"Wake up, Mitsumi."
Mitsumi opened her eyes. The sky extended forever above her, dotted by islands of land. The grass swayed around her. It took a few moments for her to realize where she was.
She stood up and looked around. Although the sky was beautiful, she noticed a greater proliferation of purple clouds around her. The conditions here were worsening. It almost broke her heart to think about it.
Who had spoken? Mitsumi turned around, surveying everything around her, but there was nobody. It had been his voice, all right, but he was nowhere to be seen.
She noticed something on an island in the distance. It was a house his house! But compared to where she was, the house was up-side down
"I've got to get over there " she said. The island was very far away. She doubted she'd be able to make it if she jumped
Mitsumi backed up in order to get a running start. Then she dashed forward, taking a flying leap off the edge. Her momentum carried her well through th

The truth was that Mitsumi actually didnt know how to get to Sandgem. It couldnt possibly have been like the games, where the walk from your house to the Sandgem Pokémon Center took about two minutes. With a bike it was probably quicker than that.
Mitsumi turned left off of Lum Lane and onto what appeared to be a main street. She took a deep breath and started walking. She looked around in awe, unable to believe what she was seeing. Was this really Twinleaf Town? It was so much smaller in the games, only four houses but then, she assumed that everything had to be smaller in the games to make them playable.
I wish I had a map, she said with a sigh.
Hey there! said a voice, You look a little lost.
Mitsumi turned. A boy about her age was leaning on a mailbox in front of a house not unlike her own. He had short, messy blond hair, friendly orange eyes, and a kind smile. He was dressed in a long-sleeved shirt with orange and w

Mitsumi awoke the next morning to her alarm clock, which was making a very strange sound. Yawning, she reached to shut it off. Her hand reached the button, but it didnt feel like her alarm clock.
Mitsumi grabbed the clock and sat straight up in bed. She stared at the clock, which resembled a Starly. It was analog instead of her normal digital clock. It read almost nine.
Mitsumi looked around the room. It was nothing like her room at home. It was bigger, with wood floors and a window at one end. A TV sat in one corner with a Nintendo Wii hooked up to it. In another corner, near the double-door closet, was a desk with a computer. A poster map of the Sinnoh Region was on one wall, above a bookshelf jammed with mangas that Mitsumi had never heard of and Pokémon books. A single plush Pikachu sat on the windowsill.
Mitsumis first thought was kidnapping. Her second thought was that the room looked a lot like the players room in the hero

For the past week it had been raining on and off. Mitsumis mother simply blamed the infamous Colorado weather for the oddity, but Mitsumi had her doubts. It was probably just her over-reactive imagination.
Mitsumi disliked rain. She couldnt ride her bike through her hometown. She couldnt walk to her friends house, which was a few streets away. She couldnt go to the outdoor mall. Although it did give her an excuse to play video games all day, shed already beaten most of the ones she had. The ones she hadnt beaten had gotten boring after a while. After all, how do you beat Nintendogs?
This sucks, Mitsumi said that Sunday, staring out the window at the pelting rain, I want a real adventure.
Mitsumis dream was to be a Pokémon trainer. She knew that Pokémon didnt exist, but that didnt stop her from imagining what it would be like. She had almost all of the games, all

For a fourth time, Mitsumi found herself in the Reverse World. This time, she was standing on stairs made awkwardly of rough stone. The stairs formed a narrow, handrail-less bridge and connected two sides of what appeared to be a town. All of the buildings were similar to Zeros house in their accordion shapes. Mitsumi wondered if there were any people living in this strange town, but the daylight made it difficult to see inside the windows. Nobody was out and about; you could hear a pen drop from a mile away in the unnerving silence.
As Mitsumi looked around nervously, a bubble drifted towards her. Curious, she took a look inside it. The contents shocked her.
Someone with a stocky build, light hair, and a lab coat with the Galactic logo on the back was inside, standing in a dimply lit room with sinister machines. Two identical Galactic grunts flanked him, both wearing lab coats of their own. On a machine in front of the man, and partially obscured from Mitsumis view, was an

Mitsumi spent the night in the Floaroma town Pokémon Center. When she woke the next morning, she went outside to explore the town.
Floaroma was a quiet town that was covered in beautiful flowers. The air was clear and the sky above the town seemed to go on forever. Each house and shop had a garden in front of it. Mitsumi hadnt had the chance to see any of it when she first entered the town, since it was dark by then. She noticed that the towns entrance was marked by a beautiful wooden gate. The gate hadnt been present in the games, so it made Mitsumi curious as to where it came from.
The beauty of the day made Mitsumi excited. She took out three Pokéballs from her bag and threw them in the air, allowing her three Pokémon to come out of them.
See, guys? This is Floaroma town, said Mitsumi. Domiraa was at first nervous around Pocchama and Shinx, but the two Pokémon welcomed the third like a sibling. Mitsumi smiled and began to walk, her P

Hello there! someone said. Lukas and Mitsumi turned to see Professor Rowan approaching, along with two other people. Professor Rowan was a tall man in his sixties with white hair and a moustache. Mitsumi assumed that the labcoat-clad pair flanking him was Lukass parents.
Lukas, were back, said the Professor, My fieldwork was a complete success. I will need your help in writing a report to send to my colleagues oh! Who is this young lady?
The Professor gave Mitsumi a once-over.
You don't look like you're a trainer yet, he said, Have you gotten your first Pokémon?
No, said Mitsumi.
Shes Mitsumi, said Lukas, She came all the way from Twinleaf town.
Thats a way to walk without a Pokémon, said the professor sternly, Please, come inside so I can give you your first partner.
Mitsumi followed the professor inside the lab, with the aides
