James Baxter, one o

Good Story Advice and the Power of PatienceI recently picked up a copy of Stephen King's the Dark Tower I and while I've yet to read the actual story, the book opens with a thoughtful introduction that contains a number of insightful pieces of commentary. However, the particular part of this opening introduction that really stood out to me was the portion where King mentioned Tolkien's influence on him as a youth and as a writer. He talks about how wildly popular Tolkien's work was with kids growing up around that time, and how reading Tolkien's work eventually inspired his own. In King's own words:Good Story Advice and the Power of Patience1 year ago in Personal More Like This
"But although I read the books in 1966 and 1967, I held off writing. I responded (with a rather touching wholeheartedness) to the sweep of Tolkien's imagination-to the ambition of his story-but I wanted to write my own kind of story, and had I started then, I would have written his. That...would have been wrong. Thanks to Mr. Tolkien, the twentieth century had all the wizards and elves it needed."
And that's a big reas
WOW and THANK YOU!I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Bronies never cease to amaze! We've far surpassed our fundraising goal for the BronyCon Documentary. Thanks to everyone who contributed and to all those who helped spread the word.WOW and THANK YOU!2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Dear Princess Celestia,
What an amazing group of people Bronies and those who support Bronies are!
Twenty-four days ago we announced our dream of producing a documentary about the phenomenon of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" and its dedicated fans who live its values in their daily lives. Well, not only have thousands of members of the Brony Community and other members of the public come forward to encourage us, enough of them have shown their generosity that we can make an even better film than we ever imagined! They also helped the project become the 2nd most funded film of

CAN'T DONATE?? You can still help! JUST CLICK "LIKE" ON OUR INDIEDGOGO PAGE! The more activity our campaign gets, the better chance we have of being featured on the front page. If that happens, we'll have far more exposure to new people than ever before. Just a simple click could help us raise more to help the animals and get us closer to naming the animals, and to a party with me and Tara. **
**UPDATE 4/25 -- we have just $3300 to go before we name an amazing, enormous Salcuta Tortoise TANK!
**UPDATE! 4/21 -- We have reached ANGEL TIER! Repeat: We have reached ANGEL TIER! You guys seriously rock! Onward to TANK!!!**

Many of you My Little Pony fans may have heard the amazing news that John de Lancie, who played the infamous Q on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and who I was so honored to have play the villain Discord for MLP:FiM, has announced that he will be Executive Producing a documentary about Bronies and Bronycon.
The new news is that Tara Strong (voice of Twilight Sparkle) and I have been brought on board as Executive Producers, as well. And to make this documentary as amazing as possible, we are reaching out to raise even more money for film on our Kickstarter page. Please see the official announcement below:
We are pleased to announce that Tara Strong and Lauren Faust have joined us as executiv

Animation Job FAQ
Q: How can I get a job in animation?
The absolute best thing you can do to get into animation as a career is to go to art school. Not only will you learn how to draw and how to SEE, you will meet people, students and teachers alike, who will give you new perspectives and will likely be the sources of your future jobs. (My first job came from one of my teachers.)
There are several schools that have fantastic animation programs that cover all facets of the atr form. Schools like the one I attended, CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS, will teach you animation (2D and 3D,) character design, storyboarding, bac
Art in Contemplation of Its Own BecomingDuchamp finds a discarded urinal. He alters it (by signing a name to it not even his own, but obviously “the artist’s”) and names it “The Fountain”. The most mundane, even off-putting, of objects is transformed by Duchamp into art. He submits it for exhibition and it is rejected. You might say the judges “pissed on” his idea. But the idea was born and persisted. Duchamp insisted the object was art because he as an artist presented it as such. “Conceptual Art” was born.Art in Contemplation of Its Own Becoming2 years ago in Personal More Like This

