Newcomer - Part 6Dusk approached the front door of Twilight's home and stopped. He'd decided, thanks to Applejack's prompting, that the best way was for him to just come out and say what he wanted to say. If Twilight felt the same way, then great. If not, then he was sure that they were good enough friends by now for it not to make her averse to seeing him. And while that thought was comforting, there was no avoiding the fact that if she DID turn him down, he was going to be shattered.Newcomer - Part 63 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Taking a deep breath, he placed one hoof on the knob of the door and turned, entering the library.
The main room was just as he'd left it this morning. The only difference being that Twilight was now awake and on the other side of the room, reading what appeared to be one of the scrolls that Spike brings up. And speaking of which, a glance around showed no sing of the young dragon. He had no bad feelings towards Spike, but he couldn't help but feel that his absence would make this whole thing easier for him.

New Discoveries - Chapter 25 Scootaloo sat in her bedroom with a dull, expressionless look on her face. She sat on her bed with her scooter, trying to replace the wheel that had been broken for the past several days. However, with all her thoughts focusing on Sweetie Belle and the events that had transpired, she hadn't found the time or energy to actually work on it. Even throughout the storm, the unicorn filly was the only thing that she could think about. As an attempt to try and clear her mind from the recent events and feelings that she was going through, she decided to work on her broken scooter, hoping it would take her mind off of things for a while.New Discoveries - Chapter 253 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Rainbow smirked as the other warriors looked at her armour with awe, as the crystal splintered the light and arcs of rainbow ran along its length. She could see Luna approaching and she struck a pose, hoping to impress the Princess with her battle ready looks.
"That's very nice Rainbow. Looks like Rarity outdid herself this time." Said Luna, smiling. Rainbow nodded her head and lifted herself off the ground slightly, hovering so that she was eye level with the Princess.
"And you know what's even better? I think that I am finally ready for proper battle." Rainbow told her, flexing the muscles in her arms and boasting. Luna raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Oh really? Well, the next charge is in fifteen minutes, you are welcome to join them." She said, and Rainbow knew that the Princess expected her to back down. Rainbow agreed, much to the surprise of Luna. Rainbow flew back to the main tent and strapped her sword to her back. She turned as she heard Fluttershy behind her.

Whispers in the WindThe boy shivered. He walked along the path slowly, the crunching of snow the only thing he could hear, aside from the occasional whistling of the winds through the trees. He took off one of his gloves and blew warm breath into the hand, before putting the glove back on with shaking hands. His thick, Kevlar-lined jacket was the only consolation to him from the harsh, cold winds, as the sun was setting in the distance, and it was already more than cold.Whispers in the Wind4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
He was a soldier, well, a few hours ago, at least. The dog tags draped around his neck and the rifle slung near his abdomen were more than enough proof. But, soldier or no soldier, he was a frightened, freezing child in this forest. And the weapon he had may be able to kill the enemy, kill any beasts, but there were things it could not kill- His fear. That, and the cold. And, most of all- his paranoia. He heard things, out in the forest- bad things. Sometimes he'd mistake the harsh wind for a rocket scream. There would be whispers through

Chapter 9: Hospital Beds
Spike opened his eyes slowly as a beam of sunlight shot across his face. He tried to lift his head up, but it felt extremely heavy, so he returned it to the pillow. It was then he was in a bed at a hospital. He then noticed the six ponies, his friends, in the room. And he saw Twilight Sparkle seated right beside him.
It was Rainbow Dash who noticed Spike's awakening first, "Hey! It looks like Spike is coming around!"
At the blue pegasus' words, all of the ponies turned their attention to the small dragon. There was some commotion to the news.
The dragon spoke in a very groggy and tired tone, "Huh? What's going on?"
"Spike, are you okay? How are you feeling?" Twilight Sparkle's mother instincts kicked in as she worried for the baby dragon.
"Sore .what happened?" Spike rubbed his head, where he felt bandages wrapped around his skull.
"Ya don't remember, sugarcube?" Applejack asked with concern.

Fluttershy stretched herself out on the cold grass, damp with the morning's dew. She rested her head on a rough, brown log, letting her head gaze up into the early morning sky. The stars had begun to vanish and the moon had started to slowly disappear. The sky started turning light blue, signifying that in a few minutes, the sun would rise. Surrounding her were trees, towering high into the sky with the tree tops joining together, forming a shelter over her. Fluttershy inched her way to her left, leaving a huge empty space on her right. Turning her head towards the uninhabited spot, the yellow pony started to speak.
"S-sorry I'm late today. I got held up " Fluttershy diverted her eyes to her hooves. "You're you're not mad are you?" he kept silent as she stared at the empty spot beside her.
The minutes of silence had allowed the first rays of sunlight to appear, piercing the canopy with small beams of light. Fluttershy stared back at the grass next to her.

"Oooh." I groaned, "I don't wanna get up."
I poked my snout out from under the covers to see that my clock's digital display read 9:29 A.M and sunlight beaming in through my small window making the whole room nice and bright with the morning glow. I just used one claw to rub the sleep from my eyes.
"Great," I muttered to myself, "Past breakfast and too far away from lunch. Man, I hate getting up so late or not late enough. Always just enough time to do something, but I have to rush."
I crawled out from under my sheets, my spine and tail making pop sounds like a cement mixer. It was because of all the late nights that I was so tired. I had been staying up late either talking with Scales and Jake, or writing. Sometimes both, the three of us wrote a little collaborative work together. It was fascinating really, just to see three minds on one work and the

Now, don't get her wrong, she loved being back in Canterlot again, whatever the reason. She looked out across the forest and shivered. In front of her was a large, mossy rock; the same rock she had walked passed half an hour ago. She groaned and looked down at her feet as she tried not to worry. But she was lost, hungry and tired. And she was lost. The voices in her head kept telling her so.
She sighed and ran a hand across the rock, feeling its fuzzy green coat as she kicked at a rock on the ground. It skipped and skittered away from her, disappearing under some trees. Then she yelled about how unfair it was.
She could feel herself slipping; her grip on reality fading. She couldn't let it slide, because she knew what would happen when she did. She knew the others in her mind too well.
She sat down in the dry dirt under the rock, holding her head in her hands. She'd had to deal with them for ever. Yet, she was still afraid. She was always afraid of what would happen when they took over.

Novus Vita - Chapter 1It's a nice day outside. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and there's a slight breeze in the air. How's that for a clichéd, picturesque Spring day? It looks nice. Thirty minutes passed slowly. Most of the time I just glanced at my notebook and tried to pay attention, which did not work because I'm so distracted by the classroom window and how beautiful the outside world appears through it. Disgraced to be alive at that moment, she did a hiss and turned back to her bedroom quarters, it seemed to be this way almost every night. She was ready to give up at this point, why did she even bother to wake at all to rise the gorgeous moon anyways? If nopony even wanted to bask in its bright white glory?

There were many possible of ways of going about the repair, but one must be chosen. One course of action must be called upon, or the whole project could soon be reduced to rubble.

The lavender pony was comfortable unlike most mornings, her back wasn't in pain as it was after nights spent on the floor of the library, but in fact felt massaged and soothed. As her eyes opened the blazing light caused her to flinch, as her gaze began to come into focus the light resided behind a figure looming over her.