On another note, someone suggested I tackle the I am... meme tag thing-a-mabobber.
Here are the rules:
1. Start each statement with "I am"
2. Tell us 10 things that people don't usually know about you/are shocked to find out!
3. Then tag 5 people!'
Here we go!
1. I am the sort of person whom people assume to be very unintelligent :iconmingplz:. Dunno why :iconderpplz:.
2. I am hungry ALL THE TIME, yet am underweight. I have no idea where the food goes.
3. I am obsessed with clothing; I have a closet full of Balenciagas and my favorite designer is Alexander Wang <3! He went to my high school!
4. I am aiming to be a clinical psychologist.
5. I am relatively skilled in playing the piano. Been playing for 10 years now.
6. I am terrible at advanced mathematics.
7. I am a pilot. My father bought me my first plane when I was 15.
8. I am allergic to politics.
9. I am a member

I have a job. Did I tell you that? I work at the concession by the lake scooping ice cream. It gives your hands blisters. It's tiring. I need more sleep. But I cashed my first paycheck yesterday, so yeah, I'd say it's worth it.
I went for a very long and very hot walk yesterday and did not get a sunburn, so that's a first. Summer is definitely here.
My aunt and uncle came to visit for a day yesterday. It was nice. I stuffed myself with Chinese food, as I do every time we eat Chinese food. I can never not overeat Chinese food. I thought they were staying a few days at least but then they left this morning, so it turns out they were only staying one day. XD I didn't even know.
I need to write things. My summer goal was to get my book a publishing deal by the end of the summer. But I am as lazy as I've ever been and I have work to keep up with too so I don't always have time to do everything I'd like. I'll try to priorities things, though.
My summer plans include, b
Gwah CC. <3CC tweeted the quotes I did of him. https://twitter.com/#!/ccbvb/statuses/204332026885701632Gwah CC. <32 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is the second time a Black Veil Brides member has tweeted a picture I had did of them.
Like holy gee whiz Batman. Excuse me while I huddle up in the corner and rock back and forth in a state of disbelief.
I think this time one of my friends had sent it to him unlike with Ashley where a random person sent it to him.
That was stressful I have to admit. Everyone thought she had made it.
This time CC actually posted the link to the image on dA.
And similar to last time my inbox flooded. I left with 20 replies and came back to like 130 comments and favourites.
And I got over 2000 views on the picture in five-ish hours. Luckily my pageviews aren't too wonky as of now like with when Ash tweeted a link to my account, but I really don't know how this'll turn out.
But anyway. Freaking out over here you guise.
I don't even think I'm that good of an artist, so this means so much to me. <3
Sorry for the spam!Hey everyone,Sorry for the spam!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It seems somebody thought it would be funny to spam our group with 400+ pieces of unrelated art. I am so very sorry for the massive spam you have in your inbox by now.
I'm removing every single piece by hand since there is no mass deletion tool. :/ Up until now I allowed everyone to submit as many pieces as they wanted without needing vote. I won't apply the voting since this will slow down the submission process for everyone. However I will set a submission limit to 5 deviations per day. If anybody thinks this unfair and has a better suggestion, please let me know.
Furthermore the person who caused this has been blocked from the group. Let us hope this does not happen again with the limit I have now applied to submissions.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD COMMENT.
She deactivated her account. Fucking deactivated it.
There are many reasons why, from what I've heard, but long story short, people were treating her like shit.
That's right. People actually, consciously made the effort to treat the hardest-working, sweetest, most genuinely good-hearted girl like shit.
What the fuck, people?
There's been waaaay to much dArama lately. I'm not used to this at all, so I don't really know what to do. I can't believe that such people even exist.
And you all know who you are.
The hate on this site is suffocating. I'm lucky enough to have avoided it thus far, but I can only imagine how it is for others.
Please, spam her with love and support. She should know that for every fucked up moron there's ten others who love her dearly.
I love you Cali. Stay strong.

I thought the poster behind her was real, but it's photoshop. So they're trying to raise money to make that poster a reality. Not much time left for it because Brony Con's next week. Every bit helps and hope it all works out.
In other news. I'm NOT going to Canterlot Gardens. I wish I was, but issues come up. I need that cleared up.
People have been wondering how they could get my buttons. Um, I'm working on that and I will see how it goes during Brony Con. Don't worry I can always make more. Just hang on.
A lot of things are just going on and I'm only one person X_x
